I had 2 pairs of pants from Uniqlo get work done here and cost me $154. I had the hem length and waistband taken in. And it cost me more than the purchase of both pants! I don't think I'll be able to afford these services again unfortunately, as I do need frequent alterations. His team does a really great job though. He tried telling other yelp users that i lost weight (I did not. I'm fit, keep a steady weight and returned one week after taking measurements) and that's why it didn't look right. After pointing this out he feigns indignation and kicks me out. He chopped up my suit jacket so bad I left it and the pants on the floor at his feet. Jacket looked so bad we didn't even get into how bad the pants came out. absolutely do NOT come here. i wanted to try this place based on their quick service and positive reviews since i needed an alteration for my wedding dress. i came in today to pick up my dress and was disappointed to find that my dress was now too big. there was lots of extra fabric and a hole in the lace was not fixed when i received it. i pointed those things out and one of their seamstress's said she would try and "fix it". she pinned where the alterations needed to go and when i took it off i notice there was blood stains on my dress. she said she hurt her finger and that's why there was blood on it. she didn't offer to get it out and instead told me to get it dry cleaned. her attempt at fixing the hole in the lace was horrendous and ended up sewing the top and bottom layers together. she still rang me up as full price and told me to speak with her manager the following day if i had a problem with what she was charging. $160 later and now i have a butchered, blood stained wedding dress... read more

The guy is so rude he kicked us out on the day of the wedding because we came back to fix the job he did and he claims that his job is not wrong. When I bought my suit it used to fit me fine but now it doesn't even fit me. All I wanted is a little off the pants and on the jacket shoulders. I needed some pants taken in in the leg area and the crotch area was super baggy. I honestly wouldn't even think that this could be possible, since I rarely go and get things altered. If I do, it's only a to shorten the length of my pants since I am a shorty. Robert's alterations were able to take an extremely wide leg pant and saggy crotch and make it a perfect fit for me. I cannot stress enough to stay away. I had a pair of dress pants for my wedding that I needed altering. I had them mark them up two weeks prior to today. I went in two separate times for corrective alterations. The third time today they were still wrong- I asked what the deal was as one of my legs was skin tight and the other was how it should've been. Robert gave me attitude and said "you came in here at 5 pm and you're expecting me to fix it?" I came in at 4:30 and he had to re alter it, for a fourth time. It was still wrong. He told me that my "leg must have gotten bigger" - he did admit he took way too much out. His business practices are awful, and I leave in two days for my wedding. We were able to pull 3 of the 4 items and a tailor in newport did the jobs expertly for 40% less. The 1 item - a men's dress shirt - was already tailored by Roberts team and after Roberts 20% coupon discount, the dress shirt (sleeve and collar adjust) tailoring job cost $150. I received the absolute worst service here. My mom came with me and said we should try this place out. Robert LOOKS like a nice and decent man, but he is far from it. I took some work pants here and asked him if he had any experience with the type of hem I needed done and he said yes. I went back to pick them up and they were a disaster. He stated I could come to pick them up the next day and they would be ready. To my surprise they were ready. I wore them to work the next day and the whole seam was falling apart while I was wearing them at work. I could not believe it. The next day I went with my mom to pick up some dry cleaning I had left and to mention to him what happened. My mom and I were very upset and wanted to let him know that this was third time we were back for this specific pants in one week. What happened next was shocking. He had the audacity to put his hand in my mom's face. He then went on to ask me if I wanted him to fix them. My mom said another few words and again he put his hand in my mom's face to shut her up and said, "I am not talking to you. I am talking to her." I said "No, I just want to pick up my dry cleaning." Robert came back with my dry cleaning and said, "Here is your dry cleaning, you can go somewhere else." My mom and I left in disbelief that someone who has his own business could have such HORRIBLE customer service and could be so DISRESPECTFUL. This was the worst experience(((( Do not bring your suit for alternation! Do not order a bespoke spoke suit from him either! I brought a $5500 Brioni suit for alteration and it didn't work as you'd expected. In addition, I ordered working buttonholes. They lost Extra Button, a Gimp, Silk threat on a spindle that was enough to sew the buttons. The buttons and holes were sewn with a cheap synthetic-like threat. On top of that, buttons were sewn crosswise as children might do. I ask Robert personally, where is the gimp and extra button but he doesn't know what the gimp is. So I didn't want to explain to a tailor what it was. Obviously, you cannot expect good service if someone doesn't have the expertise for that. There was also Isaia shirt that altered poorly with uneven sleeve length. It's just a joke((( Buttons were re-sewn and the shirt sleeves were redone as well. Disappointed! read more

We are so happy with the quality of the work that was done. We needed curtains for a 13 foot opening and pretty much everyone told us it couldn't be done unless the curtains met in the middle. We wanted a pool from just one side which made it slightly more difficult. We took 240 inch long curtains that were 108 inches high and had them sewn together and then re-cut for a 13 foot space and a 5 foot space to make use of the full 240 inches. They got the curtains done in just a few days and we love working with them on our projects. read more
