I don't know why these reviews are so horrible. I didn't want to try this place because the stars are so low. I decided to come here in the morning and have my own opinion. I thought that the food was great, decent service too. We were greeted when we walked in and promptly sat. They took our order very quickly and we got our food within minutes. Everyone was very nice. We went in to have a late dinner and the manger was one of the rudest person I have ever dealt with. He refused service to my party and me because we asked a question to him and he responded by yelling at me. I asked him not to yell and he told me he was going to deny service. Never again going to go to this dennys it's really sad what a horrible customer service we received. They were not busy for the manger to be so frustrated. This denny's is wack if you really want to dine at a Denny's in Riverside I suggest you visit the one on Valley Way because their customer service is A+ and so is the food and if you need to use their restroom you can! The one on University will let you come in, sit down and eat BUT you cannot use their bathooms you might as well go back to pick up and delivery and get the hell out of there how stupid is that it's like if you invited me to your home for a meal but I'm not good enough to use your restroom in your home why bother? I've had my fair share of Denny's experience, however I would rather prefer other restaurants such as Ihop for breakfast. (I'll explain why later) But my boyfriend prefers Denny's in general, so we went to try this place out. I ordered the ultimate omelette with the $2 two stack of pancakes. I was a bit disappointed with my omelette. Maybe it's because I'm used to the Ihop omelettes, but the egg itself did not seem mixed with the ingredients. I'm just that picky, I guess. It seemed like they had already cooked the egg but then stuffed the ingredients inside, instead of mixing it with the yolk. The hash browns were good, so no complaints about that. Me and my family hardly go to Dennys because for us the past decade the food has been crap, well at least for the one that's closer to my house. We were headed to the mall but wanted to stop for breakfast first. Let me tell you the manager who was their ( didn't get a chance to get his name) was so nice, friendly and very outgoing. It felt like we knew him for years, my kind of people. Then on top of that we were seated in a booth, Gissel G came over and asked us for our drinks. When she back back we ordered our food. We were shocked because we waited about 10 15 minutes and she already had our food. She was also friendly, very efficient and spot on with our food.We didn't even have to ask for refills or extra cream for the coffee because she already knew. Our food was so good, fresh and hot. Stopped by really early to have breakfast and was greeted at the door by Daniel. Myself and others were told the cook had an emergency and he (Daniel) was the only there. He asked if we wanted coffee in the meantime, so we all agreed. He served us and after a couple of minutes of waiting Daniel stepped up to the plate and cooked for everyone there. I had breakfast with my family at the time of paying I gave the cashier my discount card from shopRiverside she only gave me a 10 percent off I asked to speak to the manager by the way her name Isabel I ask her should I get a 15-20 percent off she said only entitled to 15 percent off the price before tax well I said ok I got home and I knew I wasn't getting my discount. So I decide to look for my discount book found it and now in April these people don't know their discount from crew members to management just posting pictures. I have been to many Denny's restaurants and they are... all the same. If anything their portions here are a little less than the other places.
