I started going here after some terrible experiences with my mechanic of several years, and E1 has consistently been great to work with. I decided to give them a shot after such an incredible experience getting my windows tinted at their other shop. I am car illiterate and they're super patient with me. They've caught and thoroughly explained improper past fixes and what kinds of issues I have. They are proactive in communication, are friendly, and the ability to get an uber ride to and from the shop on their dime is incredible. They've also given me a loaner to use when they've had my car for extended periods. My last shop (European Service Center ) felt like I was picking up a part time job just to get any communication and my car would sometimes be there days on end without getting worked on. I feel like E1 is super respectful of my time, cares about my business, is very professional, and keeps me informed without me asking- it's so refreshing and appreciated. They are not the cheapest but also not wildly expensive either; their pricing is on par with my last shop and things are actually done right. I recognize that things don't always go perfectly and care a lot about how a company reacts to makes things right. I had a slight issue with my struts repair after about 9 months after the fix and they stood behind their work no problem and fixed it promptly (they have a 3 year warranty on work done). I don't know how they have a 4.8 because they've screwed me over every time I've taken my car there. They claimed I needed new struts on my car, but it turns out it needed a control arm - which they "replaced" just a year ago. Then, they told me I needed front rotors, and new brakes all around - my out of pocket for everything would be about $1,700 ($349 for the struts, covered by my warranty) and $1,400 for the brake job. Turns out I barely needed rear brake pads, the rotors were fine and the front brakes had about a year left on them. Prior to this they damaged something under the hood while repairing something simple, which made rain water flood the interior of my vehicle. They claimed that it was a clogged drain, like it wouldn't have at least been slight leaks leading up to that. So I had to pay for them to "fix" what they had broken. I stopped going there for a while after this, but then they had a special for free loaner cars, and I took it back for another "repair". They lie, lie, lie and will cheat you! I don't know how they stay in business being so shady, so I'm going to chalk it up to them only ripping off a certain demographic, and being honest with others. I've owned too many vehicles not to know when b.s. is happening. If you're black, especially a woman with a euro car, don't take it here ever! Edited since I cannot respond to their reply: You lied, never provided the pictures of my leaking struts (which my new mechanic could not find - the only issue was the control arms, that you claimed you fixed last year - NOT THE STRUTS OR THE BRAKES), and the quote for these supposed repairs no longer exists--leaving me with no proof. Your actions are completely dishonest, and I do not trust this business under any circumstances. I strongly warn anyone considering using your services: you run a serious risk of being misled, overcharged, and cheated. My experience with you was infuriating and unacceptable. Brought a high quality, new in-box, fully adjustable $1,200 suspension to them, they charged me $840 for installation and $580 for additional labor totaling $1,420. Dropped it off for a day and a half, they sent me home with no damping, a loose sway bar end link on the front right strut, and improper alignment. They also didn't lubricate the front pillowball bearings, which are annoyingly noisy; and then proceeded to tell me the noise is normal. I took it back for adjustment, and to fix the damping and alignment; after 3 hours of work they sent me home with loose bolts all over the car. What's even worse is this was their general manager that worked on the car and destroyed it (a great look for their company). The car became considerably unsafe to drive after a period of time, and was producing violent noises from the rear of the vehicle. I called them back and chewed them out, as deserved after you damage my property, and at this point wanted a refund, which they refused, as expected. No respect for the customers time, money, or property. Respect is earned, not given, which mechanics don't seem to understand. Thankfully I have a new mechanic that is open, honest and thorough. I fixed the car with the new mechanic who identified the loose bolts on the front tie rod and the rear shock housing. The car drives great now. E1 is a trash mechanic shop that likes to argue with the customer rather than take accountability for their garbage work, as proven by their response below. I took my Audi TTS in for an APR intercooler, downpipe, dogbone, and pendulum install. Lowered the car with H&R sport springs, and installed APR's stage 2 software. They installed all the parts and did an alignment all in 24 hours. I even got a loaner to drive around while the work was being performed. Car is now fast, firm, and no more jerky shifts in sport mode. I also had some wheel fitment issues and asked if they could help me out. They had a set of HRE wheels in house that they thought could test fit, so we tested and I bought them at a great price. Great service! Great communication! Great price! read more

I had just bought my 2013 S6 and wanted a local dealer to tune it. I called around to 3 APR dealers in Houston before deciding to go with Aadel at Elite. Aadel went into depth about his experiences with the APR Stg 1 tune and even took me for a ride in his car (at the time, a 2016 S7). I decided to have him put the APR Stg 1 tune on my car, which is a night and day difference! I could not be happier with the performance gains. I also had a 2016 taillight and rear bumper conversion done. Aadel helped with programming the taillight functionality and other mods via VCDS. As I have a hectic schedule, he offered to work on the car after business hour in the comforts of his home garage. I cannot think of any other tuner who would invite you to his home to tune your car, because it's closer to your home and he's booked at the shop. Elite Custom's shop is very well maintained, and has top of the line equipment. I have powder coated wheels, and the fact they have a touchless tire mounting machine is very important to me. I have been going to E1 Motorsports for upgrades and maintenance on my MK7 Golf R and these guys never disappoint. They are honest and efficient, and obviously passionate about their work. Some shops tend to seem 'too busy' to explain things or just carry a small conversation with clients. This is not the case with E1. They are extremely knowledgeable and do great work. Their shop is organized and clean. Typically you wouldn't judge these types of businesses by their bathrooms, but it is impeccably clean. As an engineer I'm typically pretty critical on quality and customer service. As a new owner of a mk7 GTI I was quick to look at tuning. I came across APR and I quickly found 2 shops. European Legacy and Elite Custom Performance. I requested a quote from both shops long story short I was none to pleased with how I was treated at European Legacy. However I quickly received a response from Aadel. I was blown away by the attention to detail of what I was purchasing. Whether a green horn to the car world or a bloodborn Volkswagen gear head, there was enough info to understand exactly what I was purchasing. Best of all the price was fair. After discussing with Aadel on the tune we came to an agreement on a schedule.
