This is my second time coming to this shop. The first time I was very thankful for the honest response I received. I originally took my Porsche Panamera to the dealership - Porsche River Oaks for an oil change. They charged me $600+ , which is double what I paid last year for the same service. I only came for an oil change and afterwards a light came on:( Porsche River Oaks did a diagnostic and hit me with an estimate of 8k for this and that. I took it to Switch Garage and instead of hitting me with a ridiculous estimate, they told me something was loose which they adjusted and the light cleared. They said drive it a few days and if the light came back on, bring it back for a diagnostic. As a woman I dread going to repair shops and it felt great to NOT be taken advantage of. They have earned my trust, business and referrals!!! My oil change is 1/2 the price the dealership is charging and completely worth it for peace of mind! Also, 1 yr later and that light never came back on. read more

I'd heard good things about Swiss Garage, and when my Audi started making some concerning noises on Houston's bumpy roads, I arranged a time to bring my car by for a check-up. I could not say better things about Mike and his team. His description of the situations and solutions were thorough and provided all of the pieces I needed to know. They got the parts they needed for the repair immediately, and turned around the car same day. My ride now is so smooth, I feel like I rolled off the dealership floor a second time! From some Googling, the price I paid for the labor/intensive repairs was definitely fair. Terribly disappointing very suspect competence Dropped off my Macan to check for an oil leak and get a regular oil change. At the end of the day they called to tell me there is a serious oil leak but the didn't have the time to find the source and that I'd need to bring the vehicle back in a week or so to have it further evaluated. Disappointing since I had an appointment and could have taken it somewhere else, but what was most concerning is that they went ahead and did the oil change when they knew there was a leak. I asked what their logic was for doing the oil change when they knew there was an oil leak, and they said "well it needed the oil change". Maybe, but it needs the leak fixed too, as the stain in my garage can attest. At a minimum, this should have at least resulted in a phone call to verify path forward before proceeding on half the work, rather than just handing me a $250 bill. Would give a 10 star review if possible! My 2018 Mercedes Benz GLE 350 GLE needed some expensive repairs that were found during its annual service at the MB dealership. I went to Mike at Swiss Garage for a second opinion and for a cost estimate if the repairs were needed. Michael and his team looked over the car and agreed that the repairs were in fact needed and he provided a cost estimate which was quite a bit lower than at the dealership. The repairs were done quickly, he was able to get the same parts that would have been used at the dealership and he was great at communicating throughout the entire process. This is an excellent garage for your car. I found them to be very honest, reasonable, and knowledgeable . I will be using Mike and his team for my cars moving forward. read more

This is the best repair shop in Houston especially "for out of factory warranted foreign and domestic cars" I have been using them for years, and I have several friends using them as well. Honest , fair and trustworthy a family ow ed and operated father and son shop always very helpful explaining the issue and cost. if you are tired of being taken Advantage of ... speaking of Advantage BMW - I had a fuel valve get stuck on a 2014 BMW X3 and had the car towed to the dealership Advantage BMW do estimate, came back with over a $13000 dollars estimate, ( see photo ) which did not make sense to me. I called Mike, the owner of Swiss Garage, he took time to explain cost and suggested the work. I even sent him the estimate from BMW, next day car was ready bill was about $1500, he left the car up on the lift for me so when I picked up the car we went item by item on the BMW list and he showed me why each item and why it was not needed . I'm going with four stars. After seeing the lousy Yelp reviews for the service departments of the Houston area Jaguar dealerships, I found Swiss Garage. Lots of positive feedback here. I took my recently purchased 2006 Jaguar XKR for an oil change, battery check (car and fob), and a repair of the parking brake, which is not working and gives a warning light on the dash. I got there early and they turned around the car the same day. Everything seems fine, the car drives great. My only issue is the problem with the mechanical parking brake. I was told that they resolved it by adjusting the cable. And when I got there the brake was working and the warning light was off. I drove back to work and parked. The brake felt tight. Two hours later, I came out and the handle felt loose, like before, and the warning light was on again. The brake is not engaged and the car drives fine. Maybe the people at Swiss tried to save me money by doing a cable adjustment instead of a replacement. Fair enough, it was worth a try. And the warning light, along with the chime, is an annoyance but still my Jag zooms smoothly along. And the price, including two new batteries, was right even though I was charged for the parking brake repair that didn't solve the problem. I liked the demeanor of the crew so I'll be back to Swiss for future service. It's much more convenient than other alternatives. read more

I took my Porsche Cayenne last Friday, August 27, 2021, for an oil change. When I went to pick it up later that afternoon my I got a signal that my front left headlight was out. Mind you, I did not have that warning when I dropped it off to them. I just needed an oil change. I got him annoyed because of the signal warning repeatedly turning on. Then, the next day when I woke up, I noticed a big oil spill. The oil was coming out of my car!! I called them to notify them that my car was leaking and that I would be taking it back to them and that also I had a headlight signal that was not there before. So yesterday, September 4, 2021 I finally had the chance to take my car to them. They fixed my oil leak but left with with a signal for not only it being overfilled but that the headlight was still out. I repeatedly told George that I didn't have that issue before taking it to them but he insisted that it wasn't their problem. Now I have 2 signal warning popping up on my dashboard. I paid for it, and intended on asking a few questions about the results listed on the printout, but couldn't because this other guy sitting behind the desk kept interrupting with a phone call on hold. I decided to not ask anything because of his rudeness, and just go back and ask the next day since I was going to be their anyway. I walked in and started to speak with Joe and asked a legitimate question, and before Joe could say a word, this same guy from the day before, blurted out a response, while looking down at whatever he was doing, as if I was bothering them, after the day before I paid them $78. Maybe this guy just doesn't have a personality, but he shouldn't be in that position if that's the case. read more

