Had a big branch get caught under my car and wasn't able to remove it on our own without professional help. Actually couldn't really drive it. Called the guys at our most trusted repair shop and they sent their two kids to personally stop by to pick up our vehicle - talk about service! While at the shop and on the lift, had them do my brakes and do the 100K service and was given a very fair quote and was taken cared of like family by this family owned shop. Its always a fun notice that your vehicle renewal is due! Thankfully TNY's helps make at least the vehicle inspection part a little less painful. I called Ngia to ask for a quote to replace my thermal protection sensor. Instead of a quote he recommended a quick and easy way to try and fix the issue and it worked like a charm. Could have easily lied and told me to bring it in like many mechanics probably would have done, but kept it real and pointed me in the right direction to fix it myself. Worst experience from a shop. Unprofessional Owner and left me with a blown engine, damage power steering pump gear that was installed wrong and possibly a damage steering box. Brought in for a power steering fix and after almost 2 months with the runaround by "Mr Tran" and without fixing the main issue, picked up my vehicle with heavy rod knock and out a $400 deposit. When I dropped it off, he was so confident it was the power steering pump that he ordered a new pump without getting my approval. He replaced the pump twice which still didn't fix the issue and proceeded to "flush" the fluid 3 times but says he wouldn't charge me for the 3rd attempt. Not sure how he flushes the power steering system but from the fact that the engine is now knocking, it leads me to believe him and his technicians were probably revving the engine in attempt to create pressure in the power steering system where they installed the power steering gear on the pump incorrectly which caused the gear not to engage in the block. This likely cause tension on the crank and spun a rod bearing. This may be the reason why it took so long and he was hiding the fact that my engine was blown. Not once did he provide me any paper work of the work he was doing that when I got fed up with his excuses, I went to pick up the vehicle and he tried to charge me for every single labor, part, cleaning he could totaling for about $980. He forgot I already paid $400 so he went back to his laptop to calculate his charges again and came back with what he called a "Discount" at around $800. Not sure how it made any sense that $980 - $400 = $800. It was obvious he tried to squeeze every penny out of a job he couldn't even complete. Unfortunately without any evidence of an invoice he never provided, its his word vs mine at this point. Do not trust this this shop as he will only bring out his little laptop to show you why it costs what it costs and tell you vague words like "special chemical" to justify his price and reason for why its taking longer than expected. read more

The Only Mechanic Shop I trust besides Skeeters (The Car Doctor) & and the Dealership!!! Mr. Tran and his sons are the most honest Master Technicians in the West-Houston area! Most of our family members go there for service as well. It's amazing the quality of work his shop puts out, from using OEM parts to having super affordable diagnostic prices, and even knowing how to work on European vehicles flawlessly without any mishaps! You really become a part of his family when you have service there! I heard they are planning to rebuild and expand the shop in the coming years, i think once the sons take over. MAN OH MAN WHERE DO I START! Let me see....As soon as we pulled into to the shop, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from the owner Thanh. He then proceed to show us where the waiting room is located; with the hot burning sun, you can't resist a cold room with a fan & two A/C!! After we got settled in the room, he told us what need to be fixed and started on the job right away. It was a total of 4 hours but in those 4 hours, Thanh checked up on us to see if we were doing fine and he even gave us snacks (bless his soul). As soon as we got there we were immediately helped and multiple of the staff cane out to help find the problem. I can't remember the son's name, but he called us out into the shop where he had lifted the car and physically showed us where the problem was. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained it to us, answering all our questions (motor mounts we're broken). He wrote us up a quote and we will be bringing the car in next week! One of the best Yelp finds, thank God because I am new to Texas and did not have too many resources for referrals for car maintenance/repairs. My first visit I needed an oil change and a quote on repairs that needed to be done. They inspected my car and showed me exactly what needed to be replaced, no one has ever done this and I appreciated it. I asked them to list the repairs for me, which they did and they labeled the issues "high priority", "med priority" and "low". The oil change did take a little longer then usual but it wasn't too awful. I also had my car inspected, I was there for about 2 hours and I was the first customer there they day. My second visit I dropped off the car to get all the high priority items repaired. What I like the most about this spot is the open communication. They had called me to confirm a part they ordered that was more then what they quoted me, this part was $18 more then the og price but this is an example of how they do business.
