Denny's 5:30 AM. Outside the place was a mess. Cigarette butts valid, unkempt landscape, dirty windows. Travelin' Shoes lost his appetite. I ordered the Loaded Veggie Omlette. About halfway through breakfast I ran out of coffee and water. I guess you're only allotted 2 cups of coffee. But, I must say, the portions were fair. Jezzuzs I tried to find a reason to give this place a better review but after standing at the front for 5 min... waiting another 4-5 min after I was acknowledged for a table, I was finally seated. The place had two older ladies, otherwise was empty. Same timeframe with getting my order taken and worse getting my incorrect order served. I eventually got up to serve myself another refill. We drove through Yuma around 11 on a Saturday night and decided to stop for a meal before checking into a hotel. The food is typical Denny's fare. Our waitress, Cecilia, was extremely nice and attentive to our table. She was top notch! My only complaint was that there were flys hovering around our table. Gross. read more

This morning we were at this Denny's in Yuma, Arizona just north of Interstate 8. I've visited several Denny's Restaurants in my travel and I have to say I was quite impressed by the service of those nice waitresses. The restaurant was jammed packed with customers. What most impressed me was the attentiveness of the waitresses, especially ours (Edith) - even with a full house of customers like it was on a weekend or holiday, she attended just not our table but a few others and at the same time did a few extra chores in between. The food was about acceptable as in any other Denny's.. it was the polite, courteous, and quick service that the entire team of servers provided. I'm sold on this Denny's and most definitely be back on our next trip through that destination. Edith, thank you for making our breakfast enjoyable and something to remember. I stopped at Denny's in Yuma to do business via internet and have lunch. The connection was so poor I couldn't get on the internet. The service was OK and food was good but I will NOT be back. All other Denny's I have been to had excellent wifi but this one really sux. I will NEVER spend another dime in that place when other places have what I need. read more

I like this place but they have consistent problems with customer service. When I do take out orders, it's a 50/50 chance that they ever answer the phone. If they DO answer the phone service is great, food is done in a timely fashion, and everything tastes great. IF they ever answer. When I eat in, there is almost always a wait, which is fine. I'm a pretty patient person. Usually during normal breakfast hours, especially on weekends, expect everything to take forever, but the wait staff is almost always nice. But whenever I've gone more around dinner time or late at night, our waitress/waiter is 90% of the time sub-par. Ive never had a problem with the food personally, but others in my party have. Made the mistake of ordering online for pick up instead of delivery. Only way to correct it is to call the store. Called for an hour minutes and no one answers the phone. If your call is longer than 3 minutes their phone lines automatically hang up. I called corporate and they did not know why they aren't answering the phones. I had to drive out to the location to get help and the manager said their phone lines have been down for 3 DAYS. At that point wouldn't a company make notice on social media at least of the inability to answer customer phone calls? The manager Jessica was less than apologetic. Her attitude was basically "can't fix it so not my problem." I then asked for a refund because the food was cold and had been sitting for 45 minutes. She said no at first and said I had to go through the delivery service, I told her the Denny's app doesn't allow for changes, all changed and cancellations must be done through the store. She then changed her mind and said she would give a refund, but then started helping other customers. I think waiting an hour just to get customer service was a long enough wait. So I wait another 15 minutes to be helped again. read more

Haven't dined at Denny's for awhile. Since we were leaving California late (of course) to head back to AZ, it was suppertime when we got to Yuma. Thinking this might be better than the standard fast food restaurant at which to eat, and hoping it would be fast service, we headed on in. We were served by Bryan U. What a wonderful example of customer service to other people in other businesses and the restaurant business! He noticed we were in a hurry, promptly brought menus, drinks, took our order and still was very personable, connecting with us through his recommendations and conversation. I ordered the Santa Fe Skillet (YUM!) which has, as its main ingredient, chorizo (a special kind, according to Bryan, and oh was he right!), skillet potatoes, veggies, 2 eggs (I had mine overeasy) and I added avocado, thanks to Bryan's recommendation. Hubby had the Philly prime melt, which was equally delicious. We were in and out of the restaurant within 40 minutes, had felt as though we connected with a wonderful person in Yuma, and back on our trip home. read more

I occasionally stop here when I drive to and from San Diego and have the patty melt...it's absolutely delicious. Took a little while most recently, but it sure was cooked perfectly and nice and juicy. The waitress was fine as well. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First time I ever went here was about 11 years ago when I was still in the Marines, and was doing an operation on the Air Station. I went here one morning and the service totally sucked. The 2nd time was 4 years ago when me and some buds were heading the the River for the weekend. The place was packed, but when we got to the door they sent us away because they were closing the place to be fumigated AN HOUR LATER!!!! I seriously hate this place and wish it went out of business. Came in on our way home to San Diego. Kendra our server took a while to show up then proceeded to take the Orders for two parties that came in after we did. Just before she brought my husbands food she informed me they were out if romaine so I had to order again. Food tasted ok but needed a better presentation. As much as I like Denny's the service we got today was bad. I am not sure if management changed or what the deal is. My fiancé and I got there after our party had been seated. The server came over to ask if everyone was ready to order, when someone said we needed a little more time she just left without asking us if we wanted something to drink. Everyone got drinks after that except us. We all ordered our food, I order my drinks at that time also. Anyhow, when we finally got our food, our server just gave everyone their food without asking if we needed anything else and of course by that time everyone had finished their drinks. Refills never came. It wasn't until I noticed that I never got crackers with my soup, my fiancé and our friend didn't get salsa for their chips and my 12 year old nephew never got his soda that I took it upon myself to find our server. To my surprise there was no one in the front so it took a while until someone came out that i asked for my server. Had I not done that we would've never gotten our refills, crackers and salsa. The restaurant didn't seem too busy for us to receive that type of service. One of the kids in my party told me that we got that service because it was mostly teenagers and early 20's. Isn't our money worth the same as everyone else's? When we got our refills my server pretty much slammed my drink in the table, not sure if she didn't like it that I had to track her down and ask for refills for everyone. My family love Denny's. Kids get excited to go Denny's in our local area in San Diego. But this one. Horrible as hell. We were wated long as hell to be served. Horrible...Christmas I called to see if they had any pies to buy. The girl on the phone said "no we don't have any right now but we can make one. It will take an hour". An hour later I arrive to pick the pie up and they said " we don't have any pies and we are not making anymore". This is ridiculous unacceptable service. read more

We often stop by Denny's for a late snack and it is usually just fine. Last night (7/10/2014) we went at 2145. The hostess told us to sit anywhere. There were three occupied tables including ours. There were four persons conversing behind the cashier's / hostess' station. When we left after perhaps ten minutes without so much as a glass of water, the same hostess told us, "Have a nice night." She didn't so much as turn a hair over us leaving. No chagrin, no explanation, no nothing, but she did have a nice smile. Whatever. We went home and made burgers. read more