I'm so glad I went to Swiss Garage! I live nearby and have seen Swiss Garage for decades. I knew of their excellent reputation. I recently needed repairs on my Mercedes. The front end chrome stripping came off. A common repair because the front end is so low, the car tends to bottom out on steep driveways, ripping off the stripping. I went to Mercedes Benz - Greenway for a repair. Their first quote to repair was about $280. Then I got an email that after further review, this problem cannot be repaired. They said they would need to replace the front bumper for a whopping $4,000+. Outrageous! Then I went to Swiss Garage to see if they could fix it. They sure could! Swiss Garage got the parts from Mercedes in 1 day and repaired the car in less than an hour for under $300. This is my new body shop! Everyone was very professional. Really appreciate this business being open during the Covid-19 madness! I had a dead battery covered under warranty and did NOT want to go to Firestone again. When I called, Nick asked me for my battery type to confirm stock and also told me straight-up about the $40 labor fee. Even when I came in, he was very honest about their labor fee and suggested that I can go back to Firestone if I wanted to waive that fee. I dropped my car off at the end of the day and he called me next morning at 10 AM to let me know it was ready to pick-up. After seeing their stellar Yelp reviews, I gave them a call to bring in my ever in the shop Range Rover. I got an excellent deal on the annual service, with no pushy upsales. Joe was honest and upfront with me about brake work that would be needed in the future, but definitely not needed right now, as my brakes had life left in them. Next mission was the over 20 codes that my vehicle had been throwing (and I had neglected for too long)! I have a 2011 528i... few weeks ago car started shaking and got the dreaded Drivetrain Malfunction. Thought that was the end of the car, but it only need an ignition coil. Finding an honest mechanic is one of life's greatest struggles. My family had a great guy that we went to for years but he retired..and thus began the struggle all over again. My friend recommended this place to me and yay, life has balanced out again! These guys are quick, efficient, and most importantly--honest. My engine light came on while on the highway and then my car started shaking violently every time I braked. I've had my fair share of ghetto cars and shaking steering wheels, but this was something that I never experienced before. Like the entire car was shaking and I was for sure thinking that my car was going to explode; twas scary. My fiance and I discussed that if it cost more than $500 to repair, then we would just start looking to buy a new car since Ive gotten so many repairs done on this car that it was just starting to add up. I went home and started looking for new cars online thinking that that was the best option. Got to Swiss Garage right when it opened the next day, got a call 2 hrs later about 4 cylinders and cables broken causing my engine to misfire, got a quote of about $290, and then they were done by 3:30pm! I asked the guy to show me the repairs they did (not that I would really know whether they did it right) but the new cables looked good! Its been a month later now and my car is still running smooth and have had no problems (other places ive been to..the dreaded engine light usually turns on by now). Will be coming here until they retire!! Hopefully they never do! P.S. They have a bunch of porsches, mercedes, bmws parked outside their garage and when I drove in with my 99 honda crv, I was sure I was gonna get judged hard. But they were super friendly and when I picked up my car later, one of the workers told me he also has a honda and loves it and told me to take good care of it cause hondas can last forever. They are also very honest about the repairs needed and don't try to up-sale. An example of this was my most recent visit. I smashed my side view mirror and was terrified that the entire component, with electric, would need to be replaced on our Audi. I drove the car over, without an appointment, and they took a look at it immediately. They gave me the best and worse case scenarios. I left the car with them and within the next two hours they let me know that they could salvage all the electrical and just replace the mirror! I was relieved that the repair would be a fraction of what I was anticipating. The team completed the work perfectly and by the date they promised. I have gone here a handful of time since moving to Houston, the prices are fair, transparent, and the customer service is always friendly and reliable. It cost less than the dealership but a little more than your regular shop. They are busy but that's what is expected with good mechanics. Great customer service. Had a couple of issues with my car. I was hearing and feeling a bad knocking sound under my car in middle of driver seat and passenger side. I didn't want to take any chances so I went with the Swiss Garage mechanic's recommendation to replace the drive shaft. The work was done to excellent standards. Cost was $1400 to fix and had no issues since then. I also had a P0420 code come up on my check engine light and the diagnosis was that I had to replace my catalytic converter. I asked if there were any other options and the answer was "no" and that he recommended the replacement. He turned off my check engine light and said to come back if it turns on. That job would have cost an estimated $1600. So I went to another mechanic for a second opinion when my check engine light came on with the same code. He said often the catalytic converter is a part rarely replaced so he started off by changing my O2 sensors and the code hasn't come up at all in the last few months. Plus, I passed a recent smog test :) My point is that I wish I was told other options about addressing the P0420 code. After that experience, I did some research on the code myself. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that the Swiss Garage mechanic did his best to diagnose my car. I didn't feel forced that I had to get my catalytic converter replaced, but if I chose to have the job done, that would have been an unnecessary cost for me. read more
