The food was decent. The service, not so much. Our waitress Christina B was not very attentive, even though she only had 3 tables. I had to ask twice for things. It seemed she was more interested in talking to her coworkers than serving customers. I hope management sees this and retrains staff. read more

Restaurant not busy for a Saturday. I ordered eggs, sausage and pancakes. I asked for sugar free syrup. Out of it. I asked to change to hash browns instead of pancake's. No can't do that. Only toast. Today I got the worst service from Denny's. When I was seated, the hostess gave me an attitude since I didn't want to sit in a half booth, half table with my party. She found us a seat sufficient for my party and then told us we would be helped in a second. My party waited there for 10 minutes, making eye contact with every hostess, server, and manager we could see with no help, not even a drink. Since I am a patient individual, we decided to stay a few more minutes and heard the server talking about us, stating that they should make us wait longer since I gave her an "attitude" about finding a sufficient seat for my party. The server took so long to come to us, so the host took our order, we wanted to start with appetizers and insisted that she should come back and we will order the rest.. cuz appetizers are for before the meal like i want something to pick at while i figure out what to order, but she said she will just take our whole order and hold off the main meal ... fast-forward 60 years later we finally get our food mind you we ordered smoothies and they came way before our food anyways, back to what I was saying fast forward we get our food and it all comes together appetizers and everything so she should've listened to us and waited until we wanted to order actual food, and by the way, the boneless wings with the buffalo sauce I can't do anything but laugh matter a fact I will laugh ha ha ha ha and the steak is purple inside, we got no toast, and i was missing a sausage and i never got my water refilled. the other server walked around asking everyone if they're ok and if they want refills and everything BUT us lol i don't even think we talked to our own server at all the only person we talked to was the host and the cook and all the cook did was give us our food. took FOREVER for someone to check on us like nobody came for refills or to see if we needed anything like as i'm typing this me and my sister been waiting 30+ minutes and i swear i am not exaggerating lmao if i could give 0 stars that would be amazing.. also we asked for a manger and told him half of what happened and he immediately said he would pay for everything and i really appreciate that but he was also walking around the restaurant and could've helped us and gave us refills and helped to avoid this but hey at least it was free read more

Absolutely ridiculous service!! Restaurant has 7 total patrons in the restaurant and a family with 4 children was stuck waiting for over 15 minutes while some yahoo yells from the kitchen, "be right there". Meantime a waitress walks back and forth from a table she's waiting on and to talk to another server sitting at a table. I can't believe these high school kids are still employed!!! One of the few spots left around in the area open 24 hours. My fiance and I went after we found that IHOP's hours changed and we're glad we did! It's been years since I've been in a Denny's. I'm glad I stopped for breakfast. Just got the meat lovers special swapped out pancake for wheat toast (diabetic), and topped it off with coffee. We've been in Spring Hill for just over 40 years. We've watched restaurants come and go. This place either needs to get their act together or go! If you are looking for sausage or bacon cooked to order ... FORGET IT. It is all precooked and rubbery. (CONFIRMED BY WAITRESS) If you are looking for something as simple as toast cooked they way you like it, dark, light, in between .... FORGET IT. ALL toast seems to come out the same way, pre-buttered and limp as if it has also been precooked and they simply rub a spatula covered in "butter" before they send it out to you. If you like to have your hash browns scatted so they are cooked all around and not like a pancake cooked only on the outside ... FORGET IT. We have ordered "scattered" has browns with specific request to make sue they are cooked all around and all we ever got was the standard flat pancake type hash browns. If you are looking for FAST service ... FORGET IT. Especially on a Sunday after church lets out. When the waitress finally does take your order (average wait time 5-10 minutes) you can count on a good 20-25 minute wait to get it. And then the meal is either wrong or luke warm. We've been disappointed enough to contact their corporate headquarters. They obliged us with some free meals but even when we went back and told the waitress we were eating for free and why we were our order still came out NOT to our liking. I have been here a couple times. I always had a good experience until today. Me, my brother, my sister, and my mother received coupons for free pancakes from t mobile. We placed our orders, and i figured I would go and pick them up for them. So I go to the restaurant, and when I arrive the manager accused me of reusing the coupons. I explained that I was picking them up for the whole family, but he refused to acknowledge what I said. He continued to say that he would "let me get away with it this time," and made me feel as if I was exploiting him for using coupons his company gave out. This is the best Denny's in the area! The food is always great, and I have never had an order messed up. They have really taken COVID-19 measures seriously. There are actually large panes of plexiglass hung from the ceiling between each booth. They are also ensuring that diners are seated at a distance from each other. With these kinds of measures in place, I feel very comfortable eating here. Add in the good food and friendly service, and I will definitely be back. (And I'll probably be ordering their Bourbon Bacon Burger. It's super!) read more

