A Caliber tech ripped my dash cam out off my vehicle. Unplugging the device would be a red flag for the quality of work to me, but ripping the hardwired dash cam all the way out of the headliner of my car is just careless. I wouldn't care as much if he had rewired and re-installed my dash cam after roughly tearing it out of my car, but instead failed to return my camera and left the remains of the cord dangling behind the windshield. When I called back to Caliber asking why my dash cam was taken out, the man who answered the phone fibbed something along the lines of taking my camera out for safekeeping, so their technicians wouldn't steal it. 1) I love how much trust Caliber has in their technicians, expecting all of them to have sticky fingers. 2) I had much more valuable personal items left visibly in the car (I wasn't made aware of my vehicle leaving dealership property, so I didn't think to take anything out), and yet only the dash cam was removed, leaving my much more expensive personal items to the fate of the supposed sticky fingered technicians. 3) If my 'expensive' dash cam was truly removed to 'deter theft,' I'd have assumed it would've been carefully removed, with all lengths taken to ensure its safety, with the immediate re-installation right after the completion of the repairs- as opposed to ripping out my property and failing to initially return it. While my car is back into safely drive able condition, my dash cam is broken as the socket no longer holds the camera at a steady angle in front of my vehicle (-$150) and the hidden wire service I had done was destroyed (-$80). This ploy to 'protect' my possessions has now set me $230 back, in addition to the time it will take to get the dash cam replaced and reinstalled. - Caliber also left the car filthy, with footprints on the black carpet and mystery stains on the white leather seats - Took exactly 20 days to complete a single day axle bearing repair. My car was delivered to Caliber on 12/07, I called 12/19 to find they had failed to even order the part. The simple repair wasn't finished until 12/27 This Caliber Collision does fix cars. However, it is not clean, its not honest, it is slow, and it is probably not safe either. read more

Do yourself a favor and ask for Mike Bermudez, the manager at the Caliber Collision, Kramer Lane. He is kind, intelligent, patient and efficient and made a world of difference in my journey the other day. I was very confused about how to submit a State Farm claim after an accident, and worried major damage was going to cost me thousands of dollars.Mike explained to me the benefits of using Caliber Collision, as it is a State Farm Certified Service Center, making their assessment have more weight with State Farm, and creating a seamless, direct payment once the repairs are done. Fortunately, Mike methodically asked me questions about each system of my car I thought was impacted (the radiator, condenser and engine) and was able to suggest exactly how I might best resolve the issues. He knew cars, and even my make and model inside out, and calmed my down by describing the complex workings of the car in laymen's terms. When he described the professional and ethical way your company provideshis services he created a slam dunk that I was going to choose Caliber Collision to repair my Honda Odyssey van. i can't sing adequate praises for Don at the Calliber Collision on Kramer Lane in Austin, TX. His customer service has been impeccable both times I have my had my vehicle's body work done at this particular location!! Don thoroughly inspected my car for damages, wrote quotes which were readily accepted by the insurance company, and called me every few days to give me progress on the service! At the end, he inspected my Mazda to make sure that the items on the list were completed correctly!! I had a molding piece which had been on backorder from the car dealership. It had finally arrived right before my car needed body work. I asked Don if his team could install this molding piece, and I'd pay for it separately. He said they could do that. When I arrived to pick up my car, I received a BIG surprise! Don had arranged for the molding piece to be installed at NO CHARGE Not only do I greatly appreciate Don's expertise in the bid, quality assurance, and communication areas, I am truly grateful for his ever-present positive attitude and his kind, respectful customer care. Not all Caliber Collisions are created equal. The Kramer location is my favorite, so much so that I drive past two other Caliber Collisions just to take my car to this one. Ginger, who handled my initial phone intake, was as sweet as can be. I don't know where you find someone like Ginger, but that's someone you keep around! Miranda was especially helpful during my check-in and check-out process. Crystal was my claims adjuster, and she was great at assessing the damages on my car, texting and calling me with updates, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. Overall, my car came back as good as new, ahead of schedule (!), and they even took the time to give the outside a nice wash! Thank you to all the hard-working staff at Caliber Collision at Kramer. This place is awesome! I had some issues with fred loya but enrique was helping me the whole time. I left my car on there on monday and they got it fixed by friday as promised. Right when i was bout to picking it up. i saw that the door handle was not completely mint. I pointed it to Enrique , he saw it and was cool with it and asked me to bring it back next week. I setup an another appointment. and because of the inconvenience they shuttled me back home and picked me back up. I still found like a little bubble, Enrique brought it back and talked to their manager and the manager agree that that is not spot on. So they will work on it again! I interacted with Zack Callaway when I took my vehicle there to be fixed from an auto accident. Although hit in the back the front windshield cracked from the severe collision. Where the crack began showed it wasn't from a rock ding but the body flexing from impact. Zack took it upon himself to conclude the front window breaking wasn't from the accident which slowed my insurance payment. The car had been at my mechanic a few days prior and the windshield wasn't cracked and my mechanic looking at it also concluded the window was broken from the collision. In working with my insurance company he was able to get them to pay for the broken window. Zack was not competent enough to draw a proper conclusion about the cause of the accident, and it was not his place to put himself in the middle of this in the first place. What the insurance company was going to pay was between me and the insurance company. When you are dealing with the wrecked car the last thing you need from the repair company is them working incompetently against your interest. read more

