Like many I had hail damage from the storms back in October; I reported it to my insurance and was given a list of places I could take my vehicle to for a quote/assessment. I looked over the list and this place stuck out both for its reviews and central location to my home. My insurance rep was there to do the assessment and said after I could take anywhere that I wanted but this location was reputable which was in line with the other reviews. Made an appointment which because of all the hail damage seemed like forever but once I got my car in they completed the work and I was happy with the results and the turn around time. Shop is clean, staff is friendly and easy to talk with. Price wise I have no idea, because I paid a deductible but from what I understand they are competitive. read more

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a lady at the front desk who was not the best at hiding her annoyance but eventually was able to direct me to Rolando who was super chill, and made sure I was all good. He took a look at my engine hood for 30 seconds and knew what the issue was. He explained that the hood didn't have enough negative pressure to bounce upward once the lever under my steering wheel was pressed. He adjusted two screws/knobs on the hood itself and it worked!! Best of all - he did it for FREE while Toyota of North Austin was going to charge me $190 to look at it and that did not include the price to fix it. I was truly impressed by Rolando's craft and ability to diagnose my issue within less than a minute. I 100% recommend you ask for Rolando when you visit Classic Collision. I called and was able to be seen in less than 30 minutes (which may not be the case for everyone depending on your exact issue). Regardless, I will undoubtedly return for any future needs. I was very worried about getting my vehicle in because I thought it was going to take weeks, literally after my crash the next day they took my vehicle in. Communication is through the roof! Jay and his team kept me updated weekly with what was going on with my car, they also made the insurance process smooth. They worked fast and efficient. This is an amazing business. The staff is very courteous and welcoming. They do great collision repair work. I know this because they repaired a my car last year after I was in a collision. Great work at a reasonable price. As a result of this experience, I stopped by on Monday 11/11 to get an estimate for work on my new car. While parked at the Gymn someone's vehicle scraped the front passenger side near the wheel and they did not leave a note. This resulted in a nasty looking scraped finish on my car. I walked into the business and a few minutes later Ozzy came out to assess the damage. He didn't see any dents. He said he could probably fix it. He took the car back, did some amazing magic( work) to remove the paint/scratches, etc.. Ozzy was back w/in 20 minutes and my car looked like new. He said I was good to go, He handed me my keys and sent me on my way w/out any charges. He did the work himself. Due to insurance issues, I had to reschedule my drop-off three or four times, and the admin staff were completely understanding about it (and they are all so friendly!). Nick ended up taking care of my case, and he is such a gem! Communicative throughout the process with timing estimates, genuinely cares about his customers, and went the extra mile for me helping out with Enterprise. When you pick up your car, don't expect to find anything remaining that wasn't tied down when you dropped it off. I forgot to remove a small something valuable from the car, and it was missing when I picked it up. I could almost blame my own negligence for that one but to top it off, when I turned on the car, my half-tank of gas going in had turned into a low fuel light. What a major disappointment my visit to Classic Collision on Anderson Mill Rd in Austin, TC was recently--I took the car in to get an estimate which was in the $1500 range for minor damages from a hit and run side swipe--when I took the care into the body shop they called and said the estimate had risen to over $5000! Four times the original estimate! The manager, John, called and told me that I thought the shop deceived me and I was being taken advantage of--wouldn't YOU? He told me that since I lost faith in the shop doing the work he suggested I take the car elsewhere and, boy, was I glad I did because a few miles from his shop I got a quote from another body shop for $1230! So Classic goes down in my opinion as a total RIP OFF read more

Dropped off vehicle to replace windshield and side mirror on a Wednesday. I called on Friday to check status. Was told it was not going to be ready till 16 days after I dropped it off. I was never notified of the time frame. I let them know I needed my vehicle earlier than that. Told them I would pick up my vehicle due to unforseen circumstances. Was told windshield had already been removed and I would be charged labor to put the same windshield back on. Was told one amount but when I get there its higher. Labor fee was almost the same amount of the deductible. No communication on their part and status site had no real time update. All they had to do was let me know the estimated time of repair and I could have told them if it was acceptable or not. I believe they should not have taken off the windshield without letting me know the time frame. I only went there because this business is the place my insurance deals with. Any other place I would have to pay extra. Until improvements are done I don't recommend this location. read more
