I can not describe to you how amazing Tran was. Words will not do her justice. She was an absolute genius with her design considerations and had an attention to detail that was beyond anyone I have every been to. My dress was super delicate and had detailed lacing that she was able to match up exACTly. Not only did my dress turn out absolutely gorgeous, but Tran was dealing with a family emergency and you would NOT have been able to tell at all. She handled it with so much care and consideration towards US! I was like "girl! Your needs are much more important right now!" She was such a gracious and lovely woman. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to her. I was scared to get my dress altered because I didn't know what it entailed. But I promise you are in great hands with Tran!
Tran worked hard on getting my alterations done right and on time for my wedding. My dress is a mermaid style and is all lace. It fit like a glove and I couldn't be happier with her work. Would definitely recommend!
The professional photos came in and I'm so amazed at the before and after pictures, the alterations Designer touch made to my dress made it fit so perfectly! My last review I mentioned I had to purchase a size 6 dress based on my hips I was in between sizes 4 and 6, they transformed the dress to fit me so beautifully I still can't believe the before and after photos so happy with the work they put into making my special day perfect!
Tran helped bring my dream wedding dress to life. I'm not your typical bride. I wanted something simple but had so much trouble finding a dress I truly loved in the bridal shops. I fell in love with a blue and white flower pattern I found at a cheap dress shop. I didn't like the dress shape much but the pattern was exactly the what I was looking for. Tran was able to transform the dress into exactly what I wanted with romantic off the shoulder sleeves, A-linefit and sweet-elegant style. Her touches made the dress go from cheap to high fashion couture design! I absolutely love the dress and received so many compliments. Also the fact that Tran comes to you is a lifesaver. I have a crazy work schedule, one dog that is quite ill with cancer, and another dog with severe anxiety, making it so difficult to leave the house or have time to go for multiple fitting appointments. To top it off she is such a sweet, positive, and kind person. Thank you Tran! You are such a blessing and made my dream wedding dress a reality.
As promised, here is my updated review after the wedding. All I have to say is....AMAZING. My dress made me felt beautiful on my wedding day, I fit it like a glove and was comfortable in it ALL day. I was able to sit comfortably, danced and walked around to take so many pictures. I have never in my life felt so pretty in a dress or fit into something that was made just for me. I couldn't thank Tran enough, really. It wouldn't have been possible without her. Everyone complimented on how beautiful the dress was and how great the fit was. Tran also custom designed my crystal sash and bow for me and it was icing on the cake. It made the dress complete. I LOVED the custom bow that clipped on the back. She took her time to make sure the bow was perfect, not too big, not too small. There are not enough words to express my appreciation for the hours and hours of work Tran had put into my dress to make sure it was my dream dress. THANK YOU a MILLION, Tran...you are truly AMAZING. p.s. The dry cleaner next door can press the dress after alternations for a great price, and afterwards they can dry clean and box it as well. Tran referred them, and I am grateful for that.
I always read other people's Yelp reviews but I have never written any until now. My first Yelp review ever goes to the amazingly talented Tran. I ordered my wedding dress in Nov 2015 from a store called 2000 Dreams Bridal in Temple City (they have great prices, but do NOT go there to get your dress altered!). Because the dress had to be custom-hemmed from the company then mailed to the store, I didn't get to see the dress until end of April 2016. My wedding day was May 21st! I had my dress fitted and altered twice there over a period of two weeks. Long story short, they messed up my dress twice - the bust was too tight and pointy, the midsection too frumpy, and the lace hem too long. To them, the dress looked great and but to me, it looked like a disaster. I did not want them to fix it a third time because time was ticking and each alteration took another week to complete. They also didn't listen to my concerns and were extremely rude to me. It was time to find somewhere else to work a miracle. Then, panic sank in as the search began for another place that will fix my dress TWO WEEKS before my wedding. After calling many alterations places, Tran decided to squeeze me in on a Saturday morning for a consultation. She fitted me that day and got my measurements. I went back that Monday for a second fitting and after the third fitting on Thursday, I got to take my dress home! I can't believe that within 5 days of meeting her, she was able to fix my dress! No one else would ever take on this risky job! I was so glad and extremely grateful to have found her. Tran - THANK YOU for the work you have done. You are kind, respectful, and passionate about your career. I was so stressed, worried, angry, and sad about the chance of not being able to wear my dream wedding dress because of someone else's mistakes but you changed all of that and made my dream come true!
It's taken me a while to write this review only because it's hard to put into words what Tran did for me. I bought a dress at David's Bridal about 11 months before my wedding. I bought it two sizes smaller than I was, thinking I had plenty of time to lose weight. Well, 7 months came and went and the dress didn't fit. I tried the dress on again around February (wedding scheduled for July) and it didn't fit; it was loose in certain places, had no "poof" at the bottom, and looked like I was wearing a towel. I wondered "what was I thinking when I bought this dress?" I started researching a place for alterations, and fate (and Yelp) led me to Tran. Before meeting with her, I even considered purchasing a whole new dress because I was not happy with the one I had. Right after our first meeting my fears were settled. She is absolutely the sweetest person to work with with a keen eye on bridal gowns. What she altered: Changed the neckline to a sweetheart Added horsehair petticoat under skirt for dramatic poof Added boning (and lots of it!) to give me shape and lift Added pads and shaping to my bust so I didn't have to wear a bra Lifted the skirt so it was level with the floor Changed the back from zipper to sexy corset Steamed my dress Bonuses: Tran showed me how to sit in my dress, which was very helpful the day of Showed my bridesmaids how to properly tie my corset Told me how to store my dress until the big day so it didn't lose any shape I only had to wear spanx under my dress because Tran made it so perfect for me, and my boobs looked amazing! She really has a way of making your body look great. We started in March, and met almost weekly until the end of June, so it was definitely a lot of work for her. In the end, I am absolutely in love with my dress. I felt like a beautiful bride, and was happy to have my one of a kind gown. Trust her with your dress, Tran is definitely the master, and you will not be disappointed.
