They were really rude an put us out u only have 2 hours to eat or u can't eat but no where on tge website say that. My sister had a dinner party we were waiting on the rest of the party to arrive an they told us we had to wrap it up an leave the waitress was very very rude he took my drink back because we didn't have time. We got there at 5pm at 5:55pm they said we can not order we need to leave they have another reservation at 7pm for the table. So basically we couldn't order food left starving. read more

Took my mom and her partner here for a low key Monday night birthday dinner. We specifically asked to be seated in a quiet section and they were wonderful about accommodating that request. While the food and the restaurant in general are very nice, the management is extremely disagreeable and not at all customer friendly. We had a gift card from Bercy, the former restaurant, which we had been told several times would be honored but were informed tonight that the card would no longer be accepted. This was after we had checked with our waiter and had been assured that the card was still good. The owner/ manager told me that he had honored those cards for a year and that he would no longer accept the gift card we had. In spite of the fact that Covid restrictions had prevented our use of the card, he continued to insist that he would not honor the credit. So he was using his position to completely negate the money that had been paid for the gift card initially. What kind of person does this? The restaurant had a handful of patrons. Perhaps the fact that steaks are $60 - $120 has something to do with that. So, charging $60 for a steak is perfectly fine, but taking away the credit that people had previously paid is ok. After all, he had accepted them for year, as he told me, and I guess I was supposed to be impressed with that. I am not. I will never return to this establishment. read more

Great choice without the hassle of the city. There are plenty of options for parking in the surrounding area and less worry walking around at night. The location itself is nice and has the typical city steakhouse ambiance (old bank) to it. We had an early reservation and were greeted by an energetic hostess. Our server was attentive and eager to ensure that our experience was pleasant. Cocktails (old fashioned), appetizers (meatballs) and salads (Cesar) tasted great. The main course (filet, ribeye) were also very good. Definitely one of the better steaks that I've had outside of the city. It's worth checking out if you're looking for something local. read more

We entered De Paul's early on a Friday evening, and the bar area was already filled with a vibrant crowd. We were taken to a table upstairs to the mezzanine of this former bank. The architecture and design are strikingly beautiful, and the service is warm and friendly. Our waiter Josh gave us an overview of the menu, and we ordered wine while deciding about dinner. We started with Irish Point Oysters from PEI, which had a delicious, creamy brine. The next course was the Bone Marrow, which was the only disappointment. There was very little marrow on one of the two bones, and the dish lacked seasoning in spite of the garlic crumbs. We shared the delicious 28 day Dry Aged Delmonico steak, which they cut and plated for us before it came to the table. We also ordered the Truffle Fries and the Lobster Mac & Cheese, both delicious. Unfortunately, I am not able to write a review about the food because waiting 45min for a table was extremely unacceptable. While inquiring about our reservation, we were consistently told it would be "another 5 min". The manager of the hostess stand was rude when approached and never even acknowledged our presence as we stood in front of her for 45 + minutes. This place is superb all around. Their drinks are fantastic and the food is great as well. We had a really attentive waiting staff and his recommendations were on point. Everything that we ordered their was top notch and came out right away without a long wait. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the 8oz filet with shrimp and a mushroom sauce (thumbs up). Just finished dining here this evening for our 4-year anniversary. I don't write reviews often, but felt compelled to today, as this was the best dining experience I've had since COVID shutdowns began 2+ years ago. Kevin, our waiter, was wonderful - charming, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly without being overbearing - everything you want in a server. The food was outstanding (crab cocktail, lobster bisque, bone marrow, filet, sea bass, garlic mash, etc). FOH staff clearly worked as a well-oiled machine to keep everyone happy. The owner also stopped by our table to check on everything which was a nice touch and virtually unheard of anymore. We will definitely be returning even though we live 45 mins away, and already recommending to our friends and family. read more

Just left Happy Hour at DePaul's Table in Ardmore, PA. Can't say enough good things about it. Anthony and his staff (shoutout to Lynn, Paul and Madison behind the bar) are incredible. They seemed to know what we wanted even before we did. We had delicious appetizers and cocktails. We sampled the charcuterie board and cauliflower dishes. So many wonderful flavors in both dishes. But the absolute best part of the meal were the chocolate cake and cheesecake slices Anthony sent over to us. To DIE for. We think Johnny is one of the greatest servers on this planet, but he was working the first floor only, and we could not sit there because the noise and the horrible, loud music were unbearable, completely the opposite of what you would expect at a fine dining, very expensive restaurant like DePaul's Table. Same thing as in previous visits. And as it turned out, it was way too loud on the second floor also. We could hardly hear each other talk. If you insist on music, how about something that does not blast the eardrums? The food is usually good but super-expensive. The server did not mention the prices of the specials, although they should. You feel cheap if you ask. I had the "special" seafood entree, the Chilean sea bass. I have had it dozens of times in other restaurants. it is always mild and sweet, but here it was firm, more like tuna, and not particularly flavorful. And the surprise price of $53 was ridiculous! The smoked Old-Fashioned cocktail had a big ice cube and very little drink, way overpriced at $16. I don't eat meat, but my wife and sister-in-law had "sliders," which they have liked very much in the past but did not like at all this time. A suggestion: How about putting groups with very small children in one designated area or in the separate room upstairs? We were surrounded last night by three tables, all of which had screaming children. One kid kept rolling around the floor, right where servers walk with food and drinks. The grandparents seemed to think it was cute. With the sky-high prices here, the ambience should not be like McDonald's, with screaming children! Can't these Main Liners who can pay $62 for a 12-ounce steak afford a baby sitter? I have raved about this place in the past except for the deafening noise, so I hate to be a curmudgeon (I have given 5 stars to most of the restaurants I have written about on Yelp), but I read on their website about the alleged valet parking, and the lady on the phone told us they had valet parking, but we have never seen a valet parker when driving up to the front in our visits here. That is false advertising. I know is very, very, very difficult to run a restaurant like DePaul's Table, but when people spend their hard-earned money at a high-end restaurant, they should get what they are paying for. read more

