Worst decision I've made in a long time. Woke up to a stratchy and burn feeling in my throat. There was left over oil from the food stuck in my throat, making the burn feeling more intense. Moments later, and many glasses of water not helping, I projectile vomit all over my shower floor, and traces of blood follow while I continue to spit and gurgle the foul oily good taste out of my mouth. I call the restaurant after I settle a bit. The manager "Ahmeed" tells me that I need a doctor's note and a "sample" to have tested for food poison before I can possibility get a refund of $13.03 back...no sorry or anything. Hopefully corporate will intervene soon, because the manager saying that to me let alone any other customer is ridiculous. We have been to this Denny's several times and the service is usually sub par. We noticed it was under new management and hoped the service would improve. It did for a while but...... it's pretty bad again. Today we were seated pretty quickly then sat for over ten minutes without even a greeting. Jessie was awesome as our waiter. He was on top of our water and coffee. The manager, Abbi, was not so nice. He charged us for a coffee to go even though we already bought two coffees. Wow. Had the worst service both over the phone AND in the dining room on the same day. Extremely rude cashier taking our breakfast order over the phone. She became so frustrated with her own mistakes that she asked for help. The next person on the line was even more rude and seemed bothered. Once in the dining room to pick up our order it was extremely obvious that we were being talked about as we were being pointed at during their hushed conversations. It was this action on top of the terrible service that I decided not to tip. I quickly changed my mins regarding the tip because I did not want the rest of the staff to suffer because of these two women. Terrible service. The wife and I decided to have a late breakfast driving back from San Diego. We were kinda glad to see that there were hardly anybody eating since this place is normally packed with customers. We were the only ones in line for a table. A server kept telling us that she will be right with us. After a LONG 15 minute wait, someone finally came and directed us to a table. However, when we asked for a table other than where he was taking us to, he just looked at us, handed my wife the menu and walked away! I OMG! I found out from our server that he is the Manager of this joint! And he did the same thing to the customers after us! have never seen this kind of service in all the years that I have been eating at restaurants. And I travel a lot! Our server was decent and appeared to be trying real hard to please everyone. It was understandable that it took us three tries to get our lemon and straws because she had more folks to serve than the other server. It is really sad that the service at this Denny's plummeted! I haven't eaten at Denny's in years, but I've always liked their hash browns and reputation for cheap eats 24/7, like $2.99 or $3.99 breakfasts. One morning I found myself hungry in Temecula and stopped by. The waitress was pleasant and the food, well to use an expression I hate, "it is what it is." The hash browns were overdone, not the golden brown I remember, over medium eggs were good, bacon not crispy per my request and the coffee was weak and frankly God-awful. So bad I couldn't get my hand over the top of the cup fast enough when it was offered. Worst of all, this most basic of meals cost me $20 with the tip. I guess I missed the memo about Denny's prices going up market. I think I'll just keep going to McDonald's, their bacon egg and cheese biscuit is consistently good, although of course their version of "hash browns" was created in a laboratory by Food Technologists in White Lab Coats. read more

Chicken wings= food poisoning. By food poisoning I mean me with stomach cramps and running to the bathroom all morning. That was nothing compared to my fiancé. 12 pm til 2 am he was in the bathroom or head in a trash can....or for two and a half hours in a grocery bag for our car ride home. Stopped in for a late breakfast. Wait staff and busser were wearing masks properly but manager (wearing blue shirt) was not. He had his nose out the entire time we were in the restaurant. We were seated fairly promptly and received our drinks but they were slammed with take out orders and after 30 minutes of watching the manager, wearing his mask improperly and not wearing gloves or washing his hands, bouncing around from the cash register to packing take out to helping the line cooks prepare food, touching and rubbing his nose the whole time, we paid for our drinks and left. Not worth getting covid for a patty melt. If he can't wear his mask properly and for goodness sakes wash his hands after handling cash and before preparing food, I'll find somewhere else to eat. The other waiter and waitress were very nice and we felt bad for leaving but it's just not worth the risk. Will not be back. read more

Bad experience. The wifey and I hit it for lunch. First off, when the place is almost empty, there is no need to make the guest wait to be seated. Second off, we both ordered the double cheese burger with jack cheese and season fries. The burgers were taking quite a while and as we discussed it, our server came up and informed us that we could've had our burgers sooner but, she said the cook put American cheese instead of jack. When our burgers finally came out, they tasted bland. The meat wasn't even seasoned and the patties were falling apart. We didn't even get a discount for the prolonged waiting time. When the bill came out, we realized that the burgers were $10 dollars each....... really??? It wasn't worth $5 for the whole combo. With service like that, and prices like that, it's obvious we can go to better places to eat lunch. read more

TWICE, very disappointing. We had to get up three times to ask for service, after 30 minutes waiting for a waiter it took 30 minutes for food and another 30 minutes for the check. Not one employee smiled or looked like they even wanted to be there. Our waitress literally slung the silverware on the table as she walked by. The interior had signs hung crooked and wires strung on the ceiling like no one cared about the place. I have been to MANY DENNY'S and NEVER like this. A simple task of asking for creamer for coffee was a long wait, not only was it long but I received 3 small containers of French Vanilla and one of Hazelnut which isn't enough for two coffees. I go to this Denny's all the time, and it's honestly one of the best ones I've ever been to. It's unfair to treat Denny's like they are some high class restaurant and hold them to very high standards, because that is simply not what the restaurant is meant to be. It's somewhat affordable dining that serves the entire menu all day. This Denny's makes good food, is pretty clean, and has a mostly upbeat staff. Jesse is the nicest and friendly employee here, if you become a regular he remembers you and what you like. I've never had a bad experience here, honestly.
