I just want to start by saying a huge thank you to Stephanie at Kora Brides! From the moment I walked into her store, I was greeted with so much warmth and care! I had already visited several bridal stores before coming to Kora Brides. I was amazed that I had the entire store to myself as Stephanie only schedules one bride at a time. What a great first experience wedding dress shopping. Stephanie was so patient and wonderful. I felt like she was just one my besties helping me find a dress, she makes you feel THAT comfortable. The store is gorgeous and elegant and very private. It was my first time trying on dresses so I don't have much to compare it to but I enjoyed myself. We had a lovely fitting. But made a huge mistake. A costly mistake. A size 6 would have been too big for my daughter, especially in the bust so a 4 was an option. We were advised lightly, not persuasively or firmly to get a 6. We opted for the 4 and it is too small. Alterations were quoted at $1000. We should have listened and purchased a 6 but heck what did we know. I didn't know that it's cheaper to alter a larger dress. I wish they would have been firmer and given the many reasons ("a 4 would be too snug around the hip/pelvic area") why buying a larger size is better. So, I'm stressed out and we are going to another tailor to get it fixed for less. Not a good ending experience. In all fairness, we made the decision for the size 4. And Kora went along with it. I needed an expert to persuade me and explain it to me, not someone to go along with me. And no, my daughter did not gain weight. She is a fit runner. And no she cannot lose weight because there is no weight to lose. read more

I called on a Friday afternoon to see if I could come browse accessories. I was told that they closed soon but that she would text me pictures of what they had. What they had didn't match what I envisioned. The next week she texted me some more pieces thst matched what I was looking for. Unfortunately they were booked the rest of the week and I wasn't able to get it. I was anxious to get my veil and hair piece so I went elsewhere to get it but if they had availability, I would have happily supported them with a purchase. I figure a review is the least I can do. Total hidden gem! So happy to have found Kora. I did a lot of research on dress shops because I wanted a quality dress that wasn't going to come at an outrageous price. I went to a couple of other shops, but Kora was both the best experience and had the nicest dresses. The samples are well cared for- clean and in good condition, unlike other boutiques I visited. Stephanie was a joy to work with. She is very warm and makes you feel comfortable immediately. She respected my budget, never made me feel rushed, and took time to answer all of my questions. She is also honest, which I really appreciated. I picked out several dresses to try and wasn't crazy about any of them. She grabbed one for me that I never would have picked up, and it ended up being my dress! She has a great eye for what will look good on you and quickly picks up on your style. It's because of her that I found my perfect dress. Stephanie has been so helpful throughout the whole process, and responded to my text message questions. She even had a tailor (not affiliated with Kora) come to my second appointment, before I purchased the dress, to give me a quote and ensure that the dress could be altered the way I imagined. She allowed me to purchase the sample dress, which is in great condition. Even after purchasing the dress, she offered to allow me to come back to the store to do my first fitting with the tailor, who again, is not affiliated with Kora. I am writing this review on behalf of my wife who loved the dress she got here and so did everyone else. The only issue that we had was that the dress did not come in time even after my wife paid the rush fee. The dress came almost 2 weeks late which was cutting it very close to our wedding date (week later) and this in turn made us rush the alteration and then some issues did come out of it. Of course I was also the collateral damage from those issues that came out of it that I don't particularly appreciate. Dress wise it was great and definitely a five stars but in terms of getting the dress in time it was definitely nerve-wracking. I had an incredible experience with Stephanie at Kora brides. I saw that there was a preview sale for a dress I knew I had to have but wanted to try on just to make sure. I had initially picked Kora because it was one of the few shops that carried the Eddy K Italia collection but it is by far the best bridal boutique I've been to. It's small, clean, and modern and you have the entire shop to yourself during your appointment so it's a very private and personal experience. Stephanie was absolutely fantastic. From the beginning, Stephanie has been amazing to work with. She was very patient and even allowed my entire bridal party to come inside because we were planning