Let me tell you about Joe. It was another day navigating the trenches of Houston traffic when a car decided their lane wasn't enough and they wanted mine too. I swerved, hit the curb, and suddenly my car wasn't driving straight. The first shop quoted me almost $3,000. After that minor financial heart attack, I realized my insurance company was basically going to be no help unless I wanted to pay a deductible AND risk my rates going up. Insurance is complete bullshit. So I started calling around to see if I could find a better option. Enter Joe at Master Car Care. I sent him the quote and right away he started going through what actually needed to be fixed and what didn't. He got the damage repaired for way less money and even went out of his way to find someone who could fix my scratched-up rim so my car looked like it did before. But the biggest thing was Joe actually cared. He cared that my car looked good, that it drove right and that I was happy with it. I recently purchased a vintage 2007 BMW hardtop convertible as a replacement for my 1971 Pontiac. I'm too old for the Pontic now and wanted a fun car with updated with airbags and safety equipment not available in 1971. My second time at Master Care Care. Was very pleased with first visit and decided to return for both routine maintenance and to fix a problem with the A/C vent system. Glad I let them do the A/C. The evaporator assembly had to be replaced, the controls to change air flow in the vehicle had stopped working, crap plastic. This required the whole dash/console and front doors be removed. What a pain and I don't recommend searching the videos online, it's like looking at shoulder replacement surgery! Happy to share that throughout all this, I was kept informed by my service manager; G. Flores and team, cost/pricing was up front. I was allowed to decide what service items to be performed without pressure and was given a 3 year guarantee for repair work. I dropped my vehicle off here for brake work and was given a different estimate over the phone than what I received when I requested an itemized estimate. When I tried to say anything, such as requesting more information on parts being used, etc., the individual working with me would interrupt and speak over me. Over the phone he said, "WOW, your brakes really need work." Well, yes, no kidding. I wouldn't be here otherwise. When I thanked him for his time and advised I would be taking my vehicle elsewhere, he was condescending, telling me that this was a standard market cost for this type of work.
