my family and I go to this Denny's ever sunday after church, almost every Sunday for the last three months. Seems like the staff is comsistantly behind, whether it be from a manpower issue or bad work ethic. Everyone from greeter to waiter usually has to have instructions repeated to them. Sunday morning came for breakfast after church. Didn't appear to be very busy. Extremely disappointed. Food was cold. Service horrible. Had to ask for silverware waited more time food still cold. When we sat down the first things we heard was a worker in the back cursing and complaining about how things are bad and how hot it is. Hubby and I went there on a Saturday mid morning, the parking lot was full, there was a homeless woman sitting on the curb out front, I gave her five dollars, hope she got something to eat with it. When we enter the restaurant we were escorted to a table that had not been cleaned so we had to stand and wait until it was cleaned, we ordered breakfast mine was not that good, I ordered soft scrambled eggs but got over cooked ones, the lemonade was not good had to get it replaced with coke and the waffles were cold, needless to say Denny's is off my list of places to eat. read more

Just recently moved out here from California. Went to this Denny's 3 Times. The first time I went It was after dinner time. They were not very busy. Wanted a to go order. One of the waitresses was cleaning off a table. They other one was talking with her friends. So I left. Couple days later I went back but this time in the morning. That service was great. So I tried to give the night shift another chance. Walked in before the dinner shift this time. One lady told me she was on her lunch and called for the other one to come up and help me. The other one was too busy sitting at a booth with her girlfriend. What kind of restaurant has service like that. Well I guess this one does. I walked out of there for the second time. I wish there was a way to give this place less stars than one. The food usually either not what you ordered, cold or just a sloppy mess. The restaurant is also, a sloppy mess and has a really off putting smell. The servers show as little interest as possible in the customers and many go out of the way to be flat out rude. I order coffee and not only is the coffee cold, but there is a lipstick smudge on it. I wasn't really a big fan of Denny's until I visited this location, the staff are very friendly and make you feel like family no fakeness its all real! I can charge my devices up on the bottom of the seats while I wait for my food! The foods ready in like 7-15 minutes depending on what you order. The best thing about this Denny's is that the food was hot and really delicious including the dessert, which is exactly the opposite experience i had at a denny's in Chicago! Ill keep coming back for a long time, and hopefully make it for the grand reopening this Friday! Came here with my husband, and we love dennys but this was absolutely horrible , the food is good but the service is terrible. We didn't even have a waitress we had multiple people trying to take care of us and it was about 10 mins before we even got our order taken. Then my husbands food and our appetizer comes out but not mine, so after about 20 mins of waiting my husbands talks to the staff and they put a rush on it but it was still about 20 mins before j got my food never coming back to this dennys. read more

We visited this Denny's on Saturday November, 11th. Although we confused the date for the Veteran's Day celebration and free meal (along with a LOT of others) the manager honored the free meal offer for all the veterans coming in. And as I said there were a LOT of veterans. The staff remained calm and friendly although they were swamped with veterans. The meal was served timely and it was fresh and properly cooked. read more

