Victor did my front brakes and rotors in 2021. My new mechanic telling me I need brakes. I live 4 miles from work so wondering why I need brakes already (July 2024) He said they weren't done properly. Something about a shim breaking loose and rusting from the inside out. I can see the rust through my wheel... Shortly after brake job, Victor replaced my power steering pump. A few days later, smoke coming from my hood so took it back. Victor wasn't there but his brother was. Immediately filled the power steering reservoir. When I came back when Victor was there later that day, he said he forgot to put a washer on - AND charged me $20 bucks for putting the washer on!!! Now I'm having to replace the rack and pinion and tie rod to the tune of $1500, including more fluid and an alignment. When you drive a car with no power steering fluid, it'll crack the rack and pinion. Thanks Victor!!! (sarcasm) Also, you should know they do not warranty their work. Parts or labor. read more

They own and operate R Inspections across the street from their shop on N. Main street 77009. I took my truck in to get an inspection and mention I needed an oil change. The shop wasn't set up for an oil change like the other quick oil change places are...but the mechanic said he could do it. Well it definitely wasn't a Jiffy Lube or Kwik Kar Lube and Tube (I've been going to them for 8 yrs) by any means. I had to ask the mechanic to check my fluids under the hood (this is always standard practice at the other places) the mechanic seemed surprised by the question. He said I was low on anti freeze and added some water instead because he didn't have the kind my truck takes. Then he charged me $50 dollars.....WHAT???? Next time I'll go back to the professionals for an oil change where I know they'll perform all the fluid checks and charge me a FAIR price. I felt RIPPED OFF and called the guy when I got home....I've lived in the neighborhood for 18 years and was told they're good shop....well that wasn't my experience. read more