Only saving grace was the cup of vegetable beef soup I got. I ordered the pot roast with mash potatoes and zucchini and squash. Everything tasted like a salt bomb hit the plate. Terrible service. I sat at the counter 15 minutes and was ignored . Waitresses walked right past me like I wasn't there, dirty dishes piled on the counter. Asked to be seated and was served coffee. Waited 15 minutes food came, no sausage. Food was warm, not hot. I don't know if it was a bad time I went there but I won't be back. Wow! That is what I left saying after eating here. Everything was cooked to perfection, and served hot. I did not realize a Denny's could provide such an outstanding meal. The price was incredibly satisfying as well. Dinner for two, soft drinks, dessert, and tip all under $40.00. We usually have good service at this place until we were served by Janet! I asked if I could switch choc chip pancakes for multi grain and she said "oh sure"! The meal arrived and the pancakes were filled with choc chips and when questioned she said "those are multi grain with choc chips" DUH! They were an inch thick and rubbery. I did not eat them! Had she offered to exchange them for what I wanted instead of her reasoning, it would've been ok. If you go there ask for Amanda. I have been here plenty of times since they redid the inside, it looks newer crisp in its appearance, gone are the ripped seats and stuff like that. I went late in the evening, what I came to find out is that the day and afternoon shifts differ very much from the late shift. I know people make mistakes, so when they got my order wrong, i didnt get upset, i calmly told her what i ordered and the waitress shook her head and told me that the cook was fairly new and he was by himself. The waitress was slow, but kind and she quickly sent for another order. After a second time, I got the food wrong again, she brought it out to show me it and took back didnt want me to think that she forgot about us. So the waitress was fine, but the cooks which i never met, got our order wrong actually three times, but one of the mistakes we just decided to forget it and have it removed from our bill. If you want to eat at Dennys try to avoid the late shift for some reason the cook cant get things right. On paying the young lady that took my money asked if everything had been great, I told her that they either needed to get the cook help or reteach him on whats the difference over medium eggs and scrambled. The young lady offered a 10% discount, for the wait and being patient. So in overall the experience wasn't to bad, but do prefer the afternoon staff over the evening cooks. waitress/hostess was kind helpful and that they should also get the cook some help for the late nights that gets busy, but in fairness I dont know if that was a one time thing or its always like that. Not impressed. Stopped for a late breakfast. My scrambled egg was barely warm. Bacon was greasy, not crisp, and not tasty. Belgium waffle was ok, but heavy and dense. My juice was served in a spotty glass. That said even tho I've had far better food I could make do. However the place needs a good cleaning and remodeling. Dust was on the hanging light cords; the floor was slippery in some spots, sticky under the table; the stainless on the wall near the kitchen was streaky. Worse, the stainless cabinets near the coffee station were filthy. They had a build up of dark grease or something around the edges and the facings were very stained. The whole place looks dated. The one good thing about our visit was Claudia, our waitress. She was very attentive and friendly. read more

Came here for a weekend breakfast and it was just okay. I ordered my eggs over medium and they came over easy. Also, the menu seemed to have a significantly smaller selection than it used to...not sure what's going on there. The blueberry pancakes were good, though. I wish they would bring back the Hobbit menu, it was the best! read more

