I've had a few shirts, a suit, and a sport coat altered, and I have to say, this gentleman is an expert. This is a skill that is quite specialized--I'm happy to have someone in the area like this. read more

I've been in a lot more since my last review! Had a custom sash added to my wedding dress that was perfect! Have taken in more jeans too and always get them back looking like they weren't even hemmed! read more

I love this place!!! Ando, the owner, has worked on several pieces for my son. I drive all of the way from Lincoln because I know the quality of work is worth it. My son always receives compliments on how nice his dance costumes look. Thank you Ando for continuously exceeding our expectations! read more

I've had my suit coat adjusted so I don't pop my buttons when I wear it and now it fits perfectly! Also had my wife's leather coat inner lining resown after a pretty good tear, and now it is as good as new. Great job! read more

Ando is hands down one of the best tailors in Sacramento! He takes the process of tailoring a pair of pants or a shirt to a whole other level. It is a science to Ando because he has been doing it for so long and he will fit any garment exact to your body type and style. My body type does not allow me to buy fitted jeans or pants straight off the rack, when I found Ando he was able to give me advice on what to look for and buy and then bring in to him to get the desired look I was searching for. I recommend Ando to everyone who needs tailoring done! read more

Ando is pretty awesome. In the past I have had him hem some fairly expensive jeans and the work is impeccable. This week I went in with the oldest pair of jeans I own. They are 10 years old with holes everywhere. My husband told me to give them to Goodwill, but I just couldn't part with them. For a very reasonable price, Ando reinforced the jeans! The holes were huge and now you can't even tell where they were. These jeans will hold up for another 20 years the way he fixed them. He spent a lot of time on them and the work is meticulous. The guy is really great at what he does. Thanks ANDO!!! read more

This is probably the best tailor shop in town. The owner is extremely nice, he's willing to help and give advice even if you're not buying anything. I've brought him a couple pieces of clothing and every single piece has been tailored perfectly. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a tailor. read more

I was referred to Ando at Designer Tailor by a friend when I needed a couple zippers looked at on my son's pants. I usually went to another tailor in the area but I went to Ando and I can say I will be a loyal customer to him. He was friendly and took care of my clothing issue swiftly and didn't try to sell me a service I didn't need. Go see Ando! read more

Ando is very accommodating! He provided me with all that I needed and more in a very short amount of time. I am normally hesitant when getting dresses tailored, but Ando did an excellent job and I will definitely be back next time I need something done. If you're looking for something quick and well done, I suggest Designer Tailor. read more

Excellent work. Fair price. Ando has the greatest jeans for women--they look good with more spandex than usual, so always a PERFECT fit and they feel great. read more

Excellent service! Ando is a genious. He took a my vow renewal dress that was about 4 sizes too big and fitted it perfectly. And in 9 days. He is so talented and made me feel like a princess. Ando gave exceptional and personable service. The quality of his work is remarkable. I couldn't believe how wonderful and fast he was. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for alterations big or small. I will be a customer for life. :) read more

Best I have found. Great prices, delivers on promises, great suits! I highly recommend it.

My father gave me a leather jacket that he used to wear that fit me perfect and it is very sentimental to me. I don't know how it happened, but I noticed it had a slight rip on one shoulder and I didn't want it to get any bigger. Ando fixed it perfectly and I know I will wear this jacket for many years. Thank You So Much Ando - I will definitely be back. Mick Casey read more

Ando recently saved the day for me when I brought in an altered mother-of-the-groom dress from another tailor that had not been properly fitted. Given the special occasion I was quite upset, but he immediately knew what to do and turned the alteration around quickly to meet my deadline and at an unbelievably low price. I am so thankful I found Designer Tailor and will definitely be taking my business here in the future, and referring family/friends! read more

Ando recently altered my wedding dress and a few other dresses for me. He was so kind and helpful. His work is top notch and I'll be going back there soon I'm sure! read more

Had a couple suit jackets altered here. It took a couple weeks but they came out perfect. I'll be a repeat customer.

Really a great place to have alterations done. On time, affordable, and great quality.

