It was easy to book my appointment and it seemed like they had good availability as most bridal boutiques I looked at visiting did not. I was able to find something that fit my schedule and booked it right away. I had several family emergencies come up that delayed my visit to Blush Bridal, and every time I needed to rescheduled someone was happy to help me find something that worked better for me. I was paired with Hanna for my fitting and I could not be happier with my experience at Blush. I am a bride who does NOT care about spending a ton of money on a gown. I wanted something within a certain budget and shared that with Hanna. I loved that she didn't judge me for not wanting to spend a ton of money on a gown and instead she chose items that were within my budget and did not pressure me to try on things that were more expensive. When I arrived, she had several dresses that were reflective of my Pinterest Board that I had shared previously. I am also a mid/plus size bride (bridal size 16) and Hanna chose dresses that flattered my figure. I loved that they had sample sizes that actually fit me. Kaeli the stylist was amazing, and this shop was my favorite of all three couture shops I visited. I loved the personalized experience, from the personal confirmation text from your stylist about ?1 day before your appointment to the welcome sign and dressing room/ viewing area experience. You can book your first visit online. Kaeli did an outstanding job of choosing dresses for me based on a couple of inspiration photos I showed her. She also listened carefully and quickly adjusted as I gave my thoughts along the way, which is quite a skill, since it was my first shop experience, and I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted going in. They have a variety of styles and price points, and Kaeli was respectful of my 2K budget, choosing dresses within budget (not all places will do this, beware!). I almost got my dress here, however, I ended up choosing a different style at a sample sale a month later due to pricing, timing, and style--I liked my top two dresses equally. Let me start by saying this is the first of my baby girls to get married, so of course I was a little skeptical about how this whole experience would go. We arrived about 15 minutes early for the appointment and understood we needed to come back, so the three of us my daughter, my sister-in-law, and I walked to a nearby coffee shop to get some tea while we waited for my sister, my niece, and one of her bridesmaids, Sam. When we all got back and walked in, we were greeted by Hailey. She was so bubbly and genuinely excited to help my daughter find the dress. Blush bridal itself was great however I would recommend you go through an alternative seamstress and preservation company than the ones that Blush recommends. I went through their preferred seamstress and the cost was significantly higher than Blush's estimates (Blush estimated $900-1300 and my cost was negotiated down to $1700 with $900 of that just being to hem the dress. Blush did help me negotiate the cost down which I appreciated given the original quote from the seamstress was higher, but it was still more than I was anticipating). The seamstress did a fine job in the end but the experience left a lot to be desired. During my first fitting she took a razor to the dress to start cutting it open while I was wearing it without really explaining what she was doing. Later fittings got better but I felt like I really had to beg her to fix certain things on the dress, I was glad my MIL was with me who also sews because she was able to point out things I otherwise would have missed and have the seamstress address them. The seamstress also did not do a final steaming on the dress and she did not properly attach the boning that was added so I got super cut up on my wedding day. I ended up having to cut part of it off during my wedding so the dress would stop scratching me. A week later the cuts have still not healed completely. I do love how my dress turned out, but for how much you are paying for a dress and alterations I would expect greater attention to detail and a better customer experience. Additionally, Blush recommended Margaret's for dress preservation. Margaret's refused to provide a quote over the phone. Upon going to Margaret's in person the staff were incredibly rude and made it a point that you know they are "on average 5 times more expensive than your typical dry cleaner". The estimate from Margaret's to clean and preserve the dress was $2300 so we decided to go to our typical dry cleaner instead. I wish someone had told me that the referral experience would be this difficult/expensive when I was buying my dress so I had a better idea of what to expect and budget for. Buying the dress through Blush was great but the entire experience after purchase was incredibly frustrating. read more
