I have ate at denneys in galt,its not same,food doesnt taste like it used,pancakes taste soggy..

Came here today and didn't have a very pleasant experience. I thought at first they might be short staffed that's why it took 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee. When you look around you see multiple employees just standing around. It looks like the manager is working harder than his 90% female staff... This place needs some much needed help. Will not come again and it is giving Denny's a bad reputation for maintaining a subpar staff. read more

My wife and I gave Denny's three tries and now will never eat here again. Each time the breakfast was cold when they brought a second it was no better. We payed for our coffee and left . Vowing never to return. read more

Worst customer service ever i was in there for 5 minutes three workers looked at me and didnt help me i was going to order something to go but ended up walking out no one stopped to help me or at least tell me someone would be with me in a minute i only gave them a star cause i had to. The food was great the staff was super nice, The salad was so good, of course that's not to say the pancakes were not incredible because I took a bite of hubbys stack and wow!! Service is horrible. I usually go because it is close by and not many choices here. I sat and waited 40 minutes without even being served my drinks. Portions are smaller and sloppy. Worst Denny's consistently. Live in Galt, kids love Denny's in general, but servers are rude, service is slow and the last 4 times, food has been cold. This morning ordered an omelette with hash browns, the eggs were so cold the the cheese didn't melt, and hash browns were not fully cooked, toast was burned :( this is typical at this restaurant... My wife and I visit the Denny's here in Galt. This is our second visit since they remodel the restaurant, the customer service is horrible . We stood at the front desk for about 10 min and then finally the cashier said it will be a few min. No one hosting at the entrance lots of tables available. Finally the cashier went and did a quit sweep on the floor and told us u can go and have a seat at the booth at the end . There is menus and forks, spoons on top of the table. I repeat my order to the waiter 2 times and still got my food order wrong. Very unprofessional. Worse service. read more

How unfortunate that the decor of the restaurant was upgraded and improved for the customer service is at an all time low my family has lived in the area for over 25 years and the one thing we've counted on is consistent service and food quality at this little location anytime we stop in until recently. Today was the worst. It honestly. They only had one waitress in the entire restaurant on a holiday weekend. I took my granddaughter and friend for brunch and we ordered our drinks which included two glasses of water a cup of coffee and two chocolate milks which seem to take forever and finally the manager came over and asked if he could get our drink order. Yet still it didn't come. Finally the waitress came over and got part of the drink order right. The food order took even longer. Nothing custom straight off the menu all three of us had breakfast. In the end we didn't get our water until almost the end of our meal, the kids cup my granddaughter order never got given to her until we were ready to leave and even then the gal said she couldn't find all the parts for it. I feel bad for the one waitress and then I saw another because I somehow don't think it was their fault that they were so over work but she also couldn't remember everything. I was really surprised walking into this location, on how clean it looked! The floors and everything made this Denny's look nothing like a regular slummy Denny's. Our hostess and waitress were both really responsive to our needs. The food came out quickly and fresh! We live in Lodi and will definitely be coming back to this Denny's as it by far more welcoming than the ones here in town. read more

Martha is the best. It was 7:30am and she was the only server. She ran her fanny off taking care of customers. I asked for a couple of extra things and got them with a smile. Martha is a gem. The food was good too, but it always is at Denny's. read more

I love Denny's for breakfast. While traveling along most highways it is easy to find a Denny's. I was enroute from Sacramento to Bakersfield and decided to stop in Galt for late breakfast. It was a bit crowded, Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m., but no waiting to be seated. Perhaps it was because I am not a local or a regular that no attention was given to me, but the service was terrible, and the food disappointing, which was unusual for a typical Denny's experience. There was so little attention given that the coffee wasn't even on the bill....which I pointed out as I paid the cashier. There was a supervisor (at least she seemed to be in charge at the time) who thanked me for pointing out the missing charge. I left feeling like it was a wasted stop, McDonalds would have been a better experience. So sad to leave Denny's feeling worse than when I went in. read more

