Worst. Service. Ever. Zero personality. Wait to order. Wait for food. Wait for check. Ugh. Order was wrong. Couldn't get a refill. Our server should find another job because she is absolutely horrible at this one. read more

Although in an underserved area, the staff here treats you like gold! Very competent, very knowledgeable team. Everyone one here is friendly and obviously takes pride in their jobs and the Denny's they work in. During down time, the wait staff not serving customers are busily cleaning, helping the cooks, and making sure that customers have been helped. (MY GOD, this NEVER happens in DC!) Fist fights-not surprising in a restaurant, yet excellent customer service... Yes, very surprising in DC. LOL! This must be a sign of good management, because I've seen terrible service in DC, even the managers don't give a flip, but at this Denny's I see that it is possible to rehab DC's terrible customer service reputation. I hope the wait staff and more importantly the manager stays at this location but serve as an example of what people should expect in terms of customer service in DC. I will continue to come to this Dennys even if it is to get away from the ridiculousness of DC customer service. EVERYONE Should Support this restaurant and its Manager. If you complain about terrible customer service then, you should come to this Denny's to get pampered. Enjoy read more

Very hospitable service. Visited here yesterday and the waiter saved me $2 when I asked for a side that could've come as a combo. Great prices, open 24 hrs and I love being able to order breakfast whenever I want! read more

I am a regular of this Denny's! So I thought I'd add my review because the food never seems to disappoint me. The food is always hot, fresh, and flavorful. I am a late owl, whenever it's after hours and I am starving this Denny's always does the job!!! read more

Denny's - Order to go!!! The french toast and veggie omelet!!! One word Delicious! - Diners Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

Have been here at least a dozen times in the past 6 months. My Beloved drives for metro and his division is about two miles away. So after a long day this is our go to spot. We both absolutely love the food. He gets anything from the steak and eggs to the moon over my hammy. I tend to stick with the lumberjack. It's always hot and tasty and served with a smile! The young people that serve are consistently friendly and well mannered. Even though I think one was a little too friendly with my Beloved asking him one too many questions, batting those big eyes. Lmbo! Little girl don't you see all this he working with right across the table? No worries! Even she was courteous and delivered exceptional service. All in all check it out if you enjoy good, inexpensive food and great service! read more

Just because me and my friends are gay doesn't mean we have to be treated like shit the waiter took us to the table and we had to wait then he took another group to there table behind us then took there order 1st then asked oh no one took your order yet this is so disrespectful and you guys need to hire more Professional employees I'm never going back and I'll make sure to post this on Instagram,Facebook and Twitter if I could give this place zero stars then I would read more

I honestly can't remember the last time I've gone to Denny's. I'm sure it was sometime many years ago in Ga. Nonetheless, the commercial featuring the pumpkin pancakes was on repeat in my mind and I just had to taste them. I ended up ordering the pumpkin pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon as well as a pumpkin coffee and it was delicious. All of that food for a mere $8.00. The service was also fast and friendly although it was like 3AM in the morning. read more

Denny's - This is my breakfast, smelling delicious and looking so scrumptious. - Diners Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

Honestly if I could give less than one star I would. The only good part of this place is the music. It's disgusting and dirty. I found hair in my food and the food was barely edible. This place is honestly just not worth your time and money. The only reason why I came here was because it was free but honestly the food isn't worth it. Second time I've been here and I honestly will never be back. read more

Been here a half dozen times. Food is always good but service bad. Have to flag down servers if want something and you're better off snagging more silverware and ketchup from a different table if needed. Veggie burger and fries is always on point. Tay was my host and server. When I say the service was just average I mean exactly that. The food was average too. The wait time for the food was long. Especially because it was only four tables seated. read more

