Tran saved my dress! I knew Tran was the go-to person with all the detailed questions she asked even before she agreed to take me on as a customer. I was elated when she agreed to help me on such short notice! She let out my dress and added a corset. The corset was beautiful, especially with the square knots. She spent an entire hour with my sister teaching her to how tie the corset perfectly for the big day. She put in nice breast cups so that I didn't have to wear a bra. She made a rhinestone sash because I needed some bling. She also made a bolero for me to cover up for the church ceremony. And the 5-point bustle for the reception was gorgeous. Each appointment was about an hour or so. But I even stayed for two hours once or twice - and I did not mind one bit! I knew Tran had an eye for detail, that she was a perfectionist. Tran is a designer by trade so she has an eye for what looks good too. Oh and on top of that, Tran is so personable and kind. She is easy to talk to and makes you feel totally comfortable. So in the end, Tran altered my fit-and-flare dress to an exquisite fit on my body, to give me an hourglass figure that I don't even have! I'm truly grateful for her expertise and skills. Because of her, I fell in love with my dress and truly felt beautiful in it. read more

Tran is amazing, she is kind and attentive and a master of design. I ordered my wedding dress on line and when I received it I was disappointed as it didn't fit my figure properly.I tried to return it and quickly found out the restocking fee would cost half of what I paid for the dress. I was stressed to the max! Then I found Designer Touch Group and was quickly reassured that this was still the right dress for me. Tran worked with me several Saturday mornings for two months and it was exciting to see the progress each week. By my last fitting I was in love with my dress and what it became. It was perfect for my destination wedding and I couldn't have been happier. Tran is a real life saver and she goes above and beyond to make sure you are a happy bride! read more

Tran is absolutely wonderful. It's such a blessing to have met her. She is so kin-, so involved with her craft that you feel at ease during the alterations. I have never met a lady so meticulous to making sure everything is thought out in full detail. She really cares for the dress as much as you do! When spending so much time to find a perfect wedding dress, it is really important that the person crafting your dress to your body is great at what she does, and Tran goes beyond that. read more

Amazing!!! I called Tran A WEEK before my wedding to alter my gown and she did an exceptional job. I salute to her willingness to help and she made sure that I will be comfortable with my dress. She asked me to walk so many times back and forth just to make sure that I will be set for the day. Coming to her to have my dress altered was the best decision I have made. Thank u so much Tran and Thank u for our Marriage Creed. Xoxo read more

Tran is wonderful!! She altered my wedding dress for me and did an amazing job. I had a very full ball gown with many layers of ruffles on the skirt and she shortened my dress, taking the time to make sure it didn't impact the look of the dress. With all the layers, this really wasn't an easy task. She added ruffles to the bottom to keep the integrity of the dress and you couldn't even tell it had been shortened. Tran also added horsehair to the petticoat (something we hadn't even thought of), which made it easier for me to walk. Also, my dress had a very long train and she bustled it perfectly. She even showed my mom how to bustle it (and lace me in) about 5 times to make sure she was totally clear and was very patient explaining it. Tran was so helpful and kind and really was a perfectionist. After meeting with her and dropping off my dress, I felt 100% sure she would do an excellent job and she did! My dress was absolutely perfect for my wedding day and I can't say enough good things about Tran and her work. Thank you, Tran!! :-) read more

She is very talented at looking at the dress and seeing what's wrong with it. She recommends things to do to the dress to make it fit you like a glove. I took a dress to her about 5 weeks prior to my wedding, and it was completely done 2 days before the wedding. She is really sweet and nice. Her prices are on the higher side for altering a dress but I'm sure it's because of the location of her store. It cost me just over $600 to alter my dress (I initially went in just because I wanted to shorten the dress and get it to fit better, as it was too big. But on her recommendation, I ended up putting in a bunch of other stuff and also getting the sweetheart neckline which I hated in the end). On my first fitting, she recommended that I go buy a bustier at a store down the street. I don't know if she gets commission or not, but I purchased a pretty expensive bustier from that store and was told that she sends a lot of customers to that store. She made the dress so low in the end, that I could not wear the bustier that I purchased, which was a waste of money. She kept pushing me to get a sweetheart neckline, which I finally agreed to towards the end. But when she put in the sweetheart neckline, it made my dress super low, where I was almost popping out and I definitely couldn't wear the bustier underneath because the bustier would be showing way more than the dress. Also she forgot that I wanted detachable padding in the chest because she sowed it directly to the dress. Overall, the dress came out nicely and fit well, except for my sweetheart neckline which I wished I had never gotten and it cost over $100 just for the sweetheart neckline. Also she schedules a lot of fittings, which I guess is good, but she seems forgetful sometimes because she kept going over the same things every fitting. read more

