Dent. No. More. I had a weird, fist-sized, fist-shaped dent in my right front fender that appeared one morning, after having been parked on 6th Street in front of my pub. Deep, for a fist, and on the curb side, above the belt line crease on the fender, with no oher damage indicating any mechanical contact, so it really seems like some yahoo actually PUNCHED a parked car. No other damage to the car, that is, though I hope some knee-walking nose-puking legless ninny has a really really bruised set of knuckles as a result. I'm thinking, claim hassle, deductible, paying out of pocket, car tied up for a day or so, and then I searched on paintless dent repair here. Bazinga! Two hours and $150 later and it's just not there. Gone like tacklers from the Longhorns or humor from Woody Allen flicks. Poof. How did I find Dentworks? Oh boy... You know how you get that call on a Saturday night and it happens to be friends from Dallas who are in town for one night? Well, I got that call and decided to make my way downtown for a few drinks and maybe a bite to eat with my girlfriend in tow. During the course of the night, I managed to get a little too drunk to drive and asked my girlfriend if she wouldn't mind handling the keys. She agreed, bless her heart. So, it's 2:30am and we are driving back to Lake Travis I am singing like an idiot in the passenger seat while my girlfriend navigates her way through Westlake along 2244. All of the sudden, there is quite a smack on the side of the car and we are forced to pull over. As we stand there looking at the golf-ball sized dent in the side of the car, a group of guys go running across the street laughing and carrying on. We decided to get on down the road and avoid any further confrontation since I was pretty wasted and didn't want to make matters worse. Further, I am sure I had this coming as the result of all the crap I did as a kid. The next day, I started researching paintless dent removal and found a few different options in Austin. Dentworks had the nicest telephone rep., and they were willing to take my car that same day. I drove right over. I __wish__ I would have taken a picture of the worst one - it was cringe-worthy: a door-ding right on the nice detail line of the passenger door that was about two inches long. (If I only would have seen who did this ridiculous damage! This was not a tap; this was a slam. Grrrrr.) I really expected the guys at Dentworks to let me down softly with a "well, it's not going to ever look good but we can try" but they didn't. Instead, they worked magic. The dent is completely gone (as are the other 5 or so door dings the car has collected - WTF Austin?!?) Much to my dismay, I woke up to find a huge dent in my passenger door. Within that same week, Trey took my vehicle in and had it fixed to near perfection. I was worried I would have to claim it on my insurance and leave it with a body shop for days, but I have my vehicle back and it looks as good as new or as close to new as I imagine anyone could get it. Dentworks fixed my Audi TT to be Dealer New! I recently had a green pickup truck ding the passenger door of my 01 TT. Took my SUV in for a repair as I had been involved in a slight parking lot "bump". The dent was about 3 inches in length and about half an inch wide in the metal on the rear tailgate. There were even paint scratches from the other car in the collision. I also had a door ding on my left side from a previous incident, about 2 inches wide. The scheduling was easy. He told me to bring it back in 3 days after looking at the dents and agreeing that he could do it, and the quote was reasonable ($50 cheaper than another place). 3 days later I went back; he took it in the morning and had it ready that afternoon. No sign of any dents! The paint scratches had been buffed out. Wow! I appreciated the owner's honesty and there was none of this "we had to charge you more because it was harder than we thought" The workmanship was flawless; you would never know that there were any dents. read more

