Horrible service. 1. Asked if we were ready to order while we were clearly still reading our menus. Felt extremely rushed at a not-at-all-busy time of day. 2. Server was discussing her dermal piercings with the elderly couple at the next booth (who were horrified) while we waited. 3. Server asked if we wanted lemon with our fish, then didn't bring it. She then asked again and proceeded to take the next tables order while our food sat and we waited to eat. 4. I specifically went there for ice cream (I know, I'm a cow) after dinner, after a long day of driving, this familiar chain was next to the motel and we were supposed to get 10% off with our room key. The check came while we were eating with no offer of dessert. I was put off enough not to ask about dessert or the discount. It takes a lot to put this bitch off his ice cream. 5. The "manager" was not friendly and slyly insulted us on the way out as she was turned off over the small tip I left. I firmly believe in leaving 20% or more, but this bitch had it coming. read more

Ordered Apple Crisp and coffee. The Apple Crisp was really bad. It was like a bowl of sugar without any flavor. The coffee was very old and tasted burned. The service was great. I do not think I will be going back. read more

Poorly cooked food. Breakfast: French toast and pancakes both overcooked, burnt at edges. Bacon very limp, barely cooked. Take out order had mixed up the items in the boxes--so at first we thought we hadn't gotten what we ordered. I worked in the restaurant business for decades and breakfast cooking is NOT hard, so I can only conclude that their cook is either lazy or incompetent. Not recommended. Just had a terrible experience at this Dennys. Went there with my girlfriend and my mother. It took 45 minutes to get our food. My mother's salad was more dressing and cheese then salad. Our appetizer, Bacon cheese tator tots, never showed up and we had to remind the waitress and finally got it after our entrees. We didn't finish the tots because all we could taste was onions. It overwhelmed any other flavor in the tot. Our steak and broccoli queso platters were overcooked. The broccoli was completely mushy. The steak was so flavorless that it needed A1 in addition to the queso sauce just to be palatable. We had to ask multiple times for sides of ranch and in the over an hour we were there, we got one refill on our beverages. read more

Terrible terrible Denny's. I go there because they're open late but every time I've had a terrible experience. The wait just for menus and water is long. I've been to this Denny's a few times in the span of a few years, and every time the service is terrible. They are rude and will give you attitude if you ask them for things even if it isn't busy. I've come to believe one of the waitresses is racist. I am of Asian ethnicity, and she will treat my white friend kindly and then turn around and give me the worst service imagined. We went to this location while the other location is being rebuilt, major mistake. We ordered omelets, mine came with a lot of black grease on the bottom. I tried to eat around the black grease, to no avail. I did get heart burn for what I did eat. This was the first time I left 2/3 of my breakfast. We never were serveD far reagent like this at the other location. If you gO to Denny's go to the one off of gateway street, they are friendlier, the food taste a lot better. And it is cheaper. We order the same thing usually and at this location it cost us four dollars more than the other location. read more

I am hoping Denny's will remind their employee to treat all customers the same. I took my disabled client there weekly for the $2,$4,$6, and $8 specials.The wait is about 10-15 minutes on average just to be seated. Not because Denny's was crowed. The service is not the best for us possibly because I'm not eating. Our food took longer now. The servers don't even ask if her food is ok. Our visits had gotten to a point where we just get ignored. The waiter and waitress don't even acknowledge us. I'm grateful that my client doesn't understand what is happening. All she wants is to go out and eat. Pro: Denny's offers an affordable menu that is within her budget. Con: services, food is not as hot, Waiters and waitresses are hard workers and they deserve better pay for what they do. read more

Honestly, I hate writing this because I don't want this to be perceived as the waitresses faults. Big concert was in town and my husband and I expected for it to be crowded after the event, but to our surprise we came in and placed our names on the wait list and were seated within 15 minutes. THEN we realized what trouble we got into, we noticed all the people around us who came in at different times hadn't even received their food yet. We went ahead and ordered....long story short two hours later we got our meals! During the two hour wait I witnessed FOUR tables stand up and leave. Waitresses never checked on us, and only kept apologizing to the tables near periodically. It was the most chaotic restaurant experience I've ever had, to the point it was painful to watch the waitress and kitchen staff interact. A lot of frustration was witnessed. The wait staff were trying but clearly they were not prepared for the volume ahead of time. read more