I had a great first experience at this restaurant! I went for Happy Hour with a few friends after one highly recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been to this space since it was an Italian restaurant several years ago and I really loved the new interior. We sat at the bar and had several appetizers and martinis. Everything was delicious! My favorite app was the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls. The bartender was very attentive and friendly and even the owner came over to see if we were enjoying ourselves and the food and drinks. That was very unexpected and we really appreciated it. I already have reservations to go back for dinner at the end of the month to celebrate my nephew's birthday and may even come back before then for a happy hour or two. It's a great addition to Ardmore with a great atmosphere and food. read more

Search no farther for a high end meal in and around Haverford College. Treated the family and this was the best meal we have had in the area. Staff was overly accommodating for us. Table started at reservation for 4 and expanded to table for 12. Service is attentive but not intrusive. Yes bring your billfold because the menu is pricey but the value of the food, atmosphere and experience for your group will be worth all of what you spend. read more

This place is hands down, PERFECTION! From the second you walk in to when you walk out the door. The decor is so elegant. The staff is super welcoming and the food is some of the best we've had. My husband ordered the delmonico and I ordered the lobster cobb and also a side of sauteed mushrooms as well as oysters. We cant wait to go back. It's well worth the 45min drive for us!!! So when going In the restaurant the hostess did not indicate that if you want items from the happy hour you have to sit near the bar. The waitress was very accommodating and may I add wonderful her name was Tanya. However the hostess was right behind me saying that guests that are being reseated are rude and we mess up the flow of things. As someone who has spent 17 years in food service you should know guests can hear you throughout the floor. Yes you can have good food but is the environment welcoming ? So I don't have a dire need to come back or reference this place to any of my colleagues. People are trying to support small businesses during Covid, so guest service should always be number 1 with both parties being respectful !!!! read more

I would not recommend DePaul's Table if you have dietary restrictions, including any less common allergies. When asking how to address vegan guests (I know, this is a steakhouse and so it is a big ask, but one other steakhouses have been able to address in my experience), I was told to look at the menu to see if any dishes would work, then told I could eat the pasta with cream sauce, then told any of the seafood options would be a good. When I explained that none of these were vegan, the manager shared she actually didn't know what being vegan was and asked what I tend to eat to see if the kitchen could make it for me. A nice gesture, but I had expected that an exceptional chef would know how to whip up a vegan dish no problem. (Maybe my expectations are just too high!) The staff also struggled to name key ingredients in at least one other dish that could have resulted in someone in my party having an allergic reaction. This is after we called in advance to discuss allergies and were assured the wait staff would be able to take care of us. I think I'll stick to the city for an inclusive dining experience with my meat loving and food allergy dinner companions. read more

There are not enough stars on the review page to describe how great the dining experience was at DePaul's Table. Every aspect of the evening was taken to the next level. The ambience was reminiscent of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia or NYC. From the welcoming, to the seating, to the service and then the array of food options on the menu, the evening got off to a great start. We began with Shrimp Cocktail and the Roasted Brussels Sprouts for the table. The shrimp was huge but not tough and the Brussels uniquely prepared and were delicious. Our entrees varied from 12 oz and 8 oz Filet Mignon, Short Ribs and Scallops. Every dish was delicious and prepared perfectly. The menu also offered a large variety of Gluten Free options which was important to me as a Celiac paient. This experience was extraordinary and comes highly recommended. I can't wait to return so that I can explore so many of the other enticing menu option. read more