I was very nervous to take my dress to just any seamstress because of how expensive my dress was (based on my budget) and how much I truly loved it. It had beading, and ruffles and a super long train with delicate lace. So taking it to just any on was not an option. After doing some research I trusted some other yelp comments and went to see her. My dress was a very complicated dress to fit, but Tran was a total pleasure to work with. I want to make sure people understand that you get what you pay for, and tran does amazing work and is very organized when it comes to dress fittings. We had weekly appointments for 7 weeks before my wedding. Tran suggested to me a place to buy the perfect corset and listened to all my concerns and comments. We started on figuring out the puzzle of creating a bustle that otherwise would be impossible to walk in for the reception. She even spent a session teaching my bridesmaid how to bustle me up once it was done (yes it was very complicated). Then a few weeks in we decided that adding straps would be the most comfortable and visibly appealing option. She allowed me to bring in a rhinestone strand of my own for her to attach to the straps. I was nervous because she had to adjust the neckline and chest portion of my dress which had A LOT of beading. But, the result was gorgeous. I highly recommend trusting Tran with your beloved dress, I have no doubt it will be in great hands. I had to save my pennies to pay for the alterations but it was totally worth it! Thank you TRAN! Sorry it took me so long to show all these yelpers your amazing work on my gown!!
Came back for my final fitting and as always Tran was so amazingly sweet. She made me feel beautiful and confident in the bridesmaid dress. She added some additional boning for support and didn't charge me and arm and a leg for it. Tran, you rock!!! I'll be recommending you to all my friends and associates. You deserve it!
TRAN I LOVE YOU! Thank you for everything! This lady went above and beyond for my dream dress! I only had 1 fitting when I purchased my dress. I went to Tran we took me in on a short notice and worked with me on every single detail on my gown! She is seriously a miracle worker! She pointed out things I had not even noticed. She added so many details that were so elegant and classic I loved the way my gown turned out! Thank you for everything Tran I am so happy I found you and that you took me in on such a short notice! I would not have had it any other way! You lady are amazing! XOXO
We are so happy to have found Tran! She is incredibly talented and worked her magic to make by daughter's dress fit flawlessly. The dress had so much lace and appliqué which made it difficult to alter without damaging the look. However, Tran was so detailed and precise and made the dress look and fit better than we had imagined. Tran is amazing, sweet and wonderful to work with. She also came to our house for the fittings which made things so much easier for us. Thank you Tran for helping my daughter feel incredible in her dream dress!
Tran saved me...and my dress! She answered my call right away after finding her on yelp. Other seamstresses took days to return a call. Her services were top notch and she was VERY accommodating to my schedule and rushing my alterations without compromising the integrity of her work. I needed a lot of fixing on my gown to salvage what another seamstress had done (or not completed) and only had 2 weeks to complete the work. You were a god send Tran! Thank you so much!
Tran came with excellent Yelp reviews. Everything she does is efficient and lovely. From text message reminders about the appointments to encouraging to bring in examples of what you wanted changed on the wedding dress, she is as professional as they come. Upon our initial meeting, she was on time and listened to my ideas. And because she has been in this niche for more than 20 years, she would input her experienced comments making me see if the changes I wanted could be done as I wanted or in a different way, the convenience for me and the fees. This is a paperless company and I was glad she even cares about these details. I brought my gown and showed pictures and she created a budget on the first day. The agreement is made so nothing is a surprise at the end. We also scheduled 3 fittings in our calendars. When my scheduled changed, she was flexible in accommodating dates. She doesn't measure you and send you on your way before you go back to receive the dress. Tran was so detailed (to the point where extra tailoring sessions were added) that I felt better about the dress each time I saw it. And let me say I went to her about a month and a half before the wedding day. Very fast and elegant work. The dress was cut from both sides of the waist several inches, cups were added, a waist sash sew in a cascade back hidden behind the closing buttons, material at the ends of the dress added so the dress would flow, the length modified on all sides and a hidden bustle incorporated. she did all these modifications for a very reasonable price. Once again, Tran is all about details. She recommended a length of the dress based on the shoes I would wear, gave jewelry recommendations that would suit my dress, gave so much information on why she recommended certain alterations not be done and how to better the proposed ones that you know she truly cares about how her work is presented. She even recommended a better fabric for the sash I originally wanted and that made all the difference. The completed dress received so many compliments and compared to the original, the finished product looked like it was made to suit my body. 5 stars does not do it for Tran. I felt like a princess in her super comfortable and beautiful creation.