I've been to a bunch of Denny's and this is a pretty good one. It's a new building/location so everything is clean and new. The sugar holder doesn't even have any wear and tear yet. Service - server was fast and super helpful. We even asked to split the bill weird so we could use coupons and she did without hesitation. Hi-5. Her tip was awesome! Food - I are so fast I don't really remember. But then again that means I had no complaints. I had a Belgium waffles, eggs and bacon. Sometimes waffles can be dry, but no - pretty good. At least a 3 stars. Location - 2 stars. it's sort of in a strange place. I've never even driven past the location before. Maybe if I lived on that side of town I would, but I don't. It's probably going to end up being more of a neighborhood spot as it isn't really convenient to metro. That's a shame. It's a nice place. read more

The food is fine but it took FOREVER to come out. The music is super loud; our waiter could barely hear us. There were panhandlers at the entrance of the restaurant, and bugs in the ladies' room. read more

My wife and a friend of ours decided that at midnight, we wanted to eat. My wife and I have gone to this particular Denny's before and we normally have great service. However, the service was super slow. It took a while for us to get our drinks. It literally took longer to get drinks than our food. The food was delicious like always. Oh, and there weren't a lot of people. That's why I was a bit surprised that our service was pretty slow. Oh well. I would come back again though. read more

The food and service are good. However, do have an issue with the kids eat free promotion. Charged us $6 for kids drinks and then when questioned took off one of the drinks. The manager did not even come and talk to us directly. Not a big deal for $6 but we do frequent the establishment once to twice a month. Definitely fell short this time. read more

The food is what you would expect pretty straight forward eggs, sandwiches and some salads. It's not fancy but hits the spot when you're on a tight budget. The service at this particular restaurant is terrible. I asked the wait staff multiple times for milk for my coffee and hot sauce for my eggs. They never brought either one until I finally spoke with a manager. Forget about a refill on your beverage. I could understand poor service if the restaurant was super busy but it wasn't. The only time I saw my server was when they took my order and again at the register when I paid. read more

Area is not good at night. We were very jet lagged and hungry and this was the only place open. Other customers didn't seem to like us there. New place, dirty cups. I'm just visiting and happen to eat breakfast at Denny's.after a adventure drive(taxi)from hotel to Trinidad. The service sucks. Disclaimer: Five stars when compared to its competitors, not in comparison with expensive restaurants. This distinction is important only with regards to food, not service. I love this Denny's. I used to hate every Denny's, all of them. When I was a young adult, I toured around all over the eastern US in a band. We ate at a lot of Denny's establishments, since they are generally open very late and playing in a rock band works up a large appetite. My opinion of Denny's as a whole was that the food is always cold, takes an hour to show up, and is sub par, like microwaving an already microwaved meal to heat it up a second time. However, this Denny's on Bladensburg Rd. in Trinidad is awesome. It is awesome for many reasons. Their food is always hot, served quick, and feels like real food. I've been here more times than I can count now, since I'm often needing to pull all-nighters studying or just need a quick cheap breakfast. The food is always served within 20 minutes at the most. I once placed an order for a simple breakfast of eggs and pancakes, and literally, the server walked to the back and emerged within 3 minutes with a plate of hot food. They also will occasionally hook you up with cheddar for your eggs for no charge. It's not super common, but a nice surprise when it's not on the bill. The service here is better than most restaurants I've been to in DC. The servers are very friendly, attentive, stop by the table often to fill my coffee/water, and never rush me out the door. Kenya is my favorite, but I've never had a bad server. I've also never had an empty coffee cup. The managers have always been friendly, too, and tend to check on customers when the restaurant gets busy. This Denny's will continue to be my go-to place when I need something quick or a place to spend an all-nighter. read more

Love this place! Totally recommend it! I will go back soon! The service and the food is excellent!

