She ordered their loaded fries, to try out and have some to take home (for later). I'm thinking she has hobbit blood, and was planning for "second lunch". There was a fair amount of trade going on, and the single server was keeping up with it all with a smile. Checked on us throughout the meal, and kept the drinks filled. Their sweet tea is especially good, much appreciated for Texas tastes in the summer. All of the food was exceptionally tasty, and made fresh - also, no long wait to come out. They also have some tempting dessert items on the board, but frankly we were too stuffed to even consider it. A great option for a meal while in town!

Took a day trip to Killeen to pick up some flooring at lumber liquidators but decided to get something to eat before going. Store looked well organized, clean a d we were seated immediately. I just wanted to say all the experiences lately that I have had eating out have been pretty bad BUT going to this Dennys was absolutely great. Our waitress was Teshawn Green, one of the best waitresses in the world. Took very good care of us. The food was excellent we has the Hearty Slam. Fantastic. We asked Teshwn if she could get the manager out to the diningroom. Mike came out and we talked awhile told him if he didn't make her a manager he was crazy. He said he knew but she didn't want the stress because she is pregnant. She was the best advocate for Dennys and I am a manager for Wendy's and if I lived in Killeen I would have paid her whatever she wanted to steal her. Your company is lucky to have her. Now Mike was great also enjoyed our talk. Great manager skills as you already know. I love managers that take pride in their employees. Thank you for the wonderful experience Teshawn and Mike. Denny's is a wonderful place to eat at! Our waiter Jordyn was the most purest worker there! Denny's was short staffed and Jordyn really tried her best to make the environment feel very up- beat, she was on point with serving and getting items as quickly as she could when we asked. Jordyn seem like she was working there for 3 years, but it turned out that Sunday May 23, 2021 was her last day in training! Congratulations Jordyn i am very proud of you and keep on being a super star! Now on to the food. We ordered the nachos. The nachos was good but the presentation could be better. I had a burger (I forgot the name of it) but the burger was excellent! Presentation was great! Mike is the General Manager there he was very humble and I remember him saying that he has been with the business for 20 years! Way to go Mike! The lunch crowd was growing when we arrived today (Saturday) at lunch time. The receptionist was building a waiting list and taking cell phone numbers to alert people when their table was ready. Michael, the general manager, took charge and started working directly with the wait staff to seat groups wherever the servers had tables in their sections. His efforts cleared the waiting list quickly, and he used the occasion as a teachable moment for his staff, some of whom were obviously new. Our order was taken in minutes, prepared perfectly and delivered hot to our table. Michael not only checked on all the customers in our area, but stopped to talk about the quality of our food and the service. I'll be in the Killeen area for a few more days and will make it a point to dine at this Denny's. read more

I am here in Texas to assist my son and grandson with daycare for several weeks since my daughter-in-law passed away suddenly. I wanted to recognize server Walter S. at this location. He is an EXCEPTIONAL waiter and was very friendly, kind and remembered my 11 year old autistic grandson LOVED the Broccoli side dish with his Spaghetti dinner when we dined at this location in early April. Upon my recent visit to Denny's, I encountered an unusual odor in the dining area, which I found quite off-putting and it significantly diminished my appetite. It was surprising to encounter such an issue in an establishment that serves food. Despite the discomfort caused by the smell, I found the quality of the food to be satisfactory. Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations. The waiter's demeanor was unwelcoming, which further detracted from my dining experience. Popped in at noon on a friday and it was kinda quiet. Ok, third time i walk in here. entry smells like piss . BAD. got sat down in a booth and it was fairly clean. got our orders done quickly with a smile. Our server seemed a bit lazy, but polite. never picked up papers she dropped on the floor. Front office lady was checking people out in PJ pants. its been 25min now since our drinks came. those seated are eating but our simple meals are not out. Expect a long wait and lukewarm/cold food. Don't even think about asking for anything extra like more butter for pancakes, you won't see it. Doesn't help when the employees are going all over the restaurant apologizing to customers over wait or poor food quality. If no stars was an option then that's what they would have received. read more

The only thing to note is that a lot of dishes don't come with sides automatically. If you want eggs, bacon, etc., you'll have to add them separately. (I wasn't a fan of the rap music only because it did not compliment the decor and food.) 4 stars because the food is seasoned and reasonably priced: I ordered the pork chops, as a measure, to see if my next trip would be worth the drive. When they said it was going to take a little longer because of the thickness, I had a bit of regret ordering it. I was extremely suprised that the pork chops were well done to the bone! Take a look at the picture, chops are not dried out! The yams, were a nice treat. Sweet enough for a dessert. I should have ordered extra cornbread. Delicious! The mac and cheese: not overly mushy. The cook did not hold back on the cheese. I am so happy with the homecook taste. I will be back to try the chicken and waffles.

Fair pricing in general but tor the amount of food we got, great pricing! We ended up leaving with 6 styrofoam boxes however and it's definitely a lot of waste in that department. It could have easily been combined into 3-4 at most. The catfish and okra were great, as was the spaghetti which had a bit of a kick to it. The grilled cheese my daughter got was a bit burnt and the cabbage was over cooked but overall great good for a great price. I would try other menu items there in the future.