Tran is incredible! There aren't enough words to express how much I appreciate her and her talent. A week before my wedding I decided I hated my dress. I didn't have any alterations done because I was told I didn't need any. The closer the wedding got the more unsettled I became with this decision. Tran was recommended to me by a friend, I called her and gave some specific information to her about my dress and she knew the exact problem. Luckily, she had some room in her schedule to squeeze me in. She absolutely transomed my dress into something that I loved. All by reshaping the bust to fit my body type. She is very detailed and catches every little thing to make the dress fit to your body perfectly. Going to Tran was the best decision made for the wedding. I highly recommend her! read more

When I first met Tran, I was a stressed and anxious bride. Her patience, kindness, and attention to detail made me relax and enjoy the fitting process. I bought my dress at David's Bridal 6 months before the wedding and wanted an amazing bridal stylist to alter the dress to my shape and height. Tran took the time to see me in the dress, make her suggestions, and then discussed her recommendations. She explained each step and the cost & work associated with each modification. I was a bit apprehensive about the changes needed, though I should not have worried, as she is a master at making your wedding dress fit perfectly. We reserved all necessary appointments ahead of time and she was very flexible with my crazy work schedule. At each appointment, I would try on the dress, and discuss if there was something I didn't like or was uncomfortable. She spent the time to make everything fit beautifully. I consider myself lucky to have Tran alter my dress. (I will post an updated review with pictures of the dress after the wedding.) read more

I came to Tran with a sample dress I had purchased on sale from Glamour Closet. The dress fit pretty well and I thought just a hem and a bustle would make it a great wedding dress for me. What she did with that dress was unbelievable! Her attention to detail and vast knowledge of material, style, and body type made my wedding gown fit LIKE A GLOVE! I thought my dress was beautiful before, but her careful insight into fit, bustle options, and the strapless sweetheart neckline turned my dream wedding gown into one that surpassed my dreams. I actually let go of my self critical nature and allowed myself to feel stunning- which was a priceless gift. No matter how much I laughed, cried, or danced the dress stayed in place and I never had to give it a second thought (which is such a blessing on a day with a million details and lots of nerves!) I honestly did not want to take it off! I am so grateful that my mom found this place! We were always greeted with smile and nice conversation. Tran offered styling advice and wedding day tips. She let my mom and I cry while my dad fumbled around trying to take pics with my iPhone. Tran is a genuine and caring individual and she creates a personalized and private experience. She even played show tunes for me when I came in after we discussed my theater background and how much I loved them! Worth every penny! One of the best decisions I made for my wedding day- after, of course, my groom! read more

Tran is a life saver. I had an unconventional wedding dress--simple but extremely delicate. She made it look like it was made for me. Even the bustle was a challenge, but she nailed it. She was so sweet throughout the entire process. She even walked me down a few stores to the dry cleaners when I came to pick up my dress so I could get it pressed. Anyone she recommends I trust. She told me she would "keep an eye" on it, which took off a little wedding stress, and even picked it up for me when it was ready. Alteration skills aside, I really resect how this woman does business. There is a reason she has five star reviews on Yelp. She works hard to maintain this high standard. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone. read more

So, so happy with how my wedding dress turned out. I bought my dress as a sample and there were more alterations necessary than I thought, and I didn't leave much time. While the alterations were certainly not cheap, considering the quality of the work she did it was absolutely worth it. read more

Tran is a miracle worker! My wedding dress was rather difficult and very time consuming and she made it absolutely perfect. I am fairly petite so my dress needed a lot of alterations and of course the place where I bought it did not tell me how difficult the alterations would be for that particular dress-- I had cascading ruffles which meant having to take every ruffle in. Thankfully, Tran worked with me and made it look and fit exactly how it was supposed to. She even customized the bustle to make it work. I also had a bridesmaid dress altered by her and she did a great job on it as well. I highly highly recommend Tran, she is the sweetest lady! Just a heads up, she takes her time and likes to err on the side of more appointments than less so make sure you give her an appropriate amount of time. She does not charge per appointment, only per alteration made! read more