Thane did an excellent job fixing a ding in my drivers side door. My new 2022 Ram truck got a nasty ding in a parking lot. Which was very upsetting. I literally called 15 places in Austin that advertised that they do Paintless Dent Repair, nobody actually did it until I finally got a reference to Dentworks of Austin. I took it by for an estimate the same morning($75.00), they were working on another car but said they could get to it at 2:00 that afternoon. I was back at 2:00, Thane went right to work and 15 minutes later my door looked as good as new, no sign of the ding. All he wanted to charge was $50. I just went in for the first time. I had worked with Brian (RIP...great guy) years ago and called in and talked to Trey. Stopped by today and they fixed a dent in my driver door in about 15 minutes while I waited and for a price that was SO low and way too nice of them to offer so I won't mentioned what it was. I never write reviews, but Troy and the other guy at Dentworks did such a great job I felt I had to. We had hail damage that looked pretty mild and according to our claims adjuster it was. But when I took it in for Troy to inspect he showed me how much more extensive it really was. He worked with the insurance company directly to get the claim amount changed. The work was done in two days and they even took out some door dings that were not part of the hail damage. And to top it off, they gave me a discount on my deductible. My wife's 2012 Mercedes GLK fell victim to a hail storm that hit the Bee Cave/Lakeway area pretty hard. Her car is white and it wasn't easy to see the dings at first, but the day after the storm, you could see her car was covered in small hail dings. Every shop I called suggested filler and repainting panels - this is a big "no no" to me so I wanted to find a reputable 'paintless' dent repair shop. I got an estimate from my insurance company as to the damage and came to see Thane per a recommendation from a family member who had used Dentworks previously. Thane and I had a bit of back and forth to make sure we were both on the same page regarding what my insurance quoted and what they estimate the work to be, but in the end we were both on the same page and I am absolutely stunned by the work that Thane and Dentworks did on my wife's car. I own a few classic cars myself and I can be a perfectionist with the details (I notice every flaw in a car's paint/body regardless of how small) but I was not able to notice any dings or damage of any kind after Dentwork's fixed my wife's car. I would (and probably will be) go back to Dentworks for any future PDR needs I may have and I would recommend them to others. I would not hesitate to travel from Bee Cave to see Dentworks given no shop in the Bee Cave/Lakeway area performs this type of work. read more

Just brought in an old wagon to have them "pop-out" the front, right fender where someone had obviously backed into it and left without taking responsibility . (Counting on karma to catch up with the offender.) Trey did an absolutely perfect job in pushing out the rather large dent and doing his best to keep very old paint (with little remaining elasticity) intact and, in the end, easy for me to get ready to sell. First time for everything! While traveling in the hill country I came across a crew of road kill cleanup buzzards. I gave the typical warning honk and braked. Unfortunately one buzzard thought I wanted to race so it took off down the road..... Sadly to say it quickly became an unwanted hood ornament. Let me preface by saying that I am completely anal about my cars. I accidentally door dinged my car with my other car door. The ding was so hard to see, I sent them emails for an estimate and they could not see the ding. It was probably half a centimeter. In any case, I obsessed over it. I scheduled an appointment and went down there and thought it would take an hour and I brought a book. 10 mins later he told me it was done and I couldn't even tell where the dent was!!!! Tragedy struck a few nights ago. An item fell out of a storage container i was carrying that landed on the hood of my 2015 BMW M4 Convertible and dented it. I was so mad and sad at the same time. The only thought going thru my mind, was thousands of dollars for a new hood, paint, installation. Almost throwing in the towel and conceding defeat, I did some searching for Dent Repair and that is when I found Dentworks! I'll spare you a lengthy story and just say that after an initial meeting and very very modest quote for approximately an hour's worth of work. Trey said come by one day during lunch and we'll take care of the hood and a second minor door ding for you. To be honest, I was more worried about the hood and assumed the door ding wouldn't come out. So two days later, I dropped my baby off with Trey and an hour or so later, she was ready. Trey said that it was 100% back to normal on the hood, but it was much better. When I picked up the car, I honestly couldn't tell where the dent was on the hood or door ding. Trey and the Dentworks team did a FANTASTIC JOB!!!! Moreover, when I went to pay the original estimate, Trey said how about a little less since I didn't get you back to 100%. What more could a customer want. If you have a dent in your car, whether it be small or big, and your worried if your car is a luxury model, exotic, or something not pictured. You can stop your search