Very concerning and disappointing experience at this location. While my family and I were eating, a cockroach came out from under a seat and walked directly toward our booth. We had to lift our legs in disgust. This is absolutely unacceptable in a restaurant. We immediately informed staff and even showed video evidence, yet no manager came to address the situation. One employee laughed when told, and there was no sense of urgency or concern for customer safety. Two members of our group felt so uncomfortable that they had to leave without finishing their meal. I reported this incident to the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health. Although the inspection later showed no violations, that does not reflect what we personally experienced that night. I also contacted corporate multiple times and was promised follow-up within 48 hours, which never happened. No resolution, no accountability, no response. I was a bit disappointed, came here around midnight since everything else is closed at this time. Zesty Nachos, saved the night. Their chicken tenders are good, just a bit too salty. Ordered a Slam burger with my eggs sunny side and I assumed that the yolk would be runny like how it always is when I order a slam, but it was cooked all the way through. The hash browns as well that was on the burger just tasted burnt like I couldn't taste the actual hash brown. The main letdown was the runny yolk I was hoping for. This was a take out order. The pot roast melt was soggy. Had to air fry the melt again to get it crispy by the time I got home. The pot roast meat was very tender, so that at least was a plus. overall, the melt was not very flavorful. Would not order again. The country fried steak was crispy, and seasoned nicely. I asked for gravy on the side. What looks like gravy in the photo is their poor version of mash potatoes. It was watery, runny, and tasted questionable. Not sure what in the world happened there. This location was renovated fairly recently so the decor and furniture has a nice updated feel to it. The food and is on par with other Denny's locations so no negatives there. Our server was quick and efficient, and the food also came out quickly. If you're looking for a breakfast and a coffee at Denny's, you won't be disappointed at this location. We came around 11 am and had the worst experience with our server Gael. The first thing we noticed off the rip was that he took a while to ask for our order and or introduce himself. Gael then continued to get confused and bring the wrong order. We let him know and with an awful attitude he brought us our correct order after a WHILE. He didn't check on us once our food got here and we had to call on him for any needs or wants. Then when our check finally came, he rung us up for the wrong items. We came to this location last night. Only reason this place gets 5 stars is because the young man with gold fabulous painted nails had excellent customer service/waiting skills. We were sat then forgotten about for at least 15minutes even though I'm assuming the older guy that's a manager because his shirt was a different color and the young blonde girl walked by us numerous times and made eye contact just ignore us. No drink orders, no acknowledgment that someone would get to us. Nothing. It wasn't busy. There were only maybe 5 tables with people out of the whole place. It wasn't until gold nail polish guy spotted us and immediately apologized and then was amazing and attentive while we ordered and ate. Today was the first time in many, many years that I have eaten at Denny's. It was so long ago, I can't even remember the last time. The main reason we decided on Denny's this morning is because their commercials have been flooded on tv. Every time we see the commercial lately, my husband comments that we should go. Today was that day... As I previously mentioned, we stopped in today, and had a delicious breakfast. Besides the food being yummy, I was very impressed with the service. Everyone was very friendly and warm. Breakfast was served outside, and all COVID regulations were tightly observed. Masks on, and everyone seated at least 6 feet apart. As for the food, I had the Belgian waffle slam, and my husband had an omelet, hash browns, and toast. After not having eaten at Denny's for years, we were very impressed, and pleasantly surprised. I've always had good experiences at this Denny's during the night shift, but today during the day shift was a nightmare. The staff didn't walk us to a table, and the hostess questioned whether four of us were eating, even though the rest of our group was just behind us. #42 for 2021 I came here early this morning after dropping my car off to get my windshield replaced. In door seating is now open. Not much people in yet but I know that will change in a couple hours. I hope to be out of here by then. After the warm greeting I ask for the last booth down the aisle against the window. I was accommodated. I order $3.49 hot chocolate. That shows up shortly. Happy for that. It's a bit chilly. Still not ready to order trying to decide between a slam, omelet or pancakes. I decide on the Lumberjack Slam. Service is good. Denny's is not one I visit often. There's really nothing bad. The food is good. The 11 page menu, large format, does take time to go through. It does change from time to time. I've been here for lunch and dinner but I mainly think of Denny's for breakfast. And there are some nice discounts and advantages to dining here. Endless refills on their soda, coffees, teas and hot chocolate is a good start. If you're a member of AARP you can get 15% off your bill. AAA members gets 10% discount. Depending on location active military will either get 10% or 20% off. There's a Senior menu for those 55 and over. I like the Wild Salmon there with 2 sides for $10.79. The best deal is when you sign up for the rewards program. You'll get an email back good for 20% off the entire bill. If you are going to use that there needs to be a little planning. When you sign up the email comes back to you close to 24 hours after. So if you're sitting there, signing up, thinking you're going to use it then it's not going to work. I suggest you bring a bunch of your friends to go with you so you all can get the discount and take turns signing up. All that can be applied to your rewards program. With that many friends it will not take long for you to hit $100 to get a $10 coupon back. That's practically another meal. Now repeat. lol The Slam breakfasts started as a campaign tied into the MLB hence the Grand Slam. They were very popular being these large breakfast combo meals that every strong baseball player would love to eat. They're still pretty big. The Lumberjack Slam I ordered is pancakes, bacon, ham, sausage, eggs and hash browns. I chose sourdough for my bread to go along with it. All that for $13.69 is not bad. I couldn't eat the pancakes and 1 toast. I was full. It came out hot and delicious. Everything was cooked right. Bacon is crispy. Ham tasty and snapped when I bit into it. Sausage juices dripping. I like to eat my over easy eggs on the toast with ketchup and hot sauce. Let it drip into the hash browns so no flavor, or egg, is wasted. So good. You can build your own slam for $10.79 and have it your way. For the pancake breakfasts I like to go fruity. I haven't had the $10.99 Double Berry Banana Breakfast yet. That's what I would like to get. That's a good deal and it comes with eggs, hash browns with a choice of bacon or sausage. Wow. I like how they now offer a $10.99 Loaded Veggie omelette for those looking to make healthy decisions. Made with 3 eggs, peppers, mushrooms, spinach, onions, tomato and Swiss cheese. For $13.49 you can build your own choosing up to 4 ingredients. This is a sample of what Denny's can do for you. I've got to start coming more often myself to take advantage of these deals. Just went in a couple of hours ago with my wife for the first time in I don't know how many years, just to be reminded as to why I hadn't been back. Out server (An African-American middle age), took our order rather quickly but after waiting for about 40 minutes and seeing other tables that had arrived later than us were being served we started looking for our server. What got more interesting was the fact that when I finally saw her, she was on her way out, like she was already going home!!! She never took the time to inform us that someone else was taking care of us from that point on or the status of our order!!
