I brought my mom and best friend. We all sat down and she asked what I want to look and feel like in my dress, if I have an idea of what I want (shape, fabric, color, etc), if I've tried any dresses on already, and my price range. We got to browse and point out any dresses for Erin to pull while she went all around pulling any dress she thought I might like. Erin clipped me in so well that I didn't have to tug and adjust the dress while seeing how I liked it. For each dress I got to walk out to the pedestal and check myself out in the mirror and lighting. For each dress, she asked how I felt in it, what I liked, what I didn't like, what I would change... and this all helped her narrow down which dresses to try on or others to grab to add to the list. I got to try different veils (which I didn't know I wanted and it totally completed the look, so now I'm getting a veil) and even go to different lighting to see what natural lighting would look like on the sparkles too. When I found the dress, I got to participate in the Mon Amie tradition of making a wish for myself, my fiancé, and my marriage, then ring the bell and celebrate! Measurements were taken and a detailed contract was written up with pricing and a quote for alterations. Parking was easy & there is a bathroom in the back! There was a ginormous selection of dresses of all fits, fabrics, and styles.

She even pulled dresses I wouldn't have chosen myself, one of which became my dress. The hospitality, including sparkling wine and a beautiful try-on space, made it a truly special experience. Unfortunately, my presentation appointment this past weekend was very different. I invited my maid of honor and future mother-in-law since it was just my mom and I during my initial dress shopping appointment. I expected a similar, celebratory moment, but it felt more like a quick errand. We were placed in a small back room, the appointment felt rushed, and there was little of the hospitality I experienced before. The biggest issue was trying on my dress. It didn't fit, which was stressful and disappointing, but obviously no one's fault. That said, I wish the staff had taken a more discreet and thoughtful approach, like adjusting or clipping the dress before bringing my guests in. Instead, my guests were brought in while the dress was visibly unfastened, and the conversation focused on fit issues. I was also asked about my weight in front of everyone, which felt uncomfortable and could have been handled more privately. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially compared to such a strong first impression. I still love my dress and hope this was just a one-off, and that the alterations process will be more positive. I'd just recommend managing expectations and not treating the presentation appointment as a special occasion for guests.

After helping me find my dream dress, Daniella stepped in for measurements and suggested a specific bolero when I mentioned I needed a jacket to wear during our church ceremony. She recommended one that was so glamorous and transformed my dress from what felt like one look, to two. I am so in love with my dress, jacket, and the matching veil she suggested. Every time she asked for a change, they refused, saying it would change the designer's intention regardless of how it fits on the bride, and they kept threatening her with rush fees for any further modifications. A dress should be altered to fit the bride, not to preserve the designer's work. 1 month before our wedding they had screwed up her dress, so we had to find another bridal shop last minute and pay extra fees to make sure it would be ready in time. They refused to refund her money and told her to take the unaltered dress or they would toss it, which I found very rude. My fiancé was left in tears and under enormous stress dealing with this shop. I would strongly discourage anyone from buying their dress here.

Instead of just leaving it at that, they offered to order the dress in my size and preferred color with just a $100 deposit. We started off by browsing the store and picking a few dresses, and Huong also recommended a few as well based on my vision. My mom and sister had fun being able to go through the selection and suggest some dresses. I came in knowing I wanted to try on a specific dress and Huong made sure to find it for me! Throughout the whole process I felt so comfortable and supported by Huong. I just want to thank her for being so patient and kind to me. She helped me get in to each dress and never made me feel like I was a bother even though we tried on so many dresses! And she even saved the dress I came in to try on for last, just so that I could be sure that there wasn't something unexpected that I ended up liking. When I finally did try on the one, I felt so relieved that I finally found my dress! The guests I brought had comfortable seating as I tried on each dress. They even have a long walkway for you to practice walking in your dress to make sure you're truly comfortable. Beautiful and unique bridal collection! Whilst there are so many different styles and options to choose from, the dresses are carefully curated so it isn't overwhelming. Range of budgets, though the veils were a bit expensive. The bridal consultant and shop manager are very professional, sincere, and have a keen eye for what would suit your body type and style. I went to a couple shops before, and the atmosphere here is one of the nicest I'd seen. I had an idea and some photos with me, but the consultant actually suggested a few different options, and I am so pleased I trusted her. I ended up with the most perfect dress, suited to me, which combined all the elements I loved from several dresses, but was actually a dress I would never have picked myself. Funny how that happens! The seamstresses were so meticulous and talented, and very patient with me across the 3 fittings. Since I live abroad, I only had 2 weeks before the wedding for the final 2 fittings and despite the short time, and the amount of hand stitching needed due to the delicate embellishments, she made it happen read more

