Messages with door dasher
Angelica A.

This is honestly the last time I will ever DoorDash any order from here. Last time it was the pancakes, and this time it it with no condiments in the order that was placed. When I called in the General manager was there and was blaming me for not requesting it. Let him know it was common scene to add it. Informed him that I was going to drive there to replace the order and get a fresh one with all the condiments. When I went in he was still saying it was my fault for not asking for it. I pulled out my phone and informed him where is it asking for it? There was no request button for condiments. Then he started to blame my phone and the app. LOL! Mind you, this man couldn't even find the condiments request button! lol Started to say that in the state of CA they are not allowed to just add condiments to the online orders. Informed him that I was clearly not in the service industry and that it was no where in sight online! Yet there tables are covered with condiments. The math isn't mathing. He made me place ANOTHER ORDER online and it was another $27!!!! This bafoon forgot to cancel my order which resulted into another DoorDash coming my way. I had to inform the dasher of what was happening and he had to go back to speak with the manager. I had to call DoorDash myself to cancel the order and for me to get a FULL REFUND for the 2nd order that was placed. Not only did the manager waste my time and the dashers but had 2 out of three FULL meals thrown away due to not paying attention. I woke up this morning with 5 door dash charges because of the general managers neglect. Beyonnnd mad. This order has cost me over $130!!!!!!!!! I'm reaching out to corporate at this point!

Stopped by here after an event. I had their breakfast. Loved the omelette and hash brown. We also tried their mozzarella sticks. I'm not a fan of mozzarella sticks but these were pretty good. Server was friendly and place was clean.

Grand slam Original Grand Slam®

It's been ages since I've had a Dennys grand slam. I had a free reward so I decided to redeem it on a Sunday morning. The bacon was crispy and sausage was perfect. Eggs over easy. The place was about 1/3 full at 8 am. Host was kind and service was terrific.

Great for what it is! The prices are starting to rise from what I remember last time but isn't everything lol. Service was friendly! Food was similar to ihop! Definitely a family friendly diner vibe.

The service was great and the food as well! I give my server a 5 star review. What leads me to give a 1 star if possible a 0 is an incident I saw between the manager Javier G. and a young woman whom I believe was a busser. He demanded her to go on her lunch break and stated he wouldn't be adjusting her time sheet. How do I know this much info for just being a customer dinning in is because he said all that loud enough for me to hear. Mind you I was with my 3 boys, boys can be somewhat noisy. I believe this is very unprofessional from his part, as a manager and for his age (I believe his age range is anywhere between 52-66) he should know how to manage this type of communication, this type of conversations are to be held in private not in front of consumers. Next time I'm in I expect to not witness this again! And I hope he's mature enough to realize he is in the wrong and apologizes to this young woman because I was looking for him to bring it up to his attention after I finished my food but he was gone. Over all thank you to the servers, cooks, bussers, and dishwashers! You guys are awesome!!!

Chicken, fried steak and eggs. My husband thought it was delicious

Had the bourbon chicken! OMG it was delicious. I definitely large portion. I'm taking half of it home for dinner. The people are incredibly kind and the places immaculately clean. My hubby had the chicken fried steak. We were there at 11:00 in the morning. It's great that you can get breakfast and dinner all at the same time

smaller bread

I used to enjoy visiting this Denny's with my family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Prices have gone up while portion sizes, including bread, have noticeably shrunk. Kid's Meal 1 ($6.39): Two chicken tenders and two strips of small bacon. Kid's Meal 2 ($5.79): Mac & cheese with bacon and sausage--sides were too small. Senior Meal ($11.29): My mother-in-law's favorite salmon dinner now had smaller portions and bread. My Meal ($16.99): Chicken fried steak--price increased, with smaller portions and bread. Overall, the rising prices and shrinking portions make it hard to recommend this location, especially for kids. I am not sure if this is the corporate policy or just specific to this location. The changes here are significant.

Food was cold both breakfast and dinner. They refused the rewards program. Owner doesn't not acknowledge any corporate incentives.

The ambiance - at times it is very busy like for breakfast on the weekends but they have their process well-organized and it goes very quickly even when crowded. We recently started coming for lunch - they have a lunch menu and are open until 2pm. I am known on YELP for providing critical but hopefully helpful comments. Here are mine for this week. CHICKEN SANDWICH - made just the way a real chicken sandwich should be made with fried chicken and cole slaw. The chicken is too thick and makes the sandwich very hard to eat. I know that the size of the chicken reflects the generosity of Poached Kitchen but in this case the ease of eating the sandwich needs to take precedent. and the cole slaw should be a vinegar-based slaw not a mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is too creamy and thick. The slaw needs to be less gooey and sticky to compliment the chicken. Good place to go where they're mastered this is R+D Kitchen in Newport Fashion Island....you can also get this same item prepared exactly the same way at Banderas in Corona del Mar - same master chef. And the fries need to be cooked in Tallow. Tru Foods does this and they set the standard for healthy food. SOURCING - you need to tell people where your eggs come from - in some places I've seen Vital Farms which is good Pasture Raised Eggs but that is not confirmed on your menu. Also for sourcing you mention Brant Farms on your menu for beef (it's spelled Brandt) but Brandt does not advertise grass-fed and finished beef and your menu is silent on this subject. Again you need to be specific about your sourcing. You can say "grass-fed and finished beef when available" to cover sourcing problems but you need to start sourcing from a pasture-raised beef supplier not a ranch that uses lots of mealy-mouthed words in their description of what they do. There are plenty of local California sources for grass-fed and finished beef including Diamond Ranch who operates BuyRanchDirect so you could take delivery in southern California. Hope the comments are helpful.

