I brought my mom and best friend. We all sat down and she asked what I want to look and feel like in my dress, if I have an idea of what I want (shape, fabric, color, etc), if I've tried any dresses on already, and my price range. We got to browse and point out any dresses for Erin to pull while she went all around pulling any dress she thought I might like. Erin clipped me in so well that I didn't have to tug and adjust the dress while seeing how I liked it. For each dress I got to walk out to the pedestal and check myself out in the mirror and lighting. For each dress, she asked how I felt in it, what I liked, what I didn't like, what I would change... and this all helped her narrow down which dresses to try on or others to grab to add to the list. I got to try different veils (which I didn't know I wanted and it totally completed the look, so now I'm getting a veil) and even go to different lighting to see what natural lighting would look like on the sparkles too. When I found the dress, I got to participate in the Mon Amie tradition of making a wish for myself, my fiancé, and my marriage, then ring the bell and celebrate! Measurements were taken and a detailed contract was written up with pricing and a quote for alterations. Parking was easy & there is a bathroom in the back! There was a ginormous selection of dresses of all fits, fabrics, and styles.

Unfortunately, my presentation appointment this past weekend was very different. I invited my maid of honor and future mother-in-law since it was just my mom and I during my initial dress shopping appointment. I expected a similar, celebratory moment, but it felt more like a quick errand. We were placed in a small back room, the appointment felt rushed, and there was little of the hospitality I experienced before. The biggest issue was trying on my dress. It didn't fit, which was stressful and disappointing, but obviously no one's fault. That said, I wish the staff had taken a more discreet and thoughtful approach, like adjusting or clipping the dress before bringing my guests in. Instead, my guests were brought in while the dress was visibly unfastened, and the conversation focused on fit issues. I was also asked about my weight in front of everyone, which felt uncomfortable and could have been handled more privately. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially compared to such a strong first impression. I still love my dress and hope this was just a one-off, and that the alterations process will be more positive. I'd just recommend managing expectations and not treating the presentation appointment as a special occasion for guests.

Every time she asked for a change, they refused, saying it would change the designer's intention regardless of how it fits on the bride, and they kept threatening her with rush fees for any further modifications. A dress should be altered to fit the bride, not to preserve the designer's work. 1 month before our wedding they had screwed up her dress, so we had to find another bridal shop last minute and pay extra fees to make sure it would be ready in time. They refused to refund her money and told her to take the unaltered dress or they would toss it, which I found very rude. My fiancé was left in tears and under enormous stress dealing with this shop. I would strongly discourage anyone from buying their dress here.

The seamstress who worked on my dress was super sweet and experienced - the hem was perfect, the bodice fit so well I never worried about having to adjust my dress despite it being off-the-shoulder, and the American bustle held up super well (even me jumping around the dance floor couldn't do any damage). Their hours were a little unclear online and I had to wait a couple days for a response at times (usually because they were still waiting on something), but overall a wonderful experience!