for a good PDR place. Trey and his team had done some work on a few of my friend's cars with success. Having recently moved into a new home with a steep, short driveway, maneuvering can be tough when entering the garage. Even when at crawl speed, I "kissed" the ladder on the wall of the garage with my front fender and placed a crease-style dent about 3 inches long that ended where my fender did. This type of dent is tough since it goes to the edge. I called Trey and let him know the situation. We set a loose appointment for a Tuesday around 10AM. He insured me he had time and that it would be done same day. When I arrived, the shop was full, but they stuck to their claim. After assessing the dent, Thane let me know that it may not be perfect and that he was his own harshest critic. He explained the complexities of this type of dent. Being that a full repair would be in the $750-range (replace fender, paint, etc.), the idea of paying one-quarter of that for 90%+ fixed was worth it. I dropped the car at 10AM and got a call by 3:30PM. He said it wasn't perfect and wouldn't charge me full price (even though he spent the same amount of time as if it was). I arrived around 5:30PM and my car was out front. Thane walked me through the dent and the finished product. I have a detailing background and a very keen eye for subtle nuances and extreme levels of detail. In all honesty, the dent is 90-95% fixed. Not perfect, but passes the 3-foot test and most would never notice. He felt bad that it wasn't perfect and ended up charging me half of what I was quoted. I made sure he was OK with that, which he was. I insured him that I was happy with the work. In the end, you get the laid-back Austin vibe from the guys at the shop, but at the same time, you know they are artists with their tools. The appointment process was great and they held true to their word with everything. Their pricing is extremely fair and their work is top notch. I would not hesitate to put my stamp of approval on Dentworks and recommend anyone I know to go there. Judging by the rest of the reviews, I am not the only one. read more

I was recommended by another shop to go to Dent Works for a dent in the side of my car that I needed to get fixed before I turned my lease in. He got me in the next day. What an honest, great guy. He fixed the dent so that I couldn't even tell it had been there, but to him - it wasn't perfect. He wouldn't take any money and told me to come back and pay him if the dealership didn't charge me for it. Seriously, who does that? Go to this guy if you need anything - honest perfectionist. Extremely honest group of guys at this shop. I got backed into in a parking lot so I came in to get a quote. Trey, the owner, looked at it and suggested I'd be better off claiming it through insurance and having a body shop fix the panel/repaint it since the dent was so big and deep. In my book this is as honest as it gets since he wanted whats best for my car rather than trying to get some business for himself. He gave me a quote of $250 and we set up an appointment for the next day. This was a surprise since PDR guys are notorious for being busy and requiring at least a weeks notice for an appointment. Plus there was a hail storm recently and his shop seemed pretty busy from those insurance claims. When the car was ready for pickup he said that he couldn't get it perfectly back to normal so he only charged me $200 even though he worked on it all day. I've never been to a shop that came in under the quoted amount like that. Super honest business. Trey and Dentworks will definitely get my future business. Thanks guys! read more

We got an estimate for the March hail damage from Service King for about $4000. Unreal. Dentworks did an excellent job for about $1800. Less than half! Every dent was smoothed out beautifully on our Audi, and I can't wait to see how my bumpy little Subaru turns out. I brought in my 2017 Ford Super Duty that had two really bad dents from another truck door slamming into the passenger side of my truck on a super windy day. One was on the molding line and the other was pretty deep with red paint from the other vehicle. It took these guys two hours and my truck looks brand new again and for a very minimal charge. Noice!!! Got back from Big Bend National Park after a week of RV'ing in late March 2017. I had just purchased a 2017 Ram 3500 Laramie truck for my towables. Anyway, BBNP and Terlingua are very dusty places! Got back to Austin and detailed my truck before parking it in the driveway. My wife bless her heart, goes on to violently open her car door and put a quarter sized door ding in my brand new truck. Needless to say I was shocked when I saw the dent.