Came in at 12:30pm on a Sunday after Halloween looking for a place to walk in with pajama pants and grab some brunch and not be judged while I try to run to my booth (I'm just lazy but the rest of the house squad is pretty hungover). Went to Ihop and the wait was 20 minutes...drove back here with low hopes and was IMMEDIATELY seated even though it was packed. So thankful! The hostess was super nice and understanding when I told her I had to run back out to gather the group since they were hiding with defeated broken hearts. Our server Patricia was fast and attentive despite the fact that the whole restaurant was packed. We ordered and got our food within 20 minutes of being seated and it was all great quality, our table was packed with food! Much better than the usual Denny's fare for some reason, my friend swears it's better than other Denny's. Our water and coffee were refilled regularly and we were all very impressed with the service. We stopped here on our way to Crater Lake for a quick dinner. We arrived at 7:25, left at 8:35pm. Three tables who were seated after us received their food before we did. Two of the tables finished their food and left before our food was ready. We didn't order anything fancy (club sandwich and a grand slam). The food was okay. We were super hangry and frustrated by the time we were given our food. I don't care if it is a new cook or whatever the excuse was, don't lose orders. The waitress was pleasant and kept apologizing. She offered us soup and gave us a 15% discount. I think that will be my last Denny's visit for awhile. read more

Went in during the Rose Bowl. Great service...wish I remembered her name, but she looks like Karen Allen from Raiders of the Lost Ark, if that helps. :) April? I love this place, it reminds me of my sweet home Alabama. The atmosohere is that which you'd expect from a diner, fast paced and packed with people at times, dead slow on some other days. I like it when it is empty, because I get the waitress all to my self and they really spoil you here. Never an empty coffee cup, and I never have to ask for anything because it had already been offered. I just went in for a free birthday meal and it was perfect, not lacking because of the fact that it was free. I looked everywhere for a better deal and they definitely offer the most for free on your birthday in the Springfield/Eugene area. I get the chicken fried steak almost every time, their biscuits and gravy are fantastic. It is by the highway and hard to get to without a car, but it is worth a carpool! read more

I felt so bad for our server and the manager the guys in the kitchen were so awful literally had to send toast back it came back the second time the same way and the entire time we were there the manager and the server basically begging the cooks to send out the right food. all the tables around us also gave up getting the right food. So uncomfortable trying to eat bad food and hear fighting with the kitchen the entire time.....left a huge tip of our server hope the kitchen got none of that! read more

Basic, low-quality diner with low-quality food. If that's your thing you'll probably like Denny's just fine I guess. I would recommend going to a more authentic "basic" diner like GJ's or the Glenwood. Rather than something generic and "bottom-of-the-barrel" like IHOP or Shari's or Denny's. read more

Kids eat free from 4 pm - 10 pm on Saturday's here. (at least as of 8/2/14 still). We've had decent - good customer service experiences and with the kid's meals being free we can get the family fed for under $25. read more

BEWARE! Keep an eye on your car in the parking lot. Ours was broken into and we had several things stolen while we ate breakfast in the morning - during daylight. Other than that, they were fairly helpful in calling the police. Food and service were good. read more

Denny's. Not everyone loves Denny's. I did have a poor breakfast around 17 years ago, in Bremerton, WA. However, things have changed. Hubby and I are on the last leg of our first long road trip ever. Headed south last Wednesday and stopped first at the Dennys just south of Eugene, OR. Had my old fav Moons Over My Hammy. Knowing my joints would hurt the next day from the wheat inflammation, I just had to have it!!!! The next morning, (yes, ow!) I was checking out the Denny's menu in Lodi, CA and found they have a wheat free English muffin that I'd missed the day before. Thinking it was an odd request, I asked if they could make the same sandwich, but with the muffin? The waitress didn't batt an eye and took my order. It was fabulous!! My next encounter was the Dennys somewhere in the mountains on the way to Reno. Had the' muffin with my over easy eggs. Sooo good! This AM, hit the Dennys on Plum street in Reno, NV and had the Super Bird sandwich with my new favorite bread! Yum! Thank you Denny's! Thank you! I'm all In!!!! read more

This doesn't even deserve a star, asked for a table, they had to clear a few and get a group ahead of mine going, then they seated a larger group that came in later before they seated my group, so I had to ask for a table again so that was an even longer wait, finally got seated, then they took forever to get back to us on just drinks, 30 minutes later finally taking our order, it took an hour and 40 minutes before they finally got our food out!!! They never even got us refills in the meantime!!! The food isn't really that great, the customer service is by far the worst I have ever seen, just absolutely awful!