Their website indicated that I needed to call rather than book this type of appointment online, but no one answered. I then texted and received no response. I followed up again, still received no response, and ultimately had to text a third time the day of before someone finally replied to tell me they were fully booked. That was completely understandable. I asked whether I could simply stop in to browse the available samples instead. I was offered a time that same day at 2:30 and told I could come in for approximately 30 minutes to look at the samples. I rearranged my entire afternoon and postponed visiting another bridal store so I could be there at the agreed-upon time. When I arrived, I began looking through the gowns. An employee approached me and abruptly told me that I could not be there without an appointment. I explained that I had been told to come at 2:30 to browse the samples. Rather than welcoming me or checking the messages, she responded in a dismissive way and said that she was already assisting another bride. OK, no problem. I really didn't need help just to browse. Another employee then came over, and the first employee told her that I claimed to have an appointment but did not. I again explained that I had just been communicating with the store by text. After asking my name and checking the messages, they confirmed that someone had, in fact, told me I could come in. At that point, no one apologized for the confusion or for the way I had been spoken to. I was left to navigate gowns that felt scattered throughout the boutique with almost no guidance. When I looked at certain dresses, I was abruptly told that I could not view them because they were part of a trunk show. I eventually found a sample gown I genuinely liked that appeared to be close to my size. When I asked for information about it or whether I could try it on, I was simply told I would have to come back because no one was available. It would've taken no time for them to pull it off the rack and allow me to try it on without wasting my time to have to drive an hour in for one single dress. It would've been a courteous thing to do and I was only there for about 10 minutes before I located it and it was the only one that worked. At least come over and offer me the courtesy of giving me some information. The girl was literally just sitting at the desk. I had a friend there also who could've helped me if I needed someone to zip it up. I really just wanted to check it out while I was there and honestly would have bought it on the spot if it worked. Again I don't have much time. I understand that bridal boutiques operate by appointment and that the store was busy. My issue is that I followed the instructions I was given, arrived at the exact time they offered me, and was then treated as though I had shown up uninvited and was inconveniencing them. The communication beforehand was extremely difficult, and the attitude I encountered once I arrived was dismissive and unnecessarily rude from the sales girl especially, the girl at the front desk was not rude, but she wasn't helpful. Wedding-dress shopping should feel exciting and welcoming. Even a simple congratulations, a friendly explanation, or an apology for the misunderstanding would have completely changed the interaction. I was prepared to spend upward of $10,000 on a gown, but regardless of someone's budget, every bride deserves to be treated with basic kindness and respect. The boutique itself is smaller than I expected and, in my opinion, the sample selection was not organized in a way that made browsing easy without assistance. I actually liked one of the gowns, but the experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would rather purchase elsewhere. Other brides may have a better experience during a formally scheduled appointment, but based on how this situation was handled and how I was personally treated, I would not return.

Instead of just leaving it at that, they offered to order the dress in my size and preferred color with just a $100 deposit. About a week later, they texted me to let me know the dress had arrived and helped me set up another appointment to try it on. My stylist, Stephanie, was absolutely AMAZING. She was so sweet, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. She helped me try different veils with each dress, showed me the various sleeve options, and made the whole experience feel so fun and stress-free. They're even storing my dress for me until I'm ready to start the alterations process, which was such an unexpected bonus! We started off by browsing the store and picking a few dresses, and Huong also recommended a few as well based on my vision. My mom and sister had fun being able to go through the selection and suggest some dresses. I came in knowing I wanted to try on a specific dress and Huong made sure to find it for me! Throughout the whole process I felt so comfortable and supported by Huong. I just want to thank her for being so patient and kind to me. She helped me get in to each dress and never made me feel like I was a bother even though we tried on so many dresses! And she even saved the dress I came in to try on for last, just so that I could be sure that there wasn't something unexpected that I ended up liking. When I finally did try on the one, I felt so relieved that I finally found my dress! Also side note, this was actually a rescheduled appointment because I had a family emergency happen the day before my first appointment, but they were so kind, understanding, and even remembered it the day of my rescheduled appointment weeks later. Unfortunately, the cost to repair it was more than the luggage so it couldn't justify fixing it, but there was a row of luggage that people had brought in ready to get repaired so this is the place to do it if you have a luggage you love and willing to spend the money to fix it. I would give the Customer Service here five stars. The interaction was very trustworthy and casual and I know they would have done a great job and stood by their workmanship.

WTH? this is standard tailoring to remove the labels without damage. I took the REPLACEMENT suit to Genie, AND showed her the other ruined jacket. Genie said she had formerly worked for Nordstroms (maybe I should have focused on "formerly") She also said the holes could not be repaired. She agreed to alter my NEW REPLACEMENT suit, and to take care removing the labels. I picked up the suit after 2 weeks and decided to check it first. SHE CUT A HOLE IN THE SLEEVE TO REMOVE THE LABEL! Unbelieveable! When I tried to point this out to her, she waived me aside with a "get out of here" back of her hand. I have sent her a demand letter and if no response, off to court we go. It is the only way that you can get merchants to pay attention to the customers. The attitude was appalling, she ruined my suit and was mad at me! I must also note that she wanted to shorten the sleeve from the arm hole- DON'T EVER DO THAT, the sleeve never fits correctly. I know, it is a big pita to remove the sleeve buttons, and put new button holes on, but that is what tailors are supposed to do.