We've been there a few times and have always had excellent service, the food has been exceptionally good- considering it's Denny's and the front of the restaurant is clean- tables are immediately cleared off, no dishes sitting around; the floor is clean and kept swept and booth tables and benches are kept clean! I'm picky, so I notice the little stuff. We have had a few waitresses and all of them have been really good- ie. keeping tea and coffee filled without us having to ask for a refill, timely in getting us drinks and taking our order and checking frequently for any needs and our satisfaction! Recently renovated and I think the food got a makeover because it seems to be better than I remember. I had the Santa Fe skillet which was really good. Another person had the fish and chips and really enjoyed the fish. My son had the Rudolph pancakes from kids menu which is for upcoming Christmas season. Waitress was helpful and manager even came by to get us refills. Busy but not crowded so we were seated right away. I really enjoyed the new modern look, for a Denny's. read more

I had an overall good experience here I can't complain. I'm not used to eating here can we say when I was in my twenties and going bar hopping after the bar I'm used to eating here among other local restaurants that were open when I was in my younger years after long drunken nights and it was one of the only restaurants open so when we we're hungry and needed that grease to absorb the alcohol; you know how you always get hungry after you been bar hopping so you stop at your local restaurant. Needless to say I had a gift card and I decided to take a friend out for lunch yesterday which came out to be lunch early dinner to utilize the gift card which I felt would never ever be used but we decided to spend the day together and this was one of our stops. We decided to go with breakfast his usual but I hadn't had breakfast in a long long time since it's not one of my go-to meals breakfast for me is a Cup of Jo well maybe two or three, LOL. Anywho needless to say I had the build your own with what I haven't had in a long time pancakes. I'm one person who picks and never finishes her plates and always have a to-go bag and usually eat 1/4 of whatever I ordered and served. I literally cleaned my plate empty we actually both it which is unusual for the both of us. The bacon was made soft just like I asked the ham was made perfect in the pancakes were absolutely excellent just like I asked for and my eggs were scrambled with cheese just like I asked that I did not have to ask for anything to be fixed or to be we made it was all made to be fresh and to as close to Perfection as you can get for a Denny's and not a four-star or five-star$100 a plate restaurant. Not bad the only reason I'm not giving it a five-star, I don't know why maybe cuz I'm a bougie b****and this restaurant it's kind of low on the totem pole so that's probably the reason for my rating and it's kind of not what I usually would go to but the only reason that I went there was because I was giving a gift card and I didn't want it to go to waste. But if you're in a hankering for a meal especially breakfast I was not disappointed. They also have a new menu out that has lots of stuff on it I was told I did look at the Salmon as an option but decided to go with breakfast everybody salmon is not made properly so I wouldn't really get it at a place like that but if that's your cup of tea that your cup of tea. Plus my friend had a AAA card so we were able to get another 10% off because he got an alert on his phone. Kudos to us and good luck on your trip if you ever go there. read more

My problem here isn't the food. It's the service. Not too long ago my sister in law, my niece, and I went in around ten to catch a late night meal. We were seated. 20 minutes later after trying to flag down a waitress we still had not even gotten drinks. It was not amazingly busy or anything. They only realized their bad service when we were leaving. I wonder if there has been a change in managers because i have been going there for 3 years and the service has only started going downhill in the last 3 months or so. I know it's Denny's, and typically not an "over the top" experience, but that is exactly what we had! We were immediately seated on a Saturday night at 10:30. Not really crowded, but were quickly told by our waitress that only she and one other waitress were working that night, and she hoped we understood if things weren't perfect. So with that heads up, we were preparing ourselves for a lower than good night. It was actually one of the best dining experiences we've had. Our waitress was very attentive! Drinks filled without even asking. Our orders came out so fast, hot, and fresh that I actually questioned if we were in a Denny's restaurant! Their new menu items were tasty and the prices were very reasonable! After we placed our orders, it literally took only 7 minutes to get our food served to us. Everything was picture perfect and tasted as good as it looked!! We will definitely be back! read more