I am currently sitting here at this restaurant Killeen Texas, 3-9-11 1:03 is when I got here. Didn't get helped or even addressed till around 1:10pm, and it was another 10 minutes before I got helped and I had to get the manager to get helped. Still haven't received my meal and its 1:39. I had to stand and wait several people made eye contact and no one said anything. There was a male at the front register he came back and forth about 3 times and did not say a word to me. I finally got seated and waited 10 minutes with servers walking around, not many but a few, and no one ever came to help me and the server to the right just ignored me, guess I wasn't in her section, so I wasn't important. I finally had to get up and get the manager before anyone would help me. Then, he acted like it was no big deal, did not verbally apologize, just took my drink order and then said he would get someone. Other people got sat down slowly, have not been assisted, and were not addressed till I said something. This is the second time I have come and had this poor of service and the third time I have come and it's been extremely slow even when there is not many people here. Do I really have to find somewhere else to eat? Do ya'll not care about your customers or public opinion? If so, I will make sure and not come back and then I'll make sure and let others know don't bother and don't go unless they have several hours to waste, because of the extremely slow service and do not go unless you do not care how you are treated. First of all my family and I love Denny's. But Saturday afternoon I experienced the worst service I have had. First they weren't that busy but the employees were yelling at each other to sit the people waiting to be seated. We were not greeted at all or walked to our table with menus. A waitress said to sit at a booth in a very rude manner. Then another waitress came to give us menus. Got are drink order. Was dude also. got coffee and she never came by to refill it. Good took forever to come out. When it did my family food was over cooked and meat was burned. I ordered a veggie burger. The waitress in a rude voice said that the cook made me a regular burger. And after my family got there food. I had to ask for if I can have my fries so I can eat with my family.it was cold. Then finally Ina few minutes I got my veggie burger. It was so cold and not cooked all the way. The manager came by and was so rude and asked me what was wrong with my food. I told her nicely about everything. She was like ok so... Was so rude. All I ate was a small order of cold fries. Got are ticket and my part of ticket was 11.94 then the manger put $4.00 off. So I was treated like crap. Very affordable. However, you do get what you pay for. Never order their chicken fingers. I was told that By the cook that they keep changing the brand. They are either burnt or a soggy mess even the cook agrees. Their breakfast food is pretty good. I sent the chicken back and got a moon over my hammy. The toast was crispy the eggs were firm but not watery and the hash browns weren't greasy like other dinners. The dinning area is always clean. However, waitstaff is a giant hit or miss. I've come here a couple of times over the years and maybe I'm unlucky but the service is always awful. We tried to come here this morning and it took 30 minutes for the waitress to come take our order after taking several other people's orders that arrived after we did. There were a lot of sad faces at the restaurant for people waiting on their food and that should have been a sign. We decided to just pay for the drinks and go because we were already pretty hungry and didn't want to wait another hour for the food on top of the 30 minute order wait. My husband was very upset. i was so glad to leave. It also smelled awful and I felt really bad for the soldiers standing around waiting for a table even with empty ones available the entire time they were standing. Very disappointed with this diner. The outside should have been a warning--trashy. When I walked in (around 3 pm), most of the tables and booths on the left side had not been cleaned. There was also a odd smell to the place. I ordered the Prime Rib Philly Melt with onion rings. The meat was greasy, the onions were not completely cooked, and there were very few mushrooms. I've eaten this same sandwich at another Denny's, and it was wonderful. This sandwich was OK, but not something I would get again. The fried onion rings were perfectly cooked. My experience here was HORRIBLE!!! It took the waitress 10 to 15 minutes to sit us down. Not ONLY that but to sit us in a quick clean of the moment dirty table. Where there was salt spilled on the seat and table. The ONLY thing we enjoyed was the mozzarella cheese sticks. The food was disturbingly nasty. I only gave this place a 1 instead of nothing because they don't have a nothing button. It was horrible! The place was filthy, the waitress acted like I was invisible and was all but asking for my husband's number. Not only did he feel the need to correct her before I lost it, he had her take my order first as she should have anyways along with my children. Then when the food came my husband got his food and my kids shortly after but my food never came. We asked about it a few times and she rolled her eyes and said she would check on it an disappeared again. I asked my family to go ahead and eat as I knew they were hungry. They were able to finish their food before mine ever came. I had to ask 4 times about my food before they brought it out and then it wasn't even right. It was like they just brought something out just to say the food came. I just wanted to leave at that point. Having worked in the restaurant industry I'm usually VERY easy to serve because I know how stressful it can get, and I don't want to be that a-hole table that ruins the servers shift. My husband and I tried to eat here on Sunday. It was our backup plan because the wait for IHOP was long and we were in a little bit of a hurry. We walk in, and the hostess was utterly confused at what to even say to us...Okay, cool, I understand...Sunday mornings as a server/host are not easy. So we're taken to our table, we sit down - WET. Both the benches and the table are wet, and there are broken crayons and crumbs on my seat. I sat there for a little minute, trying to make it work, then I had to get up and find napkins to clean my own table and bench. My husbands face looked like he was going to be sick. The smell in that restaurant is just awful! It smells like every towel they're using is dirty, and they are using dirty mop water to "clean" the tables. I couldn't help but wonder, if this is how they clean in the front where it is visible to their guests, how clean can the kitchen possibly be? Can we say, unsanitary? ..After a minute or two, the smell got to me, and we had to let the waitress know we wouldn't be staying...she was visibly irritated, but I could NOT imagine spending money in that place. If my first 5 minutes were that bad, I wonder what the rest of the service would be like.....it gets one star, because that's the minimum required. 1- Smell on entry was awful. Smelt like the carpet was wet and dirty or mop water was spilt on it. 2- Server was nervous but that was okay, she took our order pretty quick. 3- Forgot 2 drinks, and the ice tea was old - offered to make it fresh and had to be reminded 2 times that we were short one soda and the ice tea didnt arrive. 12 minutes until the drinks were fixed. 4- No silverware on our table, we had to get it from other tables. Server was looking for the knives and forks and found them a few minutes later. We had helped ourselves by this point. 5- Waited 9 minutes for pancakes to be refilled and drinks. We were the ONLY TABLE of people and there was 6 staff in there chatting. 6- Had to return food as burnt crispy onions were on my steak then covered with fresh onions, the meat was very cold, not even room temperature, the cheese was not melted and the sauce was maybe 1 table spoon full instead of covering the steak.( I have ordered it before I know how it is supposed to be) When I seperated the crispy burnt onions I crunched them in my fingers for the manager. I have pictuers of this meal for anyone that needs it. 7- The second refill of pancakes never arrived. Neither did the refill of drinks. We sat for 14 minutes for the second refil ( Only 2 tables had people at them, 4 waitresses, a manager, and a cook ) where was the manager? She was eating then sat outside for 32 minutes smoking with some of the staff. 8 - We gave up, got up to leave and were met with a huge amount of excuses of why we didn't get refills, why the food was bad, why the service wasnt good. The manager she says is trying to retrain the staff and make it better, and I wonder HOW she is doing this while outside smoking.. while we wait for food and drinks. Our replacement waitress told us that - Our server was on a break.. So husband asked her, well why didnt you serve us since you were the replacement? She had no answer for us. 8 - Sat in the truck and talking to our friends I noticed that all staff except 2 were outside smoking. 30 minutes later they walked inside, then 4 minutes later they were back outside again for another break. I have pictures of the whole process. In short, VERY bad food, very bad service, very bad management, unhealthy unclean resturant, Excuses are plenty if you are unhappy. read more
