I ordered the chicken tenders and fries with the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was burned black. The chicken tenders had been cooked twice I could tell because they were hard in some places and dried out. The fries were cold on one end and scalding hot on the other end. This usually means it was microwaved. All around the food was horrible. Then the poor waitress is pregnant about to pop so I felt guilty and didn't say anything because I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I have 1 star because you have to give at least one. read more

I have not been to any Denny's in a long time and this was my first here. It was a very slow night with few people inside eating when I arrived. I ordered a Grand Slam with some side. I found out they changed the recipe for their pan cakes. A very good improvement over the plane flat ones in the past. These are closer to what you see and IHOP. Thicker and fluffier buttermilk pancakes. Eggs were good and the bacon might even be better quality. The service was a little spotty at times but I got me food and loved it. They will certainly need more help if they have a larger crowd. read more

Horrible service. Horrible management. We went for breakfast this Sunday. They wanted us to wait in the lobby with all of the other patrons waiting for a table. No 6 ft distance provided. We opted to order online. Mistake. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. After 20 minutes we called as instructed to let them know we were there for our order. 15 minutes later I called again and they finally brought our order out. It was the wrong order. When I took it back into the restaurant I was made to wait for the Manager who told me I would have to wait until she had time to refund our money as she was just too busy. So an hour after getting to Dennys I left with no breakfast, no refund and a very firm conviction that I will never visit this restaurant ever again. I will be calling the better business bureau and leaving a review with my experience everywhere I can. "Poor management" doesnt even begin to cover this experience. read more

When I finally got my food it had missing ingredients. My pancakes were a joke too, there weren't any icing on it like the picture. We didn't even get syrup. We went for dinner on prom night when all of the dinner places were packed. we had been at a conference all day and didnt eant to go home and cook. The place was nearly empty. the lady (manager) was not friendly at all and as she walked us to our table she was complaining about the cook to another waitress. we sat at our table for 10 minutes before anyone offered us anything to drink. once we finally ordered it took 45 minutes just to get our food. horrible experience. read more

The staff were very unorganized. Lots of people waiting to be seated. We counted 11 empty tables and still no one being seated. We had been standing more than 10 minutes and the other folks were there longer. When asked how much longer the hostess stated they had 2 large parties. The waitress standing there a well said she was almost done with her party of 12. I asked why all the empty tables and no one being seated. Supposedly the waitresses can not handle all their tables. 3rd time we've been here. The first 2 times was awesome, Great service, great food, a great experience all around. This last time, we were very disappointed. I think our waitress was being stretched thin this day, because we had a hard time getting a hold of her. Waited on silverware, drink refills, and for questions. We actually had to hunt down another waitress at one point. She was a nice and friendly person, but I think she may have been covering 2 sections or something. Food was bland this time, and too hot. Most the time the wait staff is super friendly, but if we come during dinner or lunch time, my boyfriend and I usually have to wait a while for our food. On New Years Day at lunchtime we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food, which was unacceptable. But the wait hasn't been that long since. Mediocre food. Made to order but a lot of it is obviously frozen food, not surprisingly. But for how cheap it is, and the friendly servers, we come back every once in a while. A-Ok place! Like the Denny's I'm used to in Amherst, NY, this location has a friendly staff, the food is prepped great, and the location is new and clean. Our server Nancy was happy to bring us coffee refills, additional cream and sugar when our table ran out, and she got our order right and was friendly the entire time. The food was awesome too--just made great; way better than IHOP on Glenstone. It's still a chain store, which I'm not always in love with, but it's nice to be able to default to something nearby where we're staying and get good food. read more

Decided to try Denny's because it is close and it never seems to be busy. Now I know why. The food was mediocre, but the server was horrible. We still take COVID precautions and wear our masks when we go out. We noticed that the host was not masked, but the servers were, so we stayed. Our waitress had her mask on when she came to take our drink order, but that was about it. 95% of the rest of the time, she was wearing her mask like a necklace. At one point, she actually sat down next to me in the booth (still unmasked) turning and speaking directly in my face. I kept having to scoot away from her. Another time, she reached out for my face to turn my head so she could see both of my earrings. I really feel that this was a deliberate response to the fact that we were masked. read more

Worst dining experience ever. There were maybe six tables of diners. We kept wondering why people were upset and leaving before their food arrived. We figured it out when an hour and a half later our food had never arrived. It came at the two hour mark...not the meal we ordered but some raw bacon and uncooked eggs. The server said that the manager only kept one cook because she thought Nov 3rd wouldn't be busy. First time trying this Dennys in Springfield tonight and food was actually better than the past Dennys I've been to. But O-M-G the service was HORRIBLE!!! She was so slow. At first she was okay, brought drinks and took our order (not very knowledgeable of the menu, since what I ordered said it comes with bacon AND sausage but she asked me bacon or sausage... I'm like ? . I corrected her. Anyways, she brought our food. And that was it. Never saw her again. No refills. No checking to see if everything is ok. We had to ask another server for a to go box after waiting for 10 mins for her to come by. But nope. Waited for another 7 mins for our check and nada. I am a server and that was seriously terrible. No excuse. Walked by us multiple times, even looked at us right in the eyes but nothing. We had to finally give up and just went ahead to go to the counter to pay. I'm a 20%+ tipper but I was very hesitant to even tip 10%. It was that bad. Positive thing is the food was good and the restaurant was very clean. read more

My coffee cup never went dry and I did not run out of cream or Splenda, which says a lot considering how much coffee I drink. Went here for dinner a few days ago. We have been here about 7 or 8 times since they first opened. First, we waited about 3 or 4 minutes while I believe the only waitress on duty, came up to the counter and seated us. There was a male manager that was roaming around but he was not at the counter when we arrived. My wife ordered the Salmon. Big mistake. I think it was freezer burned or had some other malady. Also, it didn't look anything like Salmon. It was more like a fish cake or something. My wife ate about 1/3 of it when she began to have an allergic reaction. Her mouth started to form a couple of small blisters and her right arm started showing a rash. We did inform the waitress at the end of the meal - she was busy and never had the chance to get back to us to ask if everything was alright - and she very smoothly said she was sorry and would have the manager remove the item from our bill. My wife is a nurse and wanted to leave right away to get some Benadryl so we just paid the bill and went to the drug store. For the next 7 hours, my wife was ill and didn't sleep well that evening. When they first opened up here - not long ago - things really seemed like it would be a nice addition to the community. Now the paint is scraped off the doors going in and out of the entry, the waitresses seem to change every few weeks and some of the food is not identifiable plus seems to be old and dangerous. We've eaten at Denny's all throughout the country but have never had these kinds of experiences. I see no reason to go here again. read more
