I bought my dress on an extreme risk: picked out from an antique shop and originally made for a showroom mannequin (for a model-thin and -tall woman). I'm a short and, at the time, soft curvy woman. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at this bridal boutique. Here's what happened: 1. Dress Fitting Issues: At the first fitting, I brought the dress at least twice the size of my actual body measurements. After two fittings, they drastically altered the dress--making it significantly smaller without confirming with me. When I came for the third fitting, the back of the dress wouldn't even close--it was 3 to 4 inches too tight. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, Lana implied that it was either because I was on my period or had gained weight. She told me that if the dress didn't fit again on my next visit, I would need to pay an additional $300 to add a corset in the back. They completely denied any fault on their part. On my following visit, the dress still didn't fit properly (and no, I hadn't gained any weight). Suddenly, they claimed they had "good news" and had found extra lining inside the dress, so I wouldn't need to pay the $300 after all. But throughout the entire process, they continued to insist that the sizing issue wasn't their responsibility. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. 2. Poor Workmanship: The stitching inside the dress was sloppy and uneven (I have photos to prove it). 3. Unhygienic Fitting Rooms: Every time I visited, the fitting rooms were messy and unclean. Not something you'd expect--or accept--when trying on your wedding dress. 4. Insensitive and Embarrassing Comments: On multiple occasions, they made me feel uncomfortable by commenting on the size of my chest in a way that felt inappropriate and shaming. 5. I found out there were multiple stains on my dress. Looks like they stepped on my dress while they were altering it (see the pictures). 6. Lana made me wait for more than 30 minutes when I went in for 2nd fitting. She didn't even say sorry for wasting my time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was stressful and upsetting--especially considering that this was supposed to be a joyful and special time. Lana did magic on my dress and transformed it! I was so upset when I first received my dress from the store that it looked completely different than when I tried it off the rack. I'm a small petite girl and the dress was just not fitting properly, esp the chest area. Lana worked with me 5-6 different times to make sure the chest area fit my size as I didn't want to look too "booby" for my figure. She recommended I get bra fitted at a lingerie store and that changed my life! After multiple visits, we decided the strapless dress would make the chest area look better if I added straps, so we did. Come wedding day, everything fit perfectly. I got married 3 months ago and I wasn't going to leave a review but I got my wedding photos back this week and I can see just how terrible the alterations made on my dress really were. I paid Lana $1,640 for a bustle, to get the sleeves shortened and tightened, hemmed , and the mesh to be replaced. I knew getting married would be expensive so I'm not complaining about the price. I'm just so upset about the quality of the work for the price. The day of my wedding there was a huge hole on one of the underarms. Not a ripped hole but the seams came undone. I had to safety pin it to secure it but I wasn't good enough. The dress was loose and can see it in the photos. I ended up pricking my finger trying to fix it and got blood on my dress. The sleeves- the one on the right was perfect. I don't know if someone else did the left one because it was just terribly made. I remember the last two appointments I had with her I told her I didn't like it. But every time, the sleeve looked the same. The mesh was cut so uneven. I had to buy small fabric scissors to EVEN THE MESH OUT MYSELF. I'm so sad about my dress. I'm writing this review to maybe help other brides. Lana probably does a good job with hems and bustles. Or maybe she was just so busy and couldn't give my dress the time to detail. I don't know. I'm here to give Lana and her team yet another well deserved 5 star review! She made this process so much fun. When I went to my first appointment, I showed her some cap sleeves I wanted attached to the dress. She mentioned that they did not match the dress and that she had extra fabric of my same dress from a previous bride and made me custom sleeves! My dress was altered so perfectly, it did not move around at all. With strapless dresses, you don't want to constantly keep adjusting your dress and I really did not have to all night! She ultimately took my dress that I already loved and made it so much more special. ALSO. I really wanted to wear my moms veil on my wedding day. I took it to one of my appointments to see if she can do something with it as the tool was coarse and stained. The miracle she performed to get my moms veil looking brand new left me speechless!! This