I have taken various items for alteration/repair to this business. I've been highly pleased! The owner is friendly and priced reasonably. I've never been disappointed with the work he has done. I would definitely recommend for fast, easy and friendly service. read more

Local, professional, and courteous. Willing to help me out as soon as I asked without any hassle or awkwardness. Not only a tailor but a small shop! read more

I asked Ando to shorten and cuff one pair of pants. They also needed taking-out at the waist. (Actually, he was one of three tailors that I "auditioned," as I had about a dozen pair of pants that were in need of various adjustments.) His work was good (at first, he wasn't sure if he could still put a cuff on them after they were shortened, but he was able to do so, to my pleasant surprise----at the outset, he did offer a straight, no-cuff leg at no charge if he was unable to cuff them), but I have other issues with his service. He is polite but is also quite brusque and somewhat dismissive in his conversation. There's no warmth to the man. And it was almost as if anything that I said about what I wanted didn't matter to him. It was as if he knew what he wanted to do to my pants and there was no need for any of my input. Which may be true, but it still was not a good feeling. I tried to make small talk with him at a couple of junctures, but he was having none of it. And I felt a bit rushed. I don't have thin skin, yet I was more than a little uncomfortable with his manner. Also, when he was bagging-up my pants as we were finishing the transaction and I was about to leave, he first put them on a hanger. Then he bent down and OFF THE FLOOR grabbed a piece of clear plastic to drape over the pants and hanger. Which instantly disgusted me. When I got to my car, I just happened to see the backside of the covering plastic, and there I was able to behold a rather gaping hole. So, a potentially-dirty piece of plastic covering (my pants were brand-new and clean, by the way) with a large hole in it. Is this the kind of service I should be expecting for my $ 40 ? I won't be seeing him again. I would have given him fewer than 2 stars but for the quality of the work itself. I should mention that of the three tailors I tried out, the best to my mind was over at Bellissimo on Greenback. Ana is very competent, quite pleasant to deal with, takes her time to get it right, i.e., what the customer wants, and she listens. Plus, I walk in and the sounds of jazz flow out of her studio's speakers !! Hey, what's not to like ? Jack from Fair Oaks read more

Ando is incredible! It only took him about 15 minutes to get me measured and I had my suit back in a week and it fits amazingly. He is extremely professional, skilled, and courteous. His prices are competitive with any big box store and his work is superior. There may not be many reviews here but there's a reason he's the best on Yelp for the area. read more

First time visiting a tailor. Ando was wonderful! He made the whole experience great and made my clothes look even better! Not only did he completely reshape a pair of old baggy slacks, I ended up buying a suit (my main reason for seeing Ando) which my wife was really happy to see me wear. And everything was reasonably priced. I won't be going anywhere else for my future tailoring needs. Cheers. read more

Found Ando today after going into my long time tailor and being completely blown away by the price I was going to be charged to add a piece to a dress I purchased. Ando worked with me on the price and I ended up saving 15 dollars. That's a lot for one garment in savings! Glad I found him. He did a lovely job with my simple fix and I am very pleased with his work. Thank you Ando! read more

I'm extremely happy with the alterations made to my wedding dress! I brought my dress in last weekend, and Ando had it ready for me today, 2 days earlier than indicated on my pick-up ticket. It looked amazing, and he had it pressed, ready to wear. I will definitely be back if I need alterations in the future. read more

Very talented tailor ! I had a custom sewing job needed on a bicycle helmet strap for a prototype. He hand sewed me the project within 30 minutes and charged a very reasonably fee. The work was of the highest quality. I Highly recommend him for any tailor services. read more

Ando is amazing! I brought a dress that I had bought online to wear at my son's wedding in Hawaii. The fit was so tight across my rib cage I knew I'd be miserable. It was made in such a way that the seams were hidden and the dress would need to be opened up to even get to the seams. I could not return the dress so I took it to Ando. He was calm, reassuring and knows his business! Less than a week later, the dress was made perfect! It took the time to worry how I hung it in the car and showed me how to steam it if it gets wrinkled on the trip to Hawaii. I am so happy to have found him and right here!! Price was so very fair. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford a Tailor, Think again!! He will solve your fitting problems if anyone can. He can order suits for men and has some stocked in his shop as well. I'm taking my husband in to his shop as he's never had clothes that fit him "right." Thanks again, Ando!! We will be back! read more
