Always liked this specific Bakers until today. The guy at the drive thru kept saying he can't hear us numerous times. My husband spoke super loud but ok we went up to the window to order. We ordered the twin kitchen meal with ice tea and were given lemonade. Meal came with a taco, no taco in the bag. Food tasted off, meat tasted old, taco stale. No receipt given to us. Always drive extra to this particular Bakers cause usually very fresh. I don't know if it was because we redeemed points that we get the bad old food? Our first time here at this location, ordered from rue drive thru, , the lady spoke clearly through the intercom. She also made sure to ask if we wanted hot sauce/ ketchup. Bakers is getting way out of hand. I'll likely never go back because it was so ridiculous. I ordered a "small twin kitchen." The associate asks if I want to go large. I decline. His next words are "are grilled onions okay on that?" In my world and most everyone else's, this implies he is checking that they're okay because they come on the burger. This is clearly a sales pitch tactic they're being trained to use because ordinarily the question would be, "do you want to add grilled onions on that?" I get my total and it seems high so I ask. He says "you declined large so I went with medium." I told him that I ordered a small. I get my receipt and notice the up-charge for the onions. I consider saying something, but figure they must be desperate if they're tricking customers into spending .80 on onions. Went thru the drive-thru to grab breakfast for me and my daughter today. The burritos were tasty, as always, but what made this trip memorable was the worker named Alex. You know how most fast food drive-thru workers are low energy like they don't want to be there? Alex was the opposite. He was super hyped and extremely positive. You could hear it in his voice. He also spoke clearly and slowly, and made sure to repeat the order. He also made suggestions. At the window he was exactly the same, making sure we had all the sauces and so forth. With an extremely positive and respectful attitude, and a smile. This may not sound like much to ask, but when you rarely see it anywhere, it really stands out. I would avoid eating at this place. We walked in on Saturday evening and the employee behind the counter noticed us walking towards the counter. She turned her back on us and didn't say anything. We ordered our food from the kiosk and sat down. Our number was called and I walked up to the counter. The employee handed me a bag and drink then turned away. I asked for some ketchup and hot sauce. The employee sat the sauce on the counter then turned away without saying a single word. I then asked for some napkins. The employee grabbed three napkins and handed them to me. While eating the food the employee was standing at the counter on her personal phone having a loud conversation which lasted at least five minutes. The food wasn't good and the employee working here doesn't care about making customers feel welcome. We were the only customers in the establishment. We got more interaction from the kiosk! Listen I work in food service so im very understanding to other food service workers and im not one to write negative reviews, but I just came back from this bakers drive thru and im pretty upset, I went and ordered fries, a burrito and a drink, when I got to the window I asked the girl if I could get buffalo sauce, she said "The sweet baby rays sauce? We charge for that one", which I figured since most places charge for sauce now, so I asked if there was any free sauces for example ketchup or hot sauce that most places offer for free, she said let me ask, I believe she grabbed her manager who then came to the window with a terrible attitude, the manager opened the window and turned to the employee and said "What do they want" I believe the employee said "If we charge for sauce" the manager then looked at me and said yes we charge for sauce and then SLAMMED the window in my face without me even saying anything, it was insanely rude and left me and my boyfriend stunned, I wasn't trying to get free sauce I was literally just trying to ask if they had ketchup or something but I didn't even want it anymore after that. Holy hell. This is possibly the worst Baker's I've ever been to. The woman at the counter was not personable. She just acted like we were bothering her. Her name was Magdalena. When our food was ready they couldn't even be bothered to call our number to let us know it was ready. So it sat at the counter for a bit until I went up there and saw that it was ours. So I grabbed it and had to figure out which drink was ours. Then we noticed that there were no tomatoes on our sandwiches. When we asked about it they told us that they were out of tomatoes. After hearing so many great things about Baker's, we decided to finally give it a try. Went through the drive-thru this morning as we were craving a breakfast burritos. While my chorizo and egg burrito was tasty, I felt it lacked flavor. I was expecting something spicier, which I didn't get. Maybe because it was loaded with cheese. Not that extra cheesiness is a bad thing, it just took away from the robust flavor of the chorizo. Also ordered a side of hash browns, and was given a little bag of tater tots. Yummy? Yes, but not hash browns. It took us this long to finally try Baker's, and after today's visit, not sure we'll be back in a hurry. There are lots of breakfast burrito options in Rancho. This is one of my favorite stops to grab a quick bite on my way to Vegas, traveling on the 15. It's usually breakfast or early lunch. But this location is always a pleasant experience. Good, tasty food and friendly service. I've been to other locations along (or near) the 15, and this place is my go-to. Onto the food, I haven't been disappointed yet. It ain't gourmet, but it's made to order and tastes as good as any other bigger-name fast food. The habanero ketchup is so good, it may even be my #1 reason to visit. I've mainly ordered from the breakfast and American menu and will have to venture off into the Mexican menu for tacos and burritos soon! Baker's does have a large selection of food items and even vegetarian options, so it's a hard decision on what to order. The real ice cream shakes are a must get also. The flavors are great and knowing it's real ice cream, makes 'em even better! Some locations feel older than others, but this location is clean and the ordering counter/menu boards are kept in order.Restrooms are clean as well. My only issue is that there aren't any Bakers in the OC. :( read more

I've come to this Baker's location a few times and have always been greeted by friendly employees. My husband was in awe of the tacos and insisted that I try them. I have to admit their Taco Tuesday special (99 cent tacos) is a deal and I thought the tacos tasted good. It was obvious the ingredients were fresh. They were reminiscent of the tacos from Pup-N-Taco we would take to the drive-in movies when I was a kid. What caught my eye is Baker's vegetarian menu! I'm not a vegetarian but I do try to eat more healthy food than not-so-healthy stuff. I posted a picture of the vegetarian menu as a reminder that this place has healthy options. I had never really discovered Baker's until this location opened a few years ago, in fact I can't ever remember eating at a Baker's before then. I always thought it was sort of a half assed concept to have Taco Bell and McDonald's style restaurants combined, but lately I have been coming here a lot for their breakfast. My go-to is their machaca burrito and I add potato. The machaca burrito comes with machaca, egg, and cheese, but adding potato (has brown sticks) takes it over the top. I also really like their chorizo and potato tacos, which are chorizo, egg, cheese, and come with potato already. In a burrito, the chorizo is really oily and greesy, so I haven't gotten them since the second time I tried it, but as a taco it doesn't seem as greesy for some reason. They don't serve breakfast all day, which is a bummer, but they go till 11am, which isn't so bad. They also have Sprite Zero, which is somewhat rare for a fast food joint. For a quick weekend breakfast, Baker's has become one of my go to spots, and I'm glad that I didn't keep discounting their model and gave it a shot! read more

I order the Monterey Chicken Sandwich - Mama Meal which consisted of their Monterey Chicken Sandwich (Grilled all white meat chicken topped with jack cheese and mild, roasted green chilis with lettuce and tomato in a white bun), medium French Fries, and a Medium Fountain Drink. The sandwich was nice and hot with a juicy piece of chicken and fresh condiments. The roasted green chili added an unexpected level of flavor which was awesome.