on having a couple "picnic" the outside window since covid restrictions were still vague. The experience was intimate and personal as it was just us in the store. Stephanie was actually the one that chose the wedding dress I ended up saying 'Yes!' to. I came in with no specific style since I wanted to keep an open mind and it's like Stephanie knew me better than I knew myself! It was like working with an old friend. Even with the first dress I tried on, I thought I was done and I told my bridal party I didn't need to try on anymore. But it was actually the 2nd dress I tried on that Stephanie chose for me that I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH. THE BEST!!! GO HERE. JUST GO!!! I should have written this review months ago, but got all shiny squirreled with married life- I lagged. This was absolutely the best wedding dress shopping experience, EVER! I have not shopped for a wedding dress for myself before, but I have been in MANY weddings and attended what seems like a 1000 fittings, experienced all the horror stories etc. As an FYI, this is a very moderately priced wedding shop; the dresses are stunning- literally shocked at how some of the most extravagant dresses were less than $4,000. If you're the bride that has a $10K budget, name brand wedding vision, this might not be the place you are looking for. Aside, from that heads up- everything about this experience was perfect. I had a pretty quick, 10-month engagement, as coming off the tail-end of COVID we read that 2023 was going to be the busiest wedding year of all time and didn't want to deal with the price hikes and sold out statuses. Given the typical wait times of getting a dress (5-8 months) I had to super speed finding the gown. Kora had readily available appointments within days of looking. It's hard to pick what the best thing was, but only ONE BRIDE at a time is in the shop, which is AMAZING. You, your friends and family are the only ones in the shop while you go through and pick your favorites to try on. No other brides to compare yourself too, no dresses hidden in 5 other dressing rooms. You can be loud and gigglely if that's how your crew roles. The one-on-one personal feel you get made it a premium experience. Stephanie, the owner, is there with you each step of the way to tweak, create and guide you through the whole process. Your appointment time is designated, and when we were deciding between 2-3 dresses we had already gone over 15 minutes. Rather than forcing us to make a choice or get short and kick us out; she kindly offered to come back after the store typically closed, to give us a little more time in selecting the winning dress. The dresses were stunning and gorgeous. There were simple ones, intricate ones, different shapes, and lots of potential. The shop is adorably decorated, dainty, fun, big windows where you come out for natural light. There is a bit of a French like decor, with a couch and chairs. I had 6 people, and she even when and moved another chair so everyone could sit in the viewing area. The dressing room is huge with a little love seat and big mirror. I've been in the cramped ones, and it gets hot, and stuffy and lose sight of the dresses you have. She helped me in and out of the dresses, always right there to help or set up the next dress. I absolutely fell in love with the dress I bought, but wanted to make it my own a little bit. The seamstress was so sweet and did an amazing job on the alterations I wanted, which were not easy. I lowered the back a lot, i wanted the chest area smaller and more contoured, pinched the back under the butt to make it fit more snug, strapped shortened and dress hemmed. I want to be fair in my review so the only small, tiny thing I would suggest is at the final fitting and working the bustle, make sure that it's going to be secure. Couple times they fell off during the party time dancing and had to reattach, I ended up just holding my dress during the after party. The alterations were not cheap, but the dresses are so reasonably priced, that I got a completely customized dress for less than expected. The dress I picked was at the shop in my size and only been tried on by 2 other brides as it was brand new at the shop. I got to take it home that same day. But we did sit down and talk about shipping and she was very honest on timing, but seemed very reasonable and within average time range to receive a shipped dress. I was able to do 4 different alteration appointments, which was awesome as it fit me perfectly just before my wedding. This place made my experience so fun and lighthearted. I'm so lucky to have found Stephanie and Kora Brides! I was looking for a Mikaella dress, and her boutique was listed on their website. I emailed her asking if she had the specific dress I had in mind, and she was quick to respond and made my first appointment for me. This was my 3rd appointment looking for the perfect dress, and I am extremely happy with my experience at Kora Brides.