I had visitors visiting from New York and I recommended we go to this restaurant after reading it's reviews, Of all the restaurants both in Phil and NY( where prices are expected to be high especially for excellent high class food), this meal was for me one of the more mediocre I've had. I think a very generous 2 Star rating - Appetizers: shrimp cocktail (4 large shrimp $23) were the worst textured I've ever experienced - it was possibly due to them being not totally defrosted, I'm not really sure - I'm the type of person where complaining to waiter seriously detracts from my experience so I chose not to say anything. We shared a pear salad that was very good. My wife got the lamb chops and was very satisfied. I ordered the Surf and Turf ($115) which came as a very mediocre filet correctly cooked to order and the Lobster was just inedible - never had Lobster taste like 'cotton' - something was way off - so after the terrible shrimp cocktail episode I decided I 'had' to say something about the Lobster. I did and the waitress was very amicable replacing that Lobster with another. The manager also came over to apologize about the Lobster. The replacement Lobster was only slightly better than the 1st but when asked, I told them, "better than the first". I then said to my wife that I'd be happy to come back and try the pasta but never order shrimp or Lobster there again. But then the $300+ bill came (no alcohol) and I was in shock. Nothing to do with the total cost of what we ordered but amazed that there was a $3.00 charge on the bill for "steak sauce". Not a bottle of steak sauce - the waitress asked if we wanted steak sauce with our steak - it came as an ounce or two on the side. What! Are you kidding me? What nerve! Chalking this restaurant up to experience. Never again. read more

Me and my partner have never experienced such horrible treatment in all of the restaurants we have been too! I am appalled and felt humiliated and totally disrespected for expressing an issue with being served a burnt Lobster Tail. We have been to this restaurant at least 4 to 5 times and we normally sit at the bar for Happy Hour drinks and order appetizers. We have complained before about the cooks using way to much salt which of course takes away the flavor of what your actually eating especially the Steak Tips. The OWNER Anthony DePaul at the time was checking to see if everything was ok. We expressed our concerns about the heavy handed amount of salt. I love flavored food, however this was way to salty, and he welcomed any feedback, and next time he said to asked for light salt! "At least that's what he said"! Well that was an out righteous lie! We were there most recently and asked for light salt, well that didn't happen, it was still extremely salty! The last time we was there we decided to try the lobster and we loved it so much that we let the OWNER Anthony know. We have spent hundreds of dollars in his restaurant easily! And when we had expressed our Lobster being burnt more than anything, Anthony the OWNER said that we still had to pay for it! I was taken back as to his negative demeanor and he went on to say YOU CAN GO TO ANOTHER RESTAURANT with a VERY NASTY ATTITUDE, and the way he said it was like we were trying to get over by not wanting to pay for a burnt Lobster Tail that we tried to eat but was to tough to eat. I tried to pull the Lobster apart with my fork and it was so tough my fork slipped from my hand. Me and my partner eat at the most elaborate restaurants such as BUTCHER and SINGER, FOUR SEASONS restaurant, CREED Restaurant, and it's my Birthday at that, so we decided to go to Barclays Prime. So ANTHONY, the OWNER with all disrespect can take your unprofessional and DISREGARD for POOR Customer Service and you will NEVER have to worry about us EVER coming back!!!! And to top it off he seemed racist with his comments like we were trying to get over by not wanting to pay for two burnt Lobster Tails. My girlfriend took me there for my Birthday and felt so hurt and ashamed the way he was addressing her. It was distasteful and so embarrassing to have been treated like we were nothing! I work for one of the Highest prestige Head Courters in the City and money is never an issue. My Partner has her own Construction Business for over 20 years!!! HOW DARE YOU ANTHONY the OWNER talk to us with your RACIST comments! Remember how you treat your customers because KARMA is real!!! We were telling people by word of mouth about your establishment and now I will tell how horrible we were treated. The waitress Grace was awesome. I can tell she felt bad for how we were being treated. She has a kind heart and we tipped her $70.00 bc ANTHONY the OWNER flagged us and quickly walked by our table and said JUST DON'T PAY ANYTHING, and said it like THREE TIMES . Again this was not our intention to not pay for anything. He didn't even suggest to cook the Lobster Tails right! So, I decided to show off some really good pictures of restaurants for our people to go to and not have to worry about a restaurant that is RACIST! Be aware and careful especially if your complaining about the food being burnt etc!! Oh I also added the burnt Lobster Tail that was served to us at DePauls. I'm sure you'll be able to point it out in the photos. I added these extra photos as we were treated with the upmost respect as soon as we walked in and left. This is why these places are still in business doing good because customers are their top priority! So be very careful in treating your customers bad. I should have known from all the bad things I've heard not to come to this place, and of course now I have food poisoning... BEWARE! The octopus was like crotons, steak dry, béarnaise was watery, wedge dressing had the consistency of mayonnaise, calamari was soggy and very sloppy. The Veal Milanese had a chance, until I saw the pre shaved and packaged plastic looking cheese on it that completely ruins the dish. Be better, know better. Wow This place basically looks the same as it did when it was the bercy. I sat at the bar and had a beer. Got cheesteak egg rolls, the meatballs ,the sirloin tips and mashed potatoes. Every one of these - it's like they were all taken to a new level. So much so I tried to come back 2 days later but unfortunately was unable to get a seat at the bar.
