Gyro pita was filling and tastes amazing! Service was great and the chef makes some great food. Really enjoyed my experience here.

I was excited to see Brookland get a new sit down dining option. So far I have been for lunch and breakfast with friends. We had the salmon wrap with fries, biscuits and gravy, fruit smoothies, pancakes, western omelet, breakfast burrito and corned beef hash. Overall, everyone was beyond satisfied and eager to return to try more things. The portions are generous, everything tastes fresh and homemade. Given the way prices are going up at restaurants all over the city it was refreshing to go somewhere that puts value - delicious food at a good price over "instagramable vibes". There were some tiny hiccups that one would expect with a brand new restaurant that hopefully will get ironed out. Shout out to Carlos, the server, who is caring and warm. Also, bonus points for the chef coming out to the dining room and stopping by each table. I hope they do well!

I had the alfredo with chicken. It was an excellent dish. The flavors were exceptional. Please go. You will not be disappointed.

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

You can definitely tell they take pride in the quality of their seafood. My nephew ordered the burger and absolutely devoured it, so I'd say that was a win too! Between the waterfront views, laid-back atmosphere, wonderful staff and great food, it was the perfect place to take a break and refuel after exploring the area. If you're spending the day at The Wharf and looking for a casual spot with delicious seafood and a great vibe, I'd definitely recommend stopping here.

It was just okay A bit pricey given the amount of food given The major issue I have with this place is the ambience. The inside seating is really small and really strange. They set us, a party of three, at a sort of bar that was centered around Frozen seafood so it was hard for us to sit around. There weren't too many tables for people to face each other which is also a little bit strange they do have outdoor seating but the view honestly isn't something that I would recommend for outdoor seating even though it's on the wharf Parking in this area is really tough. Either take an Uber or plan to pay for parking or come at an Nothing else really stood out. I doubt I will come back here.

But nobody, and I mean nobody pours a drink like Elle at Suzie Q's. People are always coming up to me, very smart people, and they say, "Sir, where do I get a tremendous cocktail?" I say: You go see Elle. Other bartenders, they give you a weak pour. Very sad, frankly. They don't know what they're doing. Total disasters. But Elle? She gives you a beautiful pour. The best pours ever. Big, strong guys come up to her at the bar with tears in their eyes and say, "Thank you, Elle, for saving my happy hour." Her drinks are huge. Fantasticly flavorful. The absolute best ingredients. Other places want you to drink terrible, watery drinks. Not on Elle's watch! She is a winner, I know winners, and she's one of them, and she is making mixology great again. If you want a bad drink, go somewhere else. If you want perfection, you go see Elle at Suzie Q's . Five stars. Believe me!

It is, however, a bar that serves the equivalent of savory snacks. And an understaffed one at that (I full well understand finding workers is a problem, these days). Bartender was cheerfully performing acrobatics to keep up, he deserved his large tip. Everyone, inside and out, was clearly enjoying themselves, there with friends for post-game fun, camaraderie, and pool. I suppose that is all you need to know. A bar, not a restaurant, that attracts large crowds.