It's a simple, easy seat-yourself spot where you grab your own utensils and condiments. The food came out really fast--I even had time to use the restroom while we waited. My fiancé ordered the soufflé pancakes with fresh strawberries and their strawberry cream. They were jiggly and soft, and not too sweet. It was like biting into a cloud. I got the country fried steak, egg, and cheddar sandwich on a brioche bun with their home-fried potatoes. I was expecting a bit more, but the gravy really saved it. Pro tip: ask for extra gravy. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to try more of their menu. I'd recommend this place to anyone willing to give it a try.

Decent brunch if you're into soufflé pancakes…read more Randomly picked this brunch spot when visiting Irvine and the breakfast quesadillas caught my eye. We parked in the plaza with plenty of parking spots available on a Saturday morning. There was a line out the door the entire time. Ordering is placed before we're seated. Seating is limited inside. Plenty of tables available in the shared patio area. There were a few active birds picking at the food from unattended tables. Ordering took about 10-15 minutes. The food came out pretty fast. Despite dining at the restaurant, they didn't have reusable tableware. I'd assume because customers might accidentally throw them away. The soufflé pancakes didn't surprise me. I think I've had better, or due to the extreme heat, the berry sauce was slightly warm and melting. If you're a fan of breakfast burritos, the breakfast quesadilla is basically the same thing in a different shape. The standout was the avocado aioli dipping sauce. It's just as good as my favorite breakfast burrito place - Wake and Late. The potatoes were nicely seasoned with a variety of spices and crispy. I'm a fan. I'd recommend the breakfast quesadilla, but wouldn't drive out of my way to come here.

The restaurant is almost always busy during breakfast, and it's pretty rare that you can walk in without waiting for a table. But honestly, the wait is worth it. The service has always been good, and I can't remember ever having a bad server there. Now, let's be honest--it's an older, somewhat rundown restaurant. It's definitely not the place you go for fancy surroundings or an upscale atmosphere. But when it comes to the food, Cowgirls delivers. The morning after a birthday celebration in Irvine, California, I slept in and texted family on…read morewhere they wanted to go grab brunch. We selected Stacks. Any breakfast place is generally good, since it generally has majority of what people enjoy at breakfast. Traditional foods and plates makes breakfast the most popular of any meal. Enter Stacks. My family and I came here around 10am on a Sunday morning in September 2026. It was busy but we got a table almost immediately for a table of 4. We probably spent about an hour here before eating and enjoying the food and paying for the food. Truth be told that my weekend in Irvine was nice and too bad I didn't get a chance to extend my stay here. The restaurant itself was small, but it felt like 2x the size of Starbucks cafe, maybe 2.5x the space that Starbucks usually allows. The decor was nice, cool, and felt like it was home for a little bit. We ordered from the breakfast side of things and I had the corned beef hash platter with pancakes. We paid upfront first like a fast food counter. We would take a number thingy and they'd bring the food out in porcelain plates like normal restaurants. I guess it beats having servers to take your orders and other staff to bring out food. Cuts down on dividing up tasks and jobs within the restaurant I suppose. For the most part though, the brunch here at Stacks was good and nice. Definitely good and typical for breakfast and lunch, depending on the time of day you come here. Recommend the corned beef hash. It was cooked beautifully and the eggs were good too. My niece ended up not touching her French fries she ordered so I got to eat those as well. All in all, it was a swell meal here in Irvine before flying home. The overall experience here at Stacks restaurant in Irvine California was good and very chill. I enjoyed the fact that they had a large chalkboard that had had their menu and specials written out. The chalkboard was a nice touch than a digital menu, which stood loud and was large. I don't know if they had paper menus but the chalkboard menu still works since it's large and easy to read and explain to many customers. The food itself was good and definitely worth coming here. The service was generally good and friendly. Stacks is your quintessential place for your breakfast needs and can be budget friendly place to be on a Sunday morning like I was. For the most part though, it was a good place to have breakfast in Irvine, California before heading north to LAX for the flight home. The restaurant itself was clean and quite stylish for a restaurant that seems almost decorative like a cafe. And so, if you find yourself here in Irvine and want breakfast, consider coming to Stacks for your breakfast and lunch. They'll be glad to have you. I definitely recommend coming here, especially the corned beef hash. While traveling, I try to enjoy the finer things in life especially during breakfast time. Stacks restaurant is located in Irvine, California. It's physically located in 1441 Culver Drive in the heart of Irvine. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a good amount of parking here, depending if you get here early enough. We got here early on a Sunday morning to secure a prime parking spot. Best bet would be to come early before the parking lot fills up to capacity. As far as public transportation goes, choose the cheapest option you can to get here to Stacks restaurant. There's always uber and lyft to cater to your needs as well, but not always the cheapest. And so, consider yourself prepared for a good meal here at Stacks restaurant. The pancakes are good and fluffy while the eggs and French fries are delicious and tasty. Do yourself a favor and come here on your next trip to Irvine, California. You won't regret it. 4.5 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B+