review is long overdue. Let me start by saying the Lana is absolutely amazing. I recently had my wedding Nov. 16, 2024 and Lana went above and beyond when I reached out less than a month a before the wedding. I bought my wedding gown at The Dresser Bridal in Fullerton. My dress alterations were done by the seamstress they have at the shop. You'd think they would have real professional seamstress working on these expensive wedding gowns right? Wrong! I was so upset at the way the final alterations were done. When I took my dress home I literally cried in it thinking how bad the bust area looked and how snugged it felt from the waist ( after I specifically said I didn't feel the waist needed adjustments) With only less than a month to go before the wedding I felt I was stuck with a dress that didn't feel anything like the dress I fell in love with when I initially bought it. My sister and daughter encouraged me to go on Google and search for an alterations place. I found Professional Bridal Alterations and messaged Lana with little hope that they would actually be able to help on such short time. Lana responded in less than 20 minutes. She asked for pictures and after reviewing them she asked me to come in for a consultation. At the consultation Lana did see the bust area wasn't done properly. Mind you the pads the dress came with were huge for my bust area. The other seamstress just added another pad instead of removing and actually sewing in smaller ones. Lana took a look at the bustle and pointed out how much the dress still dragged and how much I was going to be stepping on it when I walked or dance. Then she looked at the train and was surprised the other seamstress didn't suggest to remove a fabric layer to show the details of the train and honestly to make it a little less heavy. When she pointed all this out I was thinking (great that's a lot of work she won't be able to get in done on time) That wasn't the case Lana said she was able to help and she would have the dress ready a week before my wedding. We had a total a 3 appointments and in every appointment Lana was super detailed oriented. Every time I tried on the dress she had me walk, dance, and jump to make sure I felt comfortable and there were dragging issues. I was loving my dress once again. Lana fixed the bust area, the bustle and removed a layer from my train. I was truly pleased with the final product. My Martina Liana gown was beautiful again. At the final fitting Lana gave my daughter a quick intensive training on how to bustle the dress and it definitely help because she bustled the dress to perfection the day of the wedding. Lana watches every detail she even added some safety pins the bottom of the dress just in case I needed them the day of the wedding so I wouldn't be scrambling to find some. Since I had a destination wedding Lana even offered to help me pack my dress on my carry on properly. Due to time I wasn't able to go back for her to help me pack it. But I thought that was really kind of her and it showed she really cares about her work and clients. Honestly I would recommend every bride to take their wedding gown dress for alterations to Professional Bridal Alterations over having the alterations done at the store were they buy their gown. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I ended up hating my dress by the end of it and I still had to wear it on my wedding day. I would not recommend Lana. My first appointment was fine and then it was downhill from there. I asked her if she could add off-the-shoulder sleeves and she said she could. By my second appointment, there were issues, the fabric wasn't bunched on the sides and she proceeded to say "why would you choose a dress like this?" Blaming me for my choices. The side panels were bunched and she couldn't fix them so her solution was to add appliqué. I said fine and then was told that I have to find it and give it to her. I went to Downtown LA to find appliqué and gave it to her. By the 3rd or 4th appointment I had to stand in my dress while someone sewed the appliqué on for hours. She didn't charge me to add the appliqué but she still charged me $900 and no apology. She also told me she can't add the off-the-shoulder sleeves that she said she could. At this point I was frustrated. I talked to Monica from Pebbles Bridal and she was gracious and gave me the sleeves for free because I told her how horrible of an experience I was having. I did not end up with the dress I wanted and I ended up hating it and having to wear it on my wedding day. It still haunts me to this day and this was a year ago. I'm planning to do a vow renewal for our 5th anniversary and when I get a dress I will not be coming here. I would not recommend this place. read more

I went wedding shopping during the pandemic and it was beyond stressful because I could not find a single dress that would be available in time for my wedding. After going to 17 bridal shops I finally found a dress but it was off the rack and was made for someone 6 feet tall and a much larger dress size.