I am so extremely grateful to have found Erin Cole. How miraculous that her boutique is based in Costa Mesa! Everything in my experience was truly A+. The boutique is extra gorgeous and immediately puts you into a joyful mood. Erin herself is darling. Her hospitality, artist's eye and personable character are just something else. Every single one of Erin's is an artwork. The design, fabric and fit are top-notch. It was really difficult to choose. But with Erin's patience, I picked the perfect one for me. I just got engaged and I had never been wedding dress shopping before. I new I had to stick to my budget and was expecting to have them sell me something out of my price range. I was wrong. Erin Cole herself was helping me. She was so nice and very helpful. Erin made me feel as if I were her only customer that day. I did not feel rushed or pressured at all. She stayed within my price range and gave me great advice. After a few hours with Erin I felt like she was my long lost sister. She is very nice with a great sense of humor. Dress shopping is nerve racking business ladies, if someone can make you laugh and put you at ease it makes the experience so much easier. Hello! I was @ the Erin Cole couture bridal salon this weekend (for the third time) Think it's taken me three visits since they had such an amazing selection. Finally purchased an amazing Rivini gown. You'd think they would be bothered that it has taken me three visits, but they couldn't have been more informative, kind and just wanted to make sure it was the gown I loved. After visiting four other local salons, I have to say that hands down, they have an amazing business and would suggest any bride to visit this beautiful salon. She asked for photos and videos of my venue and a look at my Pinterest board, and when she asked about my budget she informed me that I should consider upping my budget. She pulled out 5 dresses for me to try on and we went to work! While dressing me she was very friendly and she conversed with me like normal, as if I wasn't undressed in front of her ahaha but that really helped make the experience super seamless and comfortable. All the dresses were so beautiful and gorgeous, and the quality of the dresses were so good too. None of them felt too heavy, scratchy, or uncomfortable. One dress I tried on(the second one!) really stuck out to me and I've never felt as beautiful as I did in that moment. Even Coco said that it was super gorgeous on me too. Coco offered that I go and get lunch with my bridal party and I could come back if I made a decision to purchase. After discussing over lunch, we went back and I was able to facetime my sister to show her the dress, get her approval, and I put a deposit down for the dress! I didn't expect to buy a dress on my 2nd bridal store appointment, but I'm so happy I went to Poppy Bridal. shoutout to meral for saving me from a stressful experience, aka bridesmaid dress tailoring! i had…read moreordered my dress online with custom measurements, and it still came in all wrong. the wedding was in less than a month so i immediately went online and found meral. she was able to squeeze me in during the evening after work to take my measurements and dress, which i was so thankful for. she provided her suggestions for the dress in terms of the draping and the slit height, and she was able to work her magic so quickly! i got my dress back in less than two weeks and it fit perfectly. the pricing was very reasonable as well, while also considering her disclosure that velvet is typically much harder to work with for most seamstresses (but clearly she had no problem!). she also had a bunch of gorgeous wedding dresses she had created on display in her workroom, so it was very admirable to see the clear care and detail she puts into her work. 10/10, would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a dress altered!

I was actually referred to Chia by another seamstress who was not taking new clients at the time I…read morecalled her. Chia turned out to be wonderful and very skilled at her profession. Being a designer and dressmaker herself allows her to understand the intricate construction of wedding gowns. On my first meeting with Chia, I told her what changes I wanted to make to my dress and she also made her own suggestions, which I followed. After our consultation, she calculated everything and allowed me to make the decision of whether or not I wanted to proceed. I didn't feel pressured at all and found her prices to be pretty reasonable. I made an appointment with Chia to return in about one month for my first fitting. When I came back I expected my dress to be almost completed (Chia mentioned she usually does 2 or 3 fittings and then the final fitting) but I found out that Chia likes to work in stages on your dress. This allows her to make adjustments to your taste as she continues working without having to redo something or make corrections. The one change I made towards the end of the process was to make the neckline of my dress more sweetheart. I brought in photos as an example and she was able to make the alteration perfectly. These are the alterations Chia made for me: tightening the bust, adding bust cups, sweetheart neckline, shortening the length, tightening the dress under my booty (I had a fit and flare style) and adding a bustle. The resulting dress fit like a glove and I did not have to worry about adjusting my dress the whole day. Looking back, the only thing I would have changed was the thickness of the bust cups she added. I kept insisting to Chia I wanted to "enhance" my chest so she added the extra thick bust cups but I think it caused the bust to gap away from my chest a bit. It wasn't noticeable looking at me from the front but it was from the side (and consequently in some of our photos). However, I wouldn't fault Chia for this because I was persistent and she was trying to make me happy. I would highly recommend Chia because she is very detail oriented and takes pride in her work. Overall, I think I had 4 or 5 fittings total before I was able to bring my dress home (about 2 weeks before our wedding date). She is also quite accommodating to your schedule and was always able to see me in the evenings after work, around 6:00pm or 6:30pm. Tip: Each fitting lasts about 30-45 minutes and make sure to always bring the undergarments and shoes you'll wear on your wedding day.

I…read morecalled Chia around 1:30p.m. and she gladly gave us an appointment for the same day at 4p.m. My friends and I went to Casablanca Bridal (which I definitely recommend! Linda was sucha sweetheart!) and came here after that appointment to try on more dresses. As we excitedly go up to the store, Chia greets us and I tell her when my wedding date is (Beginning of next October) and Chia says that it's too early to be looking for dresses and suggests us to look elsewhere like David's Bridal and such and try on dresses there, then come back when I know what I'm looking for. Chia then hands us her business card and we had to ask if we can still look at all the dresses and try them on, but after her rude dismissal, we just left since we felt unwanted there. The reviews here of her were splendid on Yelp; however, our experience was such a big disappointment and we decided to go to other bridal places. Definitely suggest going elsewhere :(

They set aside enough time to try on gowns and really listen to your needs. The one-on-one private appointments are so intimate and no distractions. There is never any pressure and I must have gone to see her 5 times before deciding on a dress. They are the best. Just love them!