This is the worst place I ever been to. The customer service is horrible, the waiters have you waiting for 20 mins until they serve you let alone bring you a menu. I do not recommend this Denny's or any other one honestly, P.S The food isn't that good, it's barely good. read more

First time at a Denny's in a long time. Service was fast. Was seated as soon as I walked. The server, Sam, was very nice. Sam took our order, but allowed me time to look at the menu. The food was hot, and good. No problem at all here. Give it a try if you're in the area. read more

Literally the one of the worst Denny's I've ever been in and I've been to some pretty bad ones. We came in Saturday morning after a night of late night dancing at a local D.C. Club and expected atleast decent service. Instead we got rude and unprofessional employees manning the front counter, literally has to seat ourselves and it took almost 30 minutes for our orders to be taken and another 45 for 3 very basic meals to be made. We had to flag down our server to get our check and we waited in line to check out another 10-15 minutes. The employees acted like we were bothering them and they had better things to do than their job. Never coming back to this place again! read more

I recently visited this establishment with a friend and honestly we were really surprised at the awesome service we received. I'm one of those "keep it real reviewers" so hopefully I don't offend anyone by saying this...I didn't expect the restaurant, food, or service to be as good as it was because of the neighborhood its in. I know their revamping DC, but honestly where this Denny's is located I was truly impressed. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with a very warm and chipper "good morning", we were seated in a timely fashion, the waitress came over immediately, spoke, gave her name and said she will do everything possible to ensure our visit is pleasant and she did just that. We ordered our food and within 10 minutes it was brought to us pipping hot and delicious. Our waitress made sure we had everything from enough napkins to syrup...she was just that on point and when she noticed we hadn't finishing our food she asked if everything was okay and we told her yes...we were just stuffed. Afterwards she brought us both and to-go containers and separate bags (a plus for me) and asked if there was anything else she could assist us with. Now that was excellent customer service to me and worth the enormous tip we left her. Again...I can't think of one bad thing to say about this Denny's and my only hope is it stays this way. I'm not sure who the manager on duty was but I have to take my hat off to him/her...the staff truly took pride in their job and was more than willing to serve and ensure we had a pleasant experience. Why did I not give a 5 star review...I never do until I go back and visit to see if the service is the same, and that's when I'll know if it deserves 5 stars, but to get a 4 star review from ME after only one visit...they impressed me. read more

Soooo.. this morning around 11:30ish I placed an online order to be delivered to my work place for me and a co-worker. I went directly to the Denny's website to the Bladensburg location where there was NO MENTION that they use Door Dash as a 3rd party delivery service. Long story short- I was charged $55.48 ( $17.03 in service charges, taxes, delivery fees and Tip) for an order I never received. I was told a tall, heavy set and light-skinned lady by the name of Erika came in around 11:45 AM, showed her phone, picked up my order and left with a T-Bone Steak & eggs and Lumberjack Slam! After calling Denny's to report the incident, (and being transferred a few times) I was told it could take up to 5 business days to get my refund. Wow...just Wow! Customer Service has truly gone to hell in a hand bag and COVID can no longer be used as an excuse for these type of mishaps. Erica I hope you enjoyed your meal and Denny's I'll be coming in to pick up someone's food for free since it appears to be as simple as showing my phone and walking out with no type of verification. read more

Dennys food is Dennys food pretty much wherever you go in the USA, so what gives one location 5 stars and this one 1 star? Rude, surley, inattentive waitresses. I'm usually not one to consider discrimination, but the non-whites in the room were taken care of, while this half of a biracial couple literary had the sizzling platter placed on the edge of the table with an eye roll. Nice. I know I can't avoid attitude and obnoxious behavior all the time, but I can avoid this Dennys. read more

I'm giving this place a one star because it's just a place to just eat. Years ago we would come here and was treated well, and now forget it. Our last four trips was not satisfying, food so so service real bad. Too bad becausei I really like family style restaurant's. I will definitely not come to this location anymore. Ok, I'll admit it. I shunned this place every day I passed it going to work for 6 months. GRAND OPENING!! (Meh...) NEW! SPECIALS! (Ho hum....) But then this fateful morning, my 7 year old daughter was craving pancakes. IHOP being all the way out in Arlington...I wasn't having it. So...Denny's. my expectations were lower than low. The greeting, the service and the food was actually really good. No Michelin stars, but solid weekend breakfast with a 7 year old? Spot on! Good job. And really hot and delicious coffee!
