Listen folks, if you've never worked fast food, please don't be so quick to judge. I know there are a ton of people out there who work fast food but are just terrible employees, I know that. But there are also a ton of people who take pride in what they do, no matter the job. Having worked fast food myself in the past (taco bell and burger king) I have an understanding of what it takes, what it takes out of you, and the challenges that it consists of. That being said, my most recent but 1st visit to this Wienerschnitzel was a really enjoyable one. There was 1 cashier working the drive and the dining room(frustrating because in fast food you are given the bare minimum to run the place) . I came here out of curiosity because I am from the East Coast and there aren't these where I'm from. I also lived in Chicago for a few years and fell in love with Portillo's and the Chicago-style hot dogs, and when I saw it on the menu here, I got one. It was good! I will also throw out there that the Thousand Island fries here are a better version of In n Out's animal-style (don't kill me, all y'all Californians)! I always found the fries at In n Out to dry out quickly; but the fries here are smothered under the toppings so they stay pretty flavorful. Try these out. To the Manager, I hope the lady who served us (by the drive thru) just few minutes ago is not the manager. I Ordered our 3 corn dogs,large fries and a mini sundae & the lady who took my card and gave our ordered did not say a word at all. Even after i said thank you. She got my card, gave it back to me, gave our bag of order, then went back to get the sundae and handed me the sundae without any single word. I thought i would mention because this reflects customer service,right? (As we were leaving), My 8 year old son even told me, "wow! Not even a single word mom. She could have said thank you, or you're welcome when you said thank you, or have a nice day when she gave our orders"...Even my 3rd grader thought of it! My son has peanut allergies, when he is anywhere new he likes for us to confirm the ice cream he's getting has no peanuts (I know there are no peanuts, but I ask anyway so he has peace of mind). So we get to the window and ask the team member n drive thru if there are any nuts in the ice cream. Her response was "no, just vanilla ice cream... but you know how it is." and walked away. So we ask her for a little clarification. And she gave us the same answer. I told her that the correct response she should give customers is "there are no nuts in the vanilla ice cream, however we do carry products that contain peanuts so we can't guarantee there's no cross contamination". Came here after a very disappointing experience at Combine Kitchen. Very friendly staff, wasn't a long wait either. They forgot to give us two of our corn dogs but they were very apologetic and polite about it. The food was delicious. We got the crowd pleasers $10 meal, three chili dogs, three corn dogs, and three fries. So good and hit the spot perfectly. So tonight was interesting. We got our order which was just 2 chili dogs, 2 fries, and a polish sausage sandwich. We asked for a side of chili for the sandwich. So as we got our food and slowly left, we got right back into the drive thru something wasn't right. Why do we have 2 bags instead of just 1? So we realized they gave us a CUP of chili instead of just a side and charged us for the cup too. The regular side of chili that we asked for is only like 85 cents. So at the window they basically was trying to tell us all of the receipts are long like that due to new management.... huh? What does that have anything to do with you charging us 4 bucks for a cup of chili we didnt even ask for. We just got fed up since we knew it wasnt getting anywhere with that situation. An older store but looks clean enough! Right next to Golden Spoon which is a plus!! Park next to the Golden Spoon and walk across so you don't get hit crossing the drive thru! Wienersnichel Chili Dogs are just something I crave once in a while and they have a unique taste all thier own. Two chili dogs in soft buns from steaming in its wrapper takes me back to my childhood when these were a real treat! Went to get some dessert paid almost $8.00 for two things ordered a chocolate shake thick got a runny vanilla one because that's all you could taste was vanilla since they apparently didn't hardly put any chocolate in it!! I would give 0 stars if I could. Avoid this location and go to another one if you can. This location is very skimpy on portions. I ordered chili cheese fries just to open the box and only have like 10 fries inside. I always order chili cheese fries & a corn dog and will be full off that but I'm not full at all. I was able to see the white at the bottom of the box before I could even dig in. Wouldn't satisfy a 1 year old if it was their meal for the day.
