I was there with the bride to be's mother and father, along with our 101 year old mother (her grandma), and another sister. This was my very first stop, first time, never been to a wedding dress boutique. I had an appointment 1/28/25 @1230 with 1 friend. I came in and I did not know what to expect from a wedding dress boutique. I don't recall the women's name, but she was not very enthusiastic to work there. I had told it this was my first time and I didn't know what to look for based on my body type. She asked what my budget was, and honestly, I never really placed a budget price, but from looking online and seeing some cost, I said $2000. Instead of explaining to me how I should pick my dressed, she just told me to look around and pick a couple. I picked 3, but was not done looking, she suggested I go try it one. Everything felt rushed and an unpleasant experience. I wanted to take photos of each dress as I tried it one. Once I got to the third dress, it was a corset that required ties, and I had asked the employee if there was a clip to hold the dress up. She said what are you trying to do. I said take a photo. She said the back!!!! I said no the front. So I turned around, she tugged on the dress and shook me tight roughly. My friend even said to me she's kind of mean. After I tried on the third dress, I had to get dressed to look at other dresses, which was quite annoying to put my own clothes back on to take the off again. I went into the section for ball gowns. Instead of letting me try any of them, she said oh no honey, these are priced $4-6000. My idea is, if a female ends up liking a dress she will buy it. But I guess not everyone thinks that way. One being that my seamstress was in an "accident" another that they "misplaced" my dress, finally found it and scheduled the third one and absolutely nothing had been done to it, the pins were still in it and when we asked about it they said oh we have to see what you want done to it even though I was told after my dress was missing that it was done and ready for pick up. I have some mixed feelings with A Royal Moment. Gigi was helpful in getting me in and out of the dresses and she was funny. There weren't very many options to choose from and I kept getting turned away from other dresses. At the end I was stuck between two different dresses, but one was a more nude color and I loved the bottom half and the other dress was white and I loved the top half. And maybe it's my fault, but I thought that was it as far as my options. But at the same time a wedding dress shop expert should also be able to help pull some ideas for different options, or different colors (if that store even has that who knows ‍). So any way I ended up going with one of the dresses as hard as that was. The next thing was was that Gigi knew I wanted to be in the $2000 range, but then again no big deal. She asked me if I was going to say yes to the dress? And I said that all depends on the price. Well of course she said, "oh today we are having are sale on dresses" she told me the dress is "normally $2500 and it will be $1600 today!" Now that sounded amazing, but what she failed to do was to tell me that the dress is FINAL SALE and NO EXCHANGES... even if you haven't done anything to it. Less than 10 minutes after leaving the store she called my phone to let me know that she forgot to give me my receipt. I recently had my gown altered, I was surprised by the alteration cost. The alteration ended up being half the price of the gown itself, which felt quite high and unexpected. I would have appreciated a clearer estimate beforehand. Transparency in pricing would really help customers plan better in the future. I wouldn't recommend buying here. I had such a good experience with the team at A Royal Moment! They had a lot of different dresses to choose from. When I went to try dresses I told them I wasn't entirely sure exactly what I wanted but that I wanted to figure out what shape will look good on me and I gave them a general description of what I like. They spent over 2 hours with me and my group pulling dresses for me until I found my wedding dress! The day I bought my dress I also got to set up my first alterations appointment which was super helpful. The seamstress was super nice and super helpful. We had to cut off a decent amount of fabric from the bottom of my dress because I'm so short but they gave me my extra fabric to keep. They were also able to make the dress fit me perfectly (it originally was a little loose in the top area and I wanted to make sure I'd stay put all night). I found this bridal shop on a blog post about affordable bridal salons in the Orange County area as well as a shop that accommodated plus size brides. Based off of the positive reviews I saw on Yelp I booked an appointment. Overall an okay experience but could have been better. The people working there were very nice but this was more of a do it yourself salon. I went through and selected all of my own gowns and also tried all of them on my own without much assistance. I did get a few recommendations once the consultant was able to help us but she was being pulled in a lot of different directions when we first walked in. My biggest complaint was that this shop didn't have the appropriate fasteners in order for me to properly try on dresses. I'm a size 12/14 and most of these dresses were on the smaller side. Usually shops would have elastic fasteners to be able to secure dresses but when asked I was told all they had were clips. I was shocked she didn't have anything to close up these gowns. My mom and I were literally holding up the dress so I could take photos. Was a bit of a let down. I was able to try on a few different silhouette options and see what style of dress I preferred. The prices are also definitely reasonable, but I have since been to 3 other bridal shops in Orange County and have had a better, more enjoyable experience. read more

They were kind enough to hold my dress for me as well since I was in the process of moving places. My (now) husband and I decided to get married and planned our wedding within 2.5 months. I thought I was going to have to basically get something off the rack and have to be okay with it. Also, I live 4 hours away and had only a handful of times that i would be able to go dress shopping. I scheduled my dress appointment when we were in town visiting my mom. I ordered something online prior to this and when it arrived, right before my appointment, I tried it on and it was too small. I was having a hard time that afternoon. When my mom and I arrived, we met with my matron of honor and my stylist. Let me tell you, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and find just the right dress. They tell you to expect your appointment to be 1-2 hours - I was there for 3; cancelling my appointment at another shop. Nothing seemed right - too poofy, too yellow, too white - that was until she brought out THE dress. I put it on and INSTANTLY knew but just for giggles, I tried the other one I liked as well. But I knew it was THE one. We made some alterations on it - removed some things and the normal tailoring. They introduced us to Aida, their tailor and LET. ME. TELL. YOU. she is AMAZING. She instantly told me that she loved the dress and she would do ANYTHING to make us happy AND have it turned around by the time I needed it - AND. SHE. DID. I had the dress, after all the alterations, back within a MONTH of my date. Aida is a WIZARD. She made my already beautiful dress ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and I got SO many complements.
