Today, my husband and I came to Denny's on a fly. Normally, it's not one of our frequent breakfast spots. But, today was very special because of our waitress Araceli. When we arrived, we noticed how busy the restaurant was. Araceli, was our waitress, it was astonishing to watch how she literally ran to serve all twelve of her tables with a smile at all times. We watched her serve coffee refills, take orders, serving and all the while making sure her diners were satisfied. Araceli, is definitely under payed. You can tell she takes pride in her job. She's a more mature woman but she would run any millennial into the ground. Bravo for you Araceli. Denny's by luck got you as their employee. Me and My 83 year old Dad went to went to eat at this Location and the restaurant was practically empty! There was only the other couple there eating at the time and soon we would be finding out why? By that time a girl came to us and brought us waters and old coffee for my Dad to sip on! We were exhausted after a long day and just wanted something hearty to eat without a long wait. Our 12 year old son suggested Denny's, which he saw outside of our hotel window. Really? Denny's?? We don't normally dine at Denny's but what the heck... We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed dining there, from the hostess to the waiter who was warm, friendly and took care of us. We ordered the Denver Omelette, Eggs, Bacon and Hash Browns, and Wild Salmon with vegetables, mashed potatoes and garlic bread. Everything looked delicious, and we left satisfied! The next time we were in Temecula, we headed straight to this Denny's again! The place was hopping, but our waitress, Betsy, took such good care of us (along with all her other tables)! Don't go to this Denny's !!! The rudest waitress I've ever had was the one we got, and I can't say enough negative things to say. We went there for a late breakfast, and she must not have liked something about us, because she didn't even finish taking the order when she started to walk away, and we had to say what toast we wanted. Then when the food came, she dropped it on the table without saying a word, and didn't come to the table until she brought the check. I don't know what is wrong with her, but it doesn't help the restaurant to have somebody like that working there. She has a strong foreign accent, is small with dark hair and eyes. Several of the waitresses look like that, but if you ever have the misfortune to have her "wait" on you, it will be obvious who she is. Try the Denny's in French Valley, where they are very friendly, or the one in Murrieta. Any Denny's but the one in Temecula. read more

This Denny's may not be the cleanest compared to the one in Murrieta, but the food hasn't let me down yet! However, I was pretty annoyed once when we came in a group of 7 for late night breakfast and they wouldn't honor the free Birthday Grand Slam breakfast for our friend who simply forgot her license! Lame customer service! And since this particular Denny's is the closest to the hotels on Rancho Cal/Ynez/Jefferson area, it gets PACKED on the weekend mornings. I wanted to go off on her so bad but held it in , after it was time to pay she was trying to over charge us for someone else's food and for stuff I didn't order I showed her and again with the attitude so I decided not to leave a tip because of this horrible experience talked to a manager about it and instead of the manager talking to his employee he goes off on my family about why I didn't tip her ? I've been to many breakfast restaurants in my life, but Denny's has always been a go to option. I've typically enjoyed everything I've had, however this occassion took a turn for the worst. After hours of hiking around in the snowy mountains I was starving, so I ordered chicken strips with a side of fries and creamed corn. I had no idea what to expect from this creamed corn having never heard nor tried it in my lifetime. Within the first bite of this disaster, I knew it was a mistake. It was overly sweet and left a nauseating aftertaste. I quickly offered it to my friends and the disgusted looks on their faces told the entire story. Worst decision I've made in a long time. Woke up to a stratchy and burn feeling in my throat. There was left over oil from the food stuck in my throat, making the burn feeling more intense. Moments later, and many glasses of water not helping, I projectile vomit all over my shower floor, and traces of blood follow while I continue to spit and gurgle the foul oily good taste out of my mouth. I call the restaurant after I settle a bit. The manager "Ahmeed" tells me that I need a doctor's note and a "sample" to have tested for food poison before I can possibility get a refund of $13.03 back...no sorry or anything. Hopefully corporate will intervene soon, because the manager saying that to me let alone any other customer is ridiculous.
