When I picked up my jacket 2 weeks later, one of the bottom pockets now has stress marks that line up perfectly with some new stitching they added, and there are now smalls holes in the leather patch that also line up perfectly. The other pocket has no issues, so I presume some error occurred. I returned (waited a bit because they were busy trying to find a customers clothes and kept going back and forth with them) and when I questioned this - especially the patch holes, they stated that they must've already been there and i didnt notice. They said they did not touch it, and it's simply a coincidence that they line up and are spaced perfectly with the stress marks. They also mentioned the stress marks are from pressing, whatever that means. But the other pocket had no such marks. It became a he said she said game and I simply decided I will not be coming back, since they repeatedly told me they could do nothing for me. They also hemmed and let out some Momotaro Denim for me. This was mostly fine except the stitching was also a bit sloppy. They somehow stitched over a belt loop which was strange (so a belt wouldnt fit anymore), and there was a large loose thread on the inside. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but you can look at the pics and decide for yourself. I gave two stars since the fits are fine and the clothes are perfectly usable. But the work seems rushed and the customer service lacking. If I'm paying half in the cash value of brand new articles of clothing in tailoring services, I expect better service and clothes returned in the same condition or better than when I dropped them off.

I brought in several pairs of pants to be hemmed, and the lengths were not done correctly. When I brought them back, I was told the mistake may have happened because of how I marked them, so I gave the shop an opportunity to fix the work. For the second attempt, they marked the pants themselves, but the hems were now inconsistent. All of the pants were supposed to be the same length, and they were not. At this point, I am not comfortable returning for a third attempt. I really wanted to support this local business, but based on the quality and consistency of the work I received, I will not be returning. I am now paying another alterations shop to correct the work I already paid to have done.

But I think that is pretty standard practice, so I wasn't too mad. This place is kind of hard to find because it is so small. My navigation was telling me that I had arrived and I wasn't seeing it until I saw the small sign next to the dentist office. It was unclear on whether or not we could park in the small lot between this place and the apartment buildings, so to play it safe if I parked across the street by the supermarket, which I really enjoyed visiting after. We don't have a lot of Mexican supermarkets in South OC where I live, so it was fun to pick up some things from there and made the drive out more worth it as well. Turnover time was great as well. I can't comment on more difficult or involved jobs because I didn't use them for that, but I highly recommend coming here for hems.

For those males who like to be business fashionable during work, my entire story is below. Hopefully it helps with making your decision whether to call Nana or not. I gave her a call on a Sunday and set an appointment for a pants hem and shirt altercation. I have body measurements that require very custom measurements. In order to be able to breathe during work, I need at least a 15.5 to 16 neck size shirt, but the sides, bottoms, and pretty much everything else is just a mess. The shirt in question was a brand name shirt I bought at the mall at a discount. The only thing that fit was the neck, everything else was just ugggh =( I have gone to other brick and mortar altercations before that would charge me up the woozah for all the changes needed for the shirt. With Nana, she did a quick assessment and immediately went to work. The entire process felt very friendly and one on one. My sides, sleeves, bottoms, everything pretty much needed to be done. On top of that, the style of the buttons on the sleeves made it one of the more advanced altercations needed. However, Nana's prices were fantastic given the attention to detail and service she provided. All the altercations to the shirt itself usually would have cost me over 50 by itself at other altercation locations. But Nana gave me a discount and with the hem altercations on the pants, the total still came to 40 total. She told me she needed a few days, but I told her my new work started in three days and she catered to my needs. I picked up within two days and the work was fantastic. I could not have asked for better. When I consider those 100% made to fit stores that charge at least 100 for a quality shirt, then I consider that I can just buy quality fabric shirts at my neck size and discounted and bring them to Nana.... The placement of the embroidery had to be carefully sewn onto the clothing, using an identical color of sewing thread. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by Leo at the front counter. After seeing the clothing, Leo took the time to position the embroidery on the clothing. He told me the clothing would be ready for pick-up the following day. When I picked-up the clothing a day later, I noticed the embroidery needed some very minor adjustments. So Leo asked me to wait at the shop for a few minutes so he could complete the proper adjustments to the embroidery. When I came in to pick it up, the sleeves were not cut, they're two different sizes, the neckline wasn't cut to size and I looked like the background dancers in the goofy movie with the broad shoulders. There's so much bunching in the top since I have smaller breast and I pointed that out on Monday and he just kept repeating "I cut where I pin" anyone can do that. So since he was only going to cut what he pins, which was not our initial discussion, I took the time to explain. Show him the video again. I made it a point to make sure that he was going to be able to do this the way that I wanted before dropping it off because I would've spent more time looking for places that were capable of following instructions. Thankfully, I recorded our conversation and reported it to the Better Business Bureau. They just kept repeating the same sentence over and over again to the point where I started yelling over them and they started calling me crazy because I didn't want them to "fix anything" and I wanted a refund.
