Country Country-Fried Steak Dinner That's supposed to be mash potatoes....
Helen Q.

This was a take out order. The pot roast melt was soggy. Had to air fry the melt again to get it crispy by the time I got home. The pot roast meat was very tender, so that at least was a plus. overall, the melt was not very flavorful. Would not order again. The country fried steak was crispy, and seasoned nicely. I asked for gravy on the side. What looks like gravy in the photo is their poor version of mash potatoes. It was watery, runny, and tasted questionable. Not sure what in the world happened there. I'll stick to fries next time.

Let me start by saying I wasn't in a good mode because of back pain. Brittany greeted me with a warm smile and she was our server. She ask how we were doing and took our order. She said I hope you feel better and it was warm and sincere. What can I say the food was hot and delicious. The icing on the cake was Brittany because of her warm smile and excellent customer service skills. Keep up the good work. All my visits to this location have alway positive.

Great waitress, nice, personable & friendly. She was on top of it the whole time, kept checking to see if all was good & if we needed anything. Food was delivious, I had chicken tenders & seasoned fries, hubby had breakkfast food, nathan had burger & fries. Place was clean & quiet, plenty of space. Definitely recommend !

It was lovely clear skies Friday morning. I have a family from out of town. We did an outdoor walk and landed here in Denny's . Such a pretty clean place. Very American. Loved it since I am a native Californian. This place in Rancho Cucamonga was so convenient to Victoria Garden, fwy and Ontario mills We ordered the Grain multigrain pancake, crepes and omelet . The eggs were ok. Not overcooked. The hash browns were crispy . Sausage and bacon were ok. The strawberry crepe with cream cheese was so good. Nice to go back again. Service was quick. Seated right away

This location was renovated fairly recently so the decor and furniture has a nice updated feel to it. The food and is on par with other Denny's locations so no negatives there. Our server was quick and efficient, and the food also came out quickly. If you're looking for a breakfast and a coffee at Denny's, you won't be disappointed at this location. Parking is shared among other restaurants in the plaza, but during the mornings, no issues with finding a spot.

We came around 11 am and had the worst experience with our server Gael. The first thing we noticed off the rip was that he took a while to ask for our order and or introduce himself. Gael then continued to get confused and bring the wrong order. We let him know and with an awful attitude he brought us our correct order after a WHILE. He didn't check on us once our food got here and we had to call on him for any needs or wants. Then when our check finally came, he rung us up for the wrong items. Regardless of how disappointed we were with our service, the food was good! Am willing to give it a second try eventually!!

This restaurant was clean, the food was great, and the service was top-notch!! I came for breakfast and left feeling full and ready to conquer my day!!! Clean silverware, the menu was clean and didn't feel sticky, the booth was clean, the table and floor were clean, minus 1-star because the condiments were empty on the table. Would come back again when I am in town!

5 Stars -- An Amazing Family Celebration After Nora's Baptism…read more We came to Richie's Diner in Rancho Cucamonga after a very special morning for our family, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about the experience. Earlier that morning, our daughter Nora was baptized at Water of Life Church, which was a huge moment for her and for all of us as a family. Afterward, we wanted a place where we could sit down with friends and family, relax, enjoy a good meal, and continue celebrating the day. Richie's Diner ended up being the perfect choice. We had a group of 12, which is not always easy for a restaurant to handle, especially on a day when everyone is excited, hungry, talking, laughing, and trying to keep the kids settled. But Richie's handled it without any issue at all. From the moment we walked in, everything felt organized, welcoming, and comfortable. Nobody made us feel like our group was an inconvenience. That matters. A lot of restaurants can technically seat a bigger party, but not every restaurant actually makes that group feel wanted. Richie's did. The customer service was honestly the highlight of the visit, and Francisco deserves a huge shout-out. He was absolutely amazing with our table. He was attentive, friendly, patient, and had the kind of personality that makes a meal feel more personal. He did not just take orders and disappear. He actually engaged with us. What really stood out was how he took the time to talk WWE with the kids. That may sound like a small thing, but it meant a lot. The kids loved it. They lit up because he was not just treating them like kids sitting at the table; he was treating them like part of the experience. That kind of service cannot be faked. Francisco made the meal more fun and memorable for them, and as a parent, I really appreciate that. The manager, Jimmy Z, also deserves to be recognized. Jimmy always takes good care of us when we come in, and this visit was no different. He has that old-school hospitality that you do not see as much anymore. He pays attention, checks in, and makes you feel like your business actually matters. When he found out we were there celebrating Nora's baptism, he gave her a candy on the house, which was a very sweet gesture. Again, it may sound simple, but those are the moments people remember. Nora felt special, and that was the whole point of the day. Jimmy also gave us some cookies to take home, which was completely unnecessary but very much appreciated. It was thoughtful, generous, and just another example of why we keep coming back. The whole staff did a great job with our group. With 12 people, there are always extra requests, drink refills, kids needing something, people changing their minds, or food coming out at different times. But everything went smoothly. Our waiter took care of us without missing a beat. The food came out hot, the orders were right, and nobody at our table felt forgotten. That is not easy with a larger party, and it says a lot about how well the place is run. Now, the food was excellent too. I had the omelette, and it was perfect. A good omelette sounds simple, but anyone who eats breakfast out knows there is a big difference between an average omelette and one that is actually done right. This one was cooked properly, had great flavor, and hit exactly the way a classic diner breakfast should. It was hearty without being sloppy, and everything tasted fresh. The homemade jelly was another standout. That stuff is amazing. You can tell the difference immediately between basic packaged jelly and something that actually has character and flavor. It added a little something extra to the meal and made the breakfast feel more homemade and special. Those little details are part of what separates a place like Richie's from a generic breakfast spot. My wife ordered the ribeye steak, and it was grilled outside to perfection. The flavor was excellent, and the cook on it was exactly what you hope for when ordering a steak at a diner-style restaurant. It had that grilled flavor, good texture, and was clearly handled with care. Sometimes restaurants treat steak like an afterthought on a breakfast or diner menu, but that was not the case here. Her ribeye was legitimately impressive. Our friend ordered the filet mignon, and that was exceptional as well. It is not every day you go to a diner and hear someone at the table talking about how good the filet mignon is, but that was the case here. It was cooked well, flavorful, and definitely exceeded expectations. Between the omelette, the ribeye, the filet, and the sides, everyone at our table left happy. What I appreciate most about Richie's Diner is that it still feels like a real family restaurant. There is something very traditional and comforting about it. You walk in and it feels like a place where people know how to treat customers. The food is good, the portions are solid, the staff is kind, and management is present. That combination is hard to find.

I ordered a diced ham scramble with homestyle potatoes. The ham in the photo looked sautéed with some char, but in person it tasted more parboiled/warmed than actually cooked on the grill. The potatoes had an odd enchilada-style seasoning and were inconsistent, some were cold and chewy while others tasted fresh. A second dish we ordered came with hash browns, they were dry and underseasoned. The biscuits tasted more like sheet-pan biscuits than homemade. We also tried the "famous" coffee cake (lemon poppyseed flavor that day), but it was extremely tart to the point it made your mouth pucker. For $53 for 2 entrées at a diner breakfast, we expected much better quality and freshness. The concept has a lot of potential, but overall it felt overpriced and underwhelming.
