    Taco plate
    Judy a.

I got the eight dollar taco plate. It was enough. It was really good Why you didn't get five stars , you shouldn't have charged us extra for pico de gallo. That was a little offset to me.

The tacos are the best !! However, I was truly disappointed when I was charged for a glass a water. Not bottled. This is the first time I ever order water. Is this even legal ?? I was so disappointed. I always tip at least 20% so those .60 could have gone to my soon to be Mother- Faith who is pleasant with great service. It's just the point- SMH

If you're hungry, you can add many different sides. The sausage are a decent size and not the whimpy ones.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast. Kind of a creatures of habit, so I will usually get their French toast. I tried their cinnamon revolution French toast, but that wasn't as moist so I went back to the traditional. We also like to come for their taco Tuesdays. Only a few bucks per taco, the hard shell tacos just like my mom used to make us as a kid. Customer service is usually pretty good. Wait times aren't too long. The restaurant was remodeled a few years ago but looks like a mom and pop diner.

Liver and onions, the matador and a kids combo

My husbands face when I said I wanted Brandon's for dinner was priceless- but by the end of our meal we were excited for our next visit. I read about the liver and onions in a local group and was intrigued, they were delicious!!! The portion was generous and we both had a box of leftovers for tomorrow.

Meatloaf sandwich and Chile verde fries

Service was great. Our server was very attentive. The soda cups are big and the side salad was delicious and a nice size. Hubby had the meatloaf sandwich and he said it was "pretty good". However I had the vile verde fries and the flavor was lacking authenticity. Seemed like one of the older locations but nicely decorated. I did notice there was a little bar in the corner.

Perfect for avoiding the crowd. I ordered the "Accident #1" which is a Chicken Fried Steak, Gravy, 3 eggs and includes two sides. I chose the Country Potatoes and Homemade Biscuit. Delicious and generous portions. It was everything I was hoping for and left no crumbs behind. The service was warm, friendly and I also loved the retro diner vibe of the place. I left happy with my cravings satisfied!

I ordered a diced ham scramble with homestyle potatoes. The ham in the photo looked sautéed with some char, but in person it tasted more parboiled/warmed than actually cooked on the grill. The potatoes had an odd enchilada-style seasoning and were inconsistent, some were cold and chewy while others tasted fresh. A second dish we ordered came with hash browns, they were dry and underseasoned. The biscuits tasted more like sheet-pan biscuits than homemade. We also tried the "famous" coffee cake (lemon poppyseed flavor that day), but it was extremely tart to the point it made your mouth pucker. For $53 for 2 entrées at a diner breakfast, we expected much better quality and freshness. The concept has a lot of potential, but overall it felt overpriced and underwhelming.

I ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon, which were both cooked to perfection. And my mom had the chilaquiles. Both very delicious. We've dined here maybe 5 times and had really great experiences. We recommended this place to a bunch of friends. Their hours are 8-2. My friends showed up at 12 and got turned away. They told them it was slow so they closed early. I was in disbelief, so I called the restaurant myself, and they said if i come in within 10 mins, they can seat me. Strange, why did my friends get turned away then?? Thought it was a one time thing, so begged my friends to give it another shot. Came back another day around 12:30, same thing happened. We got turned away. The owner was very apologetic at least. Was craving their food and wanted to have it again. This time, didnt want to be turned away after driving 20 minutes. So we gave them a call when we were on the road- "Can you seat us if we arrive in a few mins?" They said yes. We show up, the restaurant is empty (slow hours), and suddenly their "grill, hood, and other kitchen equipment" all stopped working. Within the last 5 mins, their equipment broke and they cleared out the whole restaurant???? Love their food but won't be wasting my gas to come here again.

For the most part it seems to be a place for an older crowd who wanna get away from the loud sports bars like yard house. I can agree with that sentiment. It is a nice reprieve from the otherwise packed areas of Victoria gardens as it is on the outskirts. The food is delicious and it prides itself on being low in calories. For how good it tastes you would expect a higher price, but that's another reason people like coming here. You don't feel overstuffed and you don't feel like someone robbed you for your wallet. Drinks are on point! The only gripe I have about this restaurant, is the old fashioned!!! They need to get a better cocktail glass for that drink and stop serving it with a bunch of ice. Just get the sphere or cube ice. Please! The staff are always friendly and accommodating!!! From the hosts, bartenders, and waiters/waitresses, they all do a great job at making you feel welcome! Big shoutout to Jasmine, Ashley, and Ron!!! They're great people who go above and beyond to make your visit better than the last. Come try em out for yourself!