Never Again - Not sure if management didn't plan accordingly or what the problem was. Went on New Year's Day - it was very disorganized - not sure if some of the help didn't show up or what. No dedicated hostess or cashier - no dedicated bus boy/girl. They sat me at an empty table but still very dirty - had to ask for someone to wipe it down. They took a wet towel that was sitting on a shelf under the cash register - but didn't dry the table. I noticed when other tables were wiped down - same cloth used but paper towels was used to dry them. Took over 10 min for someone to take my order and then it was not cooked the way I ordered it. Server never came back to ask how things were but again it was packed / busy / understaffed. The bacon was under cooked and not hot / barely warm. Eggs were cold and potatoes were were burnt crispy on one side only and pretty much not cooked on other side. But I do admit the pancakes were very good (I ordered the Super Slam - $6.99). When they finally came with the check I said the food was not edible and I would like an adjustment on the bill. She told me I could take it home and heat it up and I said no thanks. She came back and said manager agreed to 20% off and I said not acceptable - I will pay for the pancakes since nothing else was eaten except a few bites of the cold eggs. So she adjusted to the price of the pancakes but I noticed before I paid that she charged me for coffee also - I didn't have coffee / don't drink it. Horrible experience. Again - it was very busy - line out the door (but not when I first arrived) - just didn't seem like there was not anyone in charge and completely disorganized. If you go, just plan on going on a very slow day. read more

Very disappointed in our local dennys. I understand it is a Saturday and pretty busy. But it is downright rude to ignore a customer who has been waiting 15 minutes just to be seated to keep taking other customers who need to pay. We finally sat ourselves, waited another 10 minutes for the hostess to finally bring us menus without even apologizing for any inconvenience. As someone who has worked for almost 20 years in customer service, this is completely unacceptable. Very disappointed in our small town Dennys. Not sure I'll be back for a while. read more

We decided to go out for breakfast this morning. There is much eat out in Galt so we went to Denny's. It was horrible, it took 10 minutes to get our drinks and our food was cold. I ask for water, never got it. Our coffee was empty. Once we received our food, server never came back to our table if we need anything else so my honey got up and grab the hot sauce and syrup from another table. I wouldn't never go back there again. I rather drive 20 minutes way from my hometown to get better services. read more

Came In today for dinner. I had a great experience. I was seated quickly. Food came out looking great. Servers were on top of everything. Saw the manager Jake helping out all his staff. First of all, I would like to say I am not a fan of Denny's. With that being said, this is the best Denny's I have been to and has the best wait staff and friendliest waitresses of any Denny's by far that I have ever been to. The place is clean. The food is the same as any other Denny's but since I now live in Galt, there I nowhere else to go for breakfast. I am surprised that I like it there but the servers make it nice. read more

Never been a fan of Dennys, lets be real. However, it had been years since I had been to one. Galt is pretty small, so options on restaurants are pretty slim, but we decided to grab lunch here one day and Im so glad we did. I ordered the Chicken Philly sandwhich and it was the best sandwhich I had in a long time. I thought for sure we had just came at the perfect time and got the best cook, but we ordered take out last night from here, ordered the same sandwhich and it was just as delious! I have never been the person to eat every piece on my plate, but I dang near licked my plate. Service was good as well. Great job Dennys! Remaking me a fan! read more

Wow! First time here since the remodel and I have to say, OH WOW! Food came and It looked awful... I sent my food back twice and now the manager is trying to make my simple food. My child's Mac and cheese looked like crap. I make better Mac and cheese at home. Her broccoli was limp, cold, and looked microwaved.... I sent it back twice, by the 3rd try I told them forget it... I tasted the gravy and it tasted like some sort of powder paste... The manager made my food and the manager knows how to cook... I sure miss the lady who cooked on Thursday afternoons... We have been to Denny's 3 times now and the floor is dirty with trash and the service is slow. We went to dinner last night and the floor was dirty with trash again and there were tooth picks all over the floor,service was slow again. If this does not improve we will not come back. The seating was terrible and my brother spilled his drink and the waiter seen the wet table and continued to walk passed when I finally got her attention I asked for napkins and she never came back. I don't know why there's such bad reviews for this dennys? They remodeled and it looks way better than before for one. My boyfriend, myself and our three kids ages 3, 2 and 8 months went to eat breakfast. As soon as we walked in we were greeted as the lady was helping a costumer ahead who was already paying. It took about 5 mins and we were seated. Food came pretty fast and no complaints on our meals they were great nothing wrong with them at all! We had two lady's who kept asking us if everything was okay with our meals or if we needed more water or OJ. Honestly really great costumer Service. The waitresses were nice, respectful, and very attentive. One last thing, my boys needed to use the bathroom but there was a sign that said it was being maintenanced so we turned around and started walking away and a waiter stopped us and asked if we needed to use the restroom and went in the restroom and told the man that was working on a toilet in one of the stalls that I needed to go in. So he came out and waited until my boys were done doing their business and didn't have attitude or anything about it. read more