Less then 1800 miles on my '17 Focus, hitting a full size spare @75ish-mph on the Toll Road, just about ruined my day...actually it did. It was harder telling the wife about it when I got home then the whole experience. This happened just before Thanksgiving, so the insurance and I agreed to wait till after the fact to begin the process...after all, it was a miracle it was still drivable and since this is our vacation/weekend car it could wait. I had already settled on a shop that I have dealt with in the past, and did good work, regardless of the "not" so good reviews on Yelp. But having the whole weekend I decided to do a bit of Yelping. And Im really glad I did. Although this Caliber Location only had a handful of reviews, they are all stellar. And being they were on the List of companies my insurance dealt with, it made the process go a lot faster. No need for a claim worker to look at the car, before approval. Enrique was my contact person at Caliber. Young, but very professional and kept in contact thru out the whole deal, including a call just before they closed, when I first dropped it off, to give me a basic run down on damage done. Only took 5 days start to finish to get everything done and my new car, was new again. The front of house staff did a great job of explaining the warranty and Enrique walked me thru repairs. This place is amazing, I had a small accident on a Friday and they were able to get me in on the following Monday! They told me that with it being a holiday on Friday they would probably take until the following week but my car was ready on Thursday evening! The staff was great and so helpful, I never thought this would be an easy process but they truly made this a stress free time for me. They also work with farmers who my insurance is through and got all their information from them and never asked me for a thing besides my name! Bobby was amazing from the get go. From assuring me that he would take amazing care of my car (as I looooove this car), and make it look like it had never been in an accident, to keeping me informed, almost daily, as to how the vehicle was coming. He went above and beyond what I expected, and made this experience less of a nightmare than I thought it was going to be. I've dealt with other places in the past and have had some bad experiences, so dealing with Bobby was a God send. While having to deal with insurance is still crazy, Bobby made sure that the repair job wouldn't be. Got my car back yesterday and I can't tell one bit that it had been in an accident 10 days ago. He made made sure that he did top notch work on my vehicle in a very timely manner. He also washed and vacuumed my car for me so it looked like new when I picked it up. The past year has been a less than stellar year with me and my cars. After forty years of trouble free driving, I was in an accident last year that left my car totaled and then another this year that took out my drivers side headlight. In both situations, my car was taken to Caliber Collision at 822 Kramer LN in Austin. Their compassion for the loss of my car last year left a good impression so I asked for the car to be brought there when I was in another accident. They prepared me for the worst, letting me know that damage to the suspension might mean the car was totaled. Fortunately, it was not. When the car was ready, Enrique Zuloaga took me through a point by point examination of the car and what was done. For example, although the obvious damage was to the drivers side headlamp, they took the time to test and assess the car for damage across the entire front end which led to replacement of both headlamps. I was confident that the car was safe to drive. The best part - they not only fixed and polished the outside, they had detailed the interior of the car and had found a little blue frog totem I thought I had left in the car that was totaled the year before. Silly and sentimental, I know but I had found it on the hood of my blue Volkswagon Beetle and I was always amused to have a frog inside of a bug since you usually find bugs inside of frogs. :D Good job by a great crew. read more

There are lots of shops in town and lots of Caliber shops as well, but this one is the one to go to. Based on yelp reviews I drove across town to go to this shop specifically and wasn't disappointed. Crystal and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive and communicated well. I went in with an insurance claim (a lot of thier business is insurance), they had Enterprise pick me up to get a car (which I later just left at the Caliber shop for drop off). Caliber had our car for 10 days, but every couple of days Crystal called with an update. Absolutely no issues with billing, upselling, etc. and they did a great job with the car. read more

Zach did a a very thorough job of ensuring that all parts that were tossed and damaged were replaced and kept me informed every step of the way. When they found more damage and anticipated taking longer to repair my car they offered to put me into a rental for the last three days. The repair took twice as long as the original estimate. For the first two weeks there was no communication, I found out that there was issues with the insurance company only after I called to get an update. I had to call the insurance company to fix the issue even though it wasn't even my insurance company. My car was returned with mobile access disabled and an error on the screen. The error has come back since the "fix." Additionally, the car was not cleaned properly after the repair. Furthermore, there is a scratch/scuff mark in the spot that was supposed to be repaired. This has been the worst experience that I have had and continue to have with a car repair shop. Tomorrow will be my fifth visit at Caliber Collision because my vehicle has not been repaired properly. I was concerned with the quality of work from day one because of the unprofessional customer service. I received my car today and the drivers side door is not opening. I also received the car with minimal fuel. This required that I drive through downtown ATX during rush hour traffic to find a gas station. I had to climb over the center console and exit the vehicle on the passengers side in order to get fuel. I don't feel comfortable with the quality of work at Caliber Collision because I have received multiple phone calls and voice message with different information. The original timeline of receiving my vehicle is well over due and I have spent an extensive amount of time and energy just trying to work with the shop. I would not recommend Caliber Collision to my friends and family due to the exhausting experience that I have had over the past two weeks. read more