Since he runs a one-man shop, he can get busy, but he always delivers quality work. I genuinely recommend him if you're looking for someone skilled and reliable.

Very bad customer service. I took my pants there for trimming and it was not done correctly and…read morestill was 2-3 inches long. I took it back to correct it but the owner called and accused me that's not the same pants I took there and then he said I am lying !!!!. I am a petit person and I always alternate my clothes and this was the first time I went to this shop and why do I need to lye about a pair of pants !!!! He was very unprofessional and did not offer me to fix it the right way. When I got upset he hung up the call and left. These people do not speak English well and lack of communication is very high there. I will not go back again. In general not even one star.

Had a really unfortunate interaction with the seamstress. I brought in a dress to see if she could…read moreremove the lining. She explained that she'd have to open up the dress to do it and expressed that it would be "very difficult". I asked if she could just cut out the lining without having to open it up and she said yes. I then went on to ask if she could clean up the fraying all over the sleeves. she said it would take too much time and I should just do it, which is a wild thing to say to a customer coming in for a service. I asked her how much it would be to remove the lining from the dress and she quoted me $100, which is also insane, and reiterated that she would have to open up the dress even though we just decided that she wasn't going do that. I was like, oh OK nevermind, and she says yeah you should just do it the way you want it to be done. WOW. OK. I had another dress that I was going to talk to her about, but i just gathered up my items and walked out. I'm so confused why you would have an alteration business and ask a customer to do their own alterations?? Clearly she didn't want me as a customer. I don't really know why, I wasn't rude or impolite. very unfortunate experience.

I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Grace Tailoring, located across from South Coast Plaza. If I could give zero stars, I would. Worst tailoring experience I've ever had. I recently moved to the area and needed a reliable tailor for a huge music video shoot. I brought in two gowns for alterations with a strict deadline of three days, which they confirmed was "absolutely no problem." They said they were "easy jobs" * One gown needed to be taken in slightly from the back. * The other, a beaded gown, had a small hole on the hip that needed to be sewn. On the day of my video shoot, I picked up my gowns, only to find that the beaded gown was completely untouched, except for several safety pins still in place--meaning they charged me just to hang it up and give it back without doing anything! My other gown was taken in way too tight, making it unwearable. This left me in a panic on the day of my shoot, forcing me to spend additional money on a new dress last-minute because they failed to complete the job they were paid $200 to do. (Which by the way they didn't share that price at the time but instead sprung it upon me at pickup) I immediately called them, and they told me to come in for a refund. However, when I arrived, they changed their story and only offered me $30 back--a complete slap in the face after their failure to do the job. When I refused to accept that, the owner's son became hostile, unprofessional, and outright aggressive, screaming at me that they wouldn't refund my money and that it was my fault for requesting a rush order--despite them confirming they could do it on time. Things escalated when he insulted me, yelled at his own mother to make me leave the store, and even called me "trash" for demanding a full refund for a service they never provided..... It's clear that this is the way they make money off of people. I have never been treated so poorly by a business, let alone one that failed to do the job I paid for. They scammed me out of $200, wasted my time, ruined my music video shoot, and then treated me like garbage for calling them out on it. The mother seemed like she wanted to do what was right yet the son urged her to do the opposite . I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau, and I highly recommend that no one trust this place with their garments. They lack professionalism, integrity, and basic customer service. With business practices like this, I know for sure they will stay open for much longer. Do yourself a favor--take your tailoring needs elsewhere. Unless you like losing money & being disrespected.
