Be careful not to get scammed by this place and the table top kiosk. We found a $2.99 charge on our receipt for the Games but nobody at the table even touched that. The only thing we used the kiosk for was rewards and payment. Absolutely terrible customer service with lousy food that wasn't worth the wait. We sat for 20-30 minutes and the server for the area never approached us. 'Ana' kept looking at us, but made no effort to make sure we had been able to place our order. The customer waiting at the table behind us walked out, loudly accusing the server of being racist because she didn't seem to want to serve our area, but quickly came over and spoke Spanish with another customer who had just been seated. I had to leave the table and speak with the kitchen manager in order to place our order. Once received, the food was mediocre at best. My dad's veggies were soft and mushy, they were obviously day old and overcooked. The bacon on my chicken sandwich was hard, dry and inedible. One thing I can say about this Norms is, they for sure make my food fresh because, everytime I go to pick it up, it's never ready, and I've always had to wait! One of the times I went, I saw Mr.Tendernism himself. I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my food (per usual, lol) and my head was down on my phone. He spoke to me as he was passing by, and when I looked up, I saw it was him. It didn't dawn on me who he was, until he walked out. WHY I CAME HERE? My eldest daughter and I were at the Norms in Ontario Mills for a very late dinner. Lucky for us, they were still open. Our very first visit ever at a Norms and they have been open since 1949... 76 years later. Better late than never! Glad to finally catch them in this lifetime LOL. Now that's a menu!! Choices are endless... okay, almost endless LOL. Well, after much contemplations on what to eat, we decided on 3 items. OMG... when our food came out, my eyes widened with astonishment. Portions were ENORMOUS! Prices were so very reasonable. Definitely got the BEST BANG for our BUCK! Triple B's!! One men's restroom and one women's restroom for use... please ask the staff for key code that's required. EXTERIOR / PARKING: No outside seating for dining except for a few benches for people to sit while waiting for their table to be ready. Thanks for being thoughtful to your customers, Norms! Free parking is available. If lot gets full, you can park in the general parking on the other side of the drive path. You have the entire Ontario Mills parking lot to choose from. We don't live near a Norm's, so it's a treat to visit one. On 7/20, we went into the Norm's on Fourth in Ontario. It felt like we were eating in a warehouse. Norms continues to be one of our go-to places nearly a few times a month due to the sheer variety of food and prices, and especially promotions. The menu is much larger than you might find at an IHOP or Denny's, and if you compare the pricing, it's surprisingly better value, especially if you look at the value menu but even for normal entrées if you compare what you get. For example, for a similar fish entree that you might get at IHOP, at Norms you get more sides, you get soup and salad, it's a better value overall. In the value menu, you can get a full fish dinner for under $13, you can't find that anywhere else. Service at this Norms was friendly but a bit too slow. Our table seemed to wait nearly 30 minutes from the time we sat down until the time we got our food, which is a bit long if you've got little little ones. But we were there on a Friday evening, so we expected to wait a little longer than average. The other thing that has changed things recently for us is the Norms app which we recently downloaded, it has provided a lot of discounts and promos. It has brought us back sometimes in the same week. Our experiences with Norms in Los Angeles have been very good in the past. This was our first visit to a Norms post-Covid, and it was disappointing. Clearly understaffed for a Sunday midday crowd, service was slow and inattentive. Twice I had to go up to the counter to ask for something after waiting and waiting for our server to bring it to us. The Menu has been stripped down to essentially burgers, steps, fried foods, and breakfast items. I decided to try a "new" breakfast item, the Cali-Cado Benny -- i.e , Benedict. It was pretty good: 2 toasted English muffin halves, grilled tomato, fresh avocado, 2 poached eggs topped with Hollandaise, bacon and green onions. I ordered the eggs "soft with runny yolks", yet the kitchen sent out two eggs with yolks as hard as golf balls! No excuse. I sent them back for a new plate prepared as ordered. Second order was better but also not as ordered. Rather go around a third time with the kitchen, I decided to quit while I was ahead. In short, no need to return here. The servers here didn't acknowledge us at all. We waited almost 30 minutes and couldn't even get water. They helped tables that arrived well after us first. Only when we started getting up to leave did they finally come over. As soon as we walked by, one of the servers said "don't worry about them." Stopped at the Norm's in Ontario before heading home to Barstow. Brianna was a fantastic server. She delivered our drinks quickly and with a great smile. She brought out the soup, salad and appetizers before our main course which is so important. Brianna delivered our delicious fettuccine with a great smile. Throughout our time here she has checked on us many times making sure our drinks were full and that we had all we needed. I love the ambiance in the restaurant. It is so cutely decorated. My only suggestion would be to either take down the Welcome balloons or at dust then. We sat under them and on the back side they were very dusty. The waitress Wendi was so simple she doesn't have any empathy for the customers she work only for the tips ? That's wrong. RACIST STAFF against Black and White Customers !BEWARE!! This staff only accommodates SPANISH SPEAKERS !! My husband and I came in and sat for 15 minutes and noticed all the waitresses had completely ignored us. We made note that when Spanish speakers, whom were speaking Spanish had come to sit down in the booths right next to us, in front and another group in the back of us, the waitress appeared within 1.5 - 2 minutes to take both their orders. When we interrupted and informed the waitress we had been sitting there for 15 minutes, she said she did not see us. I asked for waitress' name, and she said "Catalina" . I also in formed the manager and he debugged the unprofessional discriminatory service, but was watching the entire time. I informed the waitress that we were deliberately ignored and she was only serving the Spanish Speaking customers. I asked a Black couple and they informed me they were going to leave as well, due to not being waited on as well. We left and will never return. I was really looking forward to a delicious authentic Cajun style gumbo thick flavorful and packed with depth but this just did not deliver. The broth was thick but it tasted more like a tomato based chicken and sausage soup than gumbo and the ingredients seemed canned rather than fresh. It is not awful just disappointing.
