The day of my appointment (after two back to back weekends of pretty underwhelming dress appts), I had tried on a few and liked a few aspects of the dresses pulled. The last dress of the day is when Camille pulled out THE ONE! At this point I decided to think about it as I was overthinking if this was truly the dress and she was so kind and understanding. I didn't feel pressured to purchase right then and there. I ended up booking the "The One" appointment for the following weekend and again, Camille, the staff, everything was perfect and I finally said yes to the dress! Lex helped me with measurements and ordering, answered all my questions, and made me feel confident moving forward with securing the dress. I cannot thank Love and Lace enough and can't wait to pick up my dress later this year for my Jan. 2027 wedding!

This bridal salon ended up being the only one I went to, I found my perfect dress with the help of Lex. She truly made my experience amazing. I wish I could go back just to hang out with her! I came into the salon with a list of dresses that I had previously viewed on their website, Lex pulled them right out for me and we got to work! She had also pulled some different designs just so I could see how I looked in them, which I did end up loving! At the end of my first visit, I fell in love with two different dresses. Again, it was also my first bridal salon that I had visited so far, so I was still planning on checking out other places. After telling Lex that I wanted to sleep on it/check out other places she was totally understanding and didn't "pressure" me like a lot of other places I've heard. I could not stop thinking about one of the dresses I tried on at my first fitting, so I made my follow up appointment (obviously with Lex) and boom! Wedding dress secured! I picked a dress from Lulus online and needed hemming, sleeves and bust adjusted, waist seam hidden, the sides let out, zipper replaced, a bustle added, and the dress has 3 layers. The pricing is detailed on the website and I expected to pay for the amount of work done in and in such a short amount of time. When they finished pinning, they asked me to dress and then we finally discussed price. I was quoted $800 and was asked to prepay in full, in cash or check. This was not mentioned before the appointment at all. When I said I was not ready to pay today, she showed me other clients' pre-paid invoices to encourage me and let me know that this is what she asks of everyone. I ended up leaving my dress with her and had to set a time to come back and drop off the cash. I talked with my mom about what happened on my way home from the appointment, as I felt a bit uneasy about what had just happened and she agreed with me. So, I contacted Dorie to tell her I'd like to come pickup my dress to get other quotes for the alterations. I stated I could come at our already scheduled time or sooner. What followed was several days of pushback, with messages about how many brides come back to her, screenshots of 5-star reviews, offers of a discount (which was not mentioned before) a "sleep on it, relax" message, and a follow-up offering to split payment in half (which I asked about and had been told that was not an option, it was prepay only). I picked up my dress without incident, there was another bride there so Dorie's husband helped me get my gown back into the garment bag. I thought that was that but received another review screenshot two days later, at which point I blocked her number. Too much of a hard sell for me. I've since found another seamstress who did a full consultation with me discussing price and options to figure out what I liked best, and making sure I did want to go forward with her services, before putting a single pin in my gown. This is what I was expecting to have happen with Dorie based on all the great reviews but that was not my experience.

I brought my mom and best friend. We all sat down and she asked what I want to look and feel like in my dress, if I have an idea of what I want (shape, fabric, color, etc), if I've tried any dresses on already, and my price range. We got to browse and point out any dresses for Erin to pull while she went all around pulling any dress she thought I might like. Erin clipped me in so well that I didn't have to tug and adjust the dress while seeing how I liked it. For each dress I got to walk out to the pedestal and check myself out in the mirror and lighting. For each dress, she asked how I felt in it, what I liked, what I didn't like, what I would change... and this all helped her narrow down which dresses to try on or others to grab to add to the list. I got to try different veils (which I didn't know I wanted and it totally completed the look, so now I'm getting a veil) and even go to different lighting to see what natural lighting would look like on the sparkles too. When I found the dress, I got to participate in the Mon Amie tradition of making a wish for myself, my fiancé, and my marriage, then ring the bell and celebrate! Measurements were taken and a detailed contract was written up with pricing and a quote for alterations. Parking was easy & there is a bathroom in the back! There was a ginormous selection of dresses of all fits, fabrics, and styles.

She even pulled dresses I wouldn't have chosen myself, one of which became my dress. The hospitality, including sparkling wine and a beautiful try-on space, made it a truly special experience. Unfortunately, my presentation appointment this past weekend was very different. I invited my maid of honor and future mother-in-law since it was just my mom and I during my initial dress shopping appointment. I expected a similar, celebratory moment, but it felt more like a quick errand. We were placed in a small back room, the appointment felt rushed, and there was little of the hospitality I experienced before. The biggest issue was trying on my dress. It didn't fit, which was stressful and disappointing, but obviously no one's fault. That said, I wish the staff had taken a more discreet and thoughtful approach, like adjusting or clipping the dress before bringing my guests in. Instead, my guests were brought in while the dress was visibly unfastened, and the conversation focused on fit issues. I was also asked about my weight in front of everyone, which felt uncomfortable and could have been handled more privately. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially compared to such a strong first impression. I still love my dress and hope this was just a one-off, and that the alterations process will be more positive. We started off by browsing the store and picking a few dresses, and Huong also recommended a few as well based on my vision. My mom and sister had fun being able to go through the selection and suggest some dresses. I came in knowing I wanted to try on a specific dress and Huong made sure to find it for me! Throughout the whole process I felt so comfortable and supported by Huong. I just want to thank her for being so patient and kind to me. She helped me get in to each dress and never made me feel like I was a bother even though we tried on so many dresses! And she even saved the dress I came in to try on for last, just so that I could be sure that there wasn't something unexpected that I ended up liking. When I finally did try on the one, I felt so relieved that I finally found my dress! Also side note, this was actually a rescheduled appointment because I had a family emergency happen the day before my first appointment, but they were so kind, understanding, and even remembered it the day of my rescheduled appointment weeks later. That meant so much to me! I had a great experience dress shopping here and can't wait to receive my dress when it arrives later this year!

They don't offer water, tea, etc., nothing to drink, while all 4 other salons would offer water or a soda at a minimum. I had one other appointment earlier in the day, which I ultimately went back to to purchase my dress, despite Jaclyn's also carrying my dress. Jaclyn's price was $700 more for the exact same dress, but even if it had been the same price, I wouldn't have purchased from here based on the service. I get the feeling that the service would be better if you were walking in here with a very large budget. Just an underwhelming experience.

Fast forward Thursday, you had SEVERAL of those new dresses already pulled aside. You listened, observed and knew where my mind was going on style and fit. The turnaround time for our wedding is less than 6 months. There was also a large selection and variety of dresses, so I feel like they have something for everyone. I was really impressed with how spacious and comfortable the seating area was. Around the pedestal where the brides stand on, there is plenty of room to walk around to scrutinize the dress and take pictures! But honestly, what made this visit so memorable was just how personable, friendly, and funny Stephanie was. She was so helpful with assisting my friend into the different dresses and she brought out different veils and accessories for my friend to try on with the dresses to complete the look. I ended up falling in love with a mermaid gown when I had only tried on A-lines at my previous fittings at two other shops. I felt so beautiful in it from the first fitting to my big day. They also offer alterations at similar pricing to my usual tailor (who charges fairly) - I did get a discount since a shipping delay resulted in my dress coming late which I greatly appreciated! The seamstress who worked on my dress was super sweet and experienced - the hem was perfect, the bodice fit so well I never worried about having to adjust my dress despite it being off-the-shoulder, and the American bustle held up super well (even me jumping around the dance floor couldn't do any damage). Their hours were a little unclear online and I had to wait a couple days for a response at times (usually because they were still waiting on something), but overall a wonderful experience!
