For those males who like to be business fashionable during work, my entire story is below. Hopefully it helps with making your decision whether to call Nana or not. I gave her a call on a Sunday and set an appointment for a pants hem and shirt altercation. I have body measurements that require very custom measurements. In order to be able to breathe during work, I need at least a 15.5 to 16 neck size shirt, but the sides, bottoms, and pretty much everything else is just a mess. The shirt in question was a brand name shirt I bought at the mall at a discount. The only thing that fit was the neck, everything else was just ugggh =( I have gone to other brick and mortar altercations before that would charge me up the woozah for all the changes needed for the shirt. With Nana, she did a quick assessment and immediately went to work. The entire process felt very friendly and one on one. My sides, sleeves, bottoms, everything pretty much needed to be done. On top of that, the style of the buttons on the sleeves made it one of the more advanced altercations needed. However, Nana's prices were fantastic given the attention to detail and service she provided. All the altercations to the shirt itself usually would have cost me over 50 by itself at other altercation locations. But Nana gave me a discount and with the hem altercations on the pants, the total still came to 40 total. She told me she needed a few days, but I told her my new work started in three days and she catered to my needs. I picked up within two days and the work was fantastic. I could not have asked for better. When I consider those 100% made to fit stores that charge at least 100 for a quality shirt, then I consider that I can just buy quality fabric shirts at my neck size and discounted and bring them to Nana.... I will def choose Nana every time. I plan on bringing a few more shirts over sometime within the next few weeks. TLDR: Nana is a joy to work with. Fantastic work. Fantastic and competitive prices considering the attention she provides you. She is very flexible on your needs. Highly reccomended!!

The placement of the embroidery had to be carefully sewn onto the clothing, using an identical color of sewing thread. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by Leo at the front counter. After seeing the clothing, Leo took the time to position the embroidery on the clothing. He told me the clothing would be ready for pick-up the following day. When I picked-up the clothing a day later, I noticed the embroidery needed some very minor adjustments. So Leo asked me to wait at the shop for a few minutes so he could complete the proper adjustments to the embroidery. Once again, service was very fast and all of the work was completed to my satisfaction. Great customer service! Everything looked fantastic! Thank you to Leo! LOCATION. Leonardo's Tailor Shop is located in a street level business strip at the corner of Baker Street and Enterprise Street in Costa Mesa (see photos from my past review). I highly highly recommend Kaya Bridal for any dress alterations! I went to another seamstress first and she told me my dress was not alterable. This was not acceptable to me because I bought my dress from a designer overseas who I met in New York for a custom fitting. I think the designer messed-up the torso measurements and I was unable to close the back. As a custom made dress, I could not return it or go back to the designer for alterations. I was so worried after the first seamstress told me the dress could not be fixed! Thank you Kaya Bridal for saving my dress and helping me have the PERFECT wedding day! I came in to get a dress altered for a friend's engagement party and the experience was 10/10. The consultation was free, and the seamstress listened to what I wanted while offering her own expert ideas. We hemmed the length and brought in the sides of the skirt to give it a more fitted, flattering look around my legs. She even suggested cleaning up the back corset area to make it look neater. The price was very reasonable, the environment was comfortable, and she is so incredibly friendly and talented. I'll definitely be back for future events. read more

When they finished pinning, they asked me to dress and then we finally discussed price. I was quoted $800 and was asked to prepay in full, in cash or check. This was not mentioned before the appointment at all. When I said I was not ready to pay today, she showed me other clients' pre-paid invoices to encourage me and let me know that this is what she asks of everyone. I ended up leaving my dress with her and had to set a time to come back and drop off the cash. I talked with my mom about what happened on my way home from the appointment, as I felt a bit uneasy about what had just happened and she agreed with me. So, I contacted Dorie to tell her I'd like to come pickup my dress to get other quotes for the alterations. I stated I could come at our already scheduled time or sooner. What followed was several days of pushback, with messages about how many brides come back to her, screenshots of 5-star reviews, offers of a discount (which was not mentioned before) a "sleep on it, relax" message, and a follow-up offering to split payment in half (which I asked about and had been told that was not an option, it was prepay only). I picked up my dress without incident, there was another bride there so Dorie's husband helped me get my gown back into the garment bag. I thought that was that but received another review screenshot two days later, at which point I blocked her number. Too much of a hard sell for me. I've since found another seamstress who did a full consultation with me discussing price and options to figure out what I liked best, and making sure I did want to go forward with her services, before putting a single pin in my gown. This is what I was expecting to have happen with Dorie based on all the great reviews but that was not my experience.