Designer Touch Group - Thank you Tran~! - Bridal Near Me

This is my first yelp review. I used to just read others reviews, but I feel I have obligation to share my experience this time for those brides-to-be less worrisome. My fiance and I decided to have last minute pre-wedding photo shooting. From the day I received my gown to photo shooting day, I only have about 2 weeks to alter my dress. I called many alteration places, no one was willing to take my case. When I almost gave up, Tran returned my message (and it was late night). Understanding my frustration and urgent situation, she squeezed time for me and arranged next day appointment. During the fitting process, she listened to my concerns and cared every little details, then giving good suggestions. She reshaped the bust to fit my body type, strengthened top part of my princess-cut gown so it wouldn't slide down and stood well. She also took off the belt originally on the gown which I could match better sash later. Tran really did an excellent job. Even after all alteration work done, she directed me where to buy the match sash and brought my gown to press for me. I didn't need to worry next steps. She was so considerate just like family tare care of you. She was amazing. I was very lucky to find her. If you are desperate about your gown, Tran is your best choice! read more

Tran is absolutely amazing! My mermaid fit wedding dress was a whole size too small without much extra fabric and she made it fit perfectly! She also did a complicated bustle that worked for the long train, and taught two bridesmaids how to correctly tie the corset. She's very knowledgable and thorough and I couldn't have been happier with my choice to have her alter my wedding dress! read more

Saved my wedding dress for sure! My dress was a disaster too large, not my design, not fitted, poor quality fabric. I was going to cry and I didnt know what to do. Tran was so nice helpful and accommodating. She took great care and time to make sure the dress fit perfectly and the design was beautiful She totally saved my dress and wedding. If you have a wedding dress that needs 911 care go to her! She been doing it for years and it shows she knows what she is doing. I called her the plastic surgeon on wedding dresses. I will go back to her for any big event dresses that need to be tailored. She also makes custom wedding dresses too! And she does a excellent job with them to your specifications. read more

Tran really made my Indian outfits and blouses fit perfectly! I will send anyone there who wants a truly perfect fit.

Tran is simply amazing and wonderful!!!! I got married this past October, and when I first got my dress in from a shop in San Francisco, I only had about a month in between when the dress came in, and our wedding date. I was a little bummed because when I first got it, I was not in love with the dress. I called Tran in advance, and asked if she was available given all of the work that would need to be done (4 bustels, taking up 7 layers from the bottom, taking it in on the sides, and changing the neckline) in the short time frame - she accepted without hesitation! When I arrived at her studio for the first time, she was so welcoming and warm, and I could tell immediately she had an exceptional creative eye! She ended up transforming my dress in just 3 weeks into something that I LOVED and worked with my so patiently along the way. She even added her own designer flare to the neckline with lace and pearls, something which completely transformed the look of the dress. Tran is such a kind, talented, and gracious woman, I plan to keep going to her exclusively from now on! I recommend anyone and everyone to her for their dress and wedding alterations! read more

I can not say enough about Tran. Not only is she the sweetest lady, but truly knows what she's doing when it comes to wedding gowns. I am probably the pickiest, most detailed person when it comes to my wedding gown. I want it to be PERFECT. I found Tran a few months ago and decided to meet with her because of all her positive reviews. We are in the beginning process of tailoring my dress. So far I can't believe the work she has done, just in the first fitting. I am so so excited to see the final product for my wedding in June! I will post my feedback about my final fitting once my dress is complete. I have total and complete confidence in Tran which has lowered my stress through this whole wedding process. Everything can go wrong at my wedding and ill be okay... but not having the perfect dress with the perfect fit...that's the scariest part. So glad I found Tran!!!!! read more

Oh gosh, I LOVE Tran!!!!!!! She has the sweetest spirit!!!!! She doesnt leave your dress completed until SHE is happy with it too! To me that is important because she doesnt treat each alteration like a job. Instead she treats each like a work of art (because what she is doing is art and creativity) I cant tell you how many times she would look at something and say that is wasnt as she liked so she would alter it. Each appointment we scheduled ( I think for a total of 6) was at least an hour. This was because she took her time and paid attention to each detail. My dress was about 3 sizes too big! She made it fit like a glove!!!!! I cannot thank her enough for her patience, beautiful artistry skills, and for her kind spirit!!!!!! I left each appointment happier than when I had arrived!!! and my Maggie Sottero Dress turned out PERFECT!!!!!!!!! Perfect Hand stitching- Appointments included in price- AMAZING!!!! read more
