I ended up falling in love with a mermaid gown when I had only tried on A-lines at my previous fittings at two other shops. I felt so beautiful in it from the first fitting to my big day. They also offer alterations at similar pricing to my usual tailor (who charges fairly) - I did get a discount since a shipping delay resulted in my dress coming late which I greatly appreciated! The seamstress who worked on my dress was super sweet and experienced - the hem was perfect, the bodice fit so well I never worried about having to adjust my dress despite it being off-the-shoulder, and the American bustle held up super well (even me jumping around the dance floor couldn't do any damage). I had a wonderful experience here. It's a tiny little shop, but feels spacious due to how it's not crowded and crazy like some other places. I went alone, and the lady was very nice, not pushy at all, and let me take my time. I found a sample gown on an mannequin that I ended up taking; it was pink with chantilly lace, so that was a rare find in a sea of white. There was a trunk show going on so the first dress I tried was by Eddy K, an Italian designer. I knew it was the one because when my mom saw the dress, she was teary eyed. Thank goodness, that was the ONE for me. The fitting room is so cute with a full length French style mirror. It makes you feel all elegant being there. Stephanie is so good at helping you choose your accessories as well. She advised me to go with a fingertip blusher veil which complimented my gorgeous train. I would give 10 stars if I could. Kora Brides was the first and last bridal boutique I went to. During my first appointment back in August 2020, Stephanie was incredibly patient. She picked out so many different styles and fabrics for me to try because I had no idea what I wanted. I fell in love with the second dress I tried on, which was a mermaid style dress from Allure Bridals. I ordered it that day and it arrived about 5 months later in January 2021 during the COVID pandemic. I ended up also ordering a fingertip veil from Kora Brides as well - it completed the look for my garden-esque venue! We started alterations in May and I had 3 fittings with their in-house seamstress, Cecilia. Let me tell you, Cecilia is AMAZING at what she does! She made my dress even more beautiful! She took in the sides, added boning, hemmed the bottom to my heels, added off-shoulder straps for a more ethereal look, and added the bustle. Everything was beyond beautiful. I had a wonderful experience with Stephanie and Cecilia every time I went to my fitting. Stephanie only takes 1 appointment at a time, so it always felt intimate, personal, and private. I may be a taaad late since I came here two years ago for my dress, but I was recommending Kora to a recently-engaged friend and thought it would be nice to write a review! After spending hours in other shops (BHLDN, a place in LA Ktown that wasn't bad, SimplyBridal/Panache), Kora felt like heaven. Maybe it was the A/C, the clean design, the individual 90-minute appointments without other people seeing you partially nekked, but it was just perfect. I came with my MOH first, then my mom, and both times were such a quiet, enjoyable experience (minus the fact that my mom wanted me to wear a different dress, but oh well, not her wedding). Stephanie was extremely kind and helpful, and gave such great recommendations based on my budget and the kind of dress I was looking for. For someone as indecisive and awkward about trying on stuff as I am, her suggestions were on point. It's a far drive from West LA, where I live, but **totally worth it**. My experience at Kora Brides was WONDERFUL from start to finish! It is nice that only one appointment is occurring at any given time, so you get Stephanie's undivided attention/help for your 90 min time slot. The location is a bit difficult to find initially, since there is no large name sign, but it's right next to Haus furniture behind the Wahoo's, as they will tell you in a confirmation text the morning of your appointment. The boutique is super cute and picturesque, with plenty of seating for the friends/family you bring with you. Stephanie was amazing and super friendly -- she really caught on to the style I was aiming for after I showed her a few Instagram and Pinterest pictures. She picked out recommendations for me to try on right away, asking more questions as we went along so she could help me find the perfect style for me. She got me a little out of my comfort zone and had me try on a different dress type, which my friends and I turned out to love. Having gone to larger bridal stores, I enjoyed this experience much more because 1) it was extremely personalized and 2) the gowns that have made it onto Kora Brides' rack have been carefully curated already! I don't normally write reviews, but I felt I needed to for this business. Kora Brides was the first bridal store I decided to go to and I'm so glad it was! The store is located in a plaza with easy parking and as soon as I walked in, I appreciated how clean and organized it was. All of the dresses are gorgeous. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were considering how unique they are. The store doesn't carry hundreds of dresses, but there were so many different styles and designs that I was able to pick a good handful to try on. Because the store is by appointment only, the store owner, Stephanie, was very attentive and gave me her honest opinion/suggestion when it came to trying on each dress. She let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and the whole experience was stress free! For now, I decided to get a dress for my photoshoot and I can't wait to wear it!
