The restaurante it's self is pretty clean the service was disappointing waited for about 30 mins to get my food when it comes it's completely wrong they brought me 2 burgers when I asked for a double burger I then tell the waitress what I wanted she takes back both burgers brings it back all the did was throw the patty o one burger it was so messy you can tell what they did so I told her really she's like a whole new burger wow when I receive the bill there charging me 2 burgers I said I orders a double burger not 2 burgers she said that how we charge a double cheeseburger I then asked for a manager when I didn't she fixed my check never again so disappointing read more

I've been here before not sure what happened this time around. Waited a while to even start our drink order. I know it was busy but kind of crazy to wait over 10 minutes to even be asked what we would like to drink. Our food was served and fine. Waitress never came by to ask if we wanted more coffee. I had to get up and ask, i asked the manager, only to be ignored. They brought my burnt toast...no jelly. Again, i had to get up and ask for jelly. Friday July 21 Showed up to Denny's about 12:05 We walked in the girl who "sat" us. Just pointed to the table we were sitting at, we walked up table still had items on the table from the previous customer.. She picks it up when she comes to the table. So we're looking over the menu, have my husband time how long it would take just to take our drunk order 15 min pass.. NOBODY!!! I see only 1 guy is working the floor so I let another 5 min pass cause I can see two girls in the back talking to each other.. 5 min pass and still nothing.. Arrived at 1130 am and although it was busy, we waited only 15 minutes to be seated. Our waiter Eddy was very polite and quickly brought us the coffee we ordered. Our breakfast was served about 10 minutes later and it was very good. Previews reviews on yelp did not give this Denny's location high marks for quick service but I was pleasantly surprised and must say they've improved. Very happy with the service I received today. Chain restaurant's are not my favorite but this plce is ok the wait time was only 10 minuntes on a busy Sunday afternoon, service was adequate and they offer Military discount always a plus. I don't know why such a low rating cause every time I come the food is great. I mean it's Denny's so you get what you pay for, but the food is always fresh and hot. Now the pricing on the drinks is a bit crazy but the overall pricing is reasonable for the good amount of food you get. As for this location, it's always clean, and the workers are all very kind. One in particular, Jose, is extremely kind, and welcoming. He seems to always ensure your visit is a good experience. We appreciated his service and he deserves credit to having the guest enjoy their visit. I know all Denny's have different services and quality of food, but I've always enjoyed my visits to his one. FYI spend the .99 cents for the maple jalapeño bacon... So worth it!!! read more

We were greeted immediately by the lovely hostess, after waiting almost 20 minutes for service & making eye contact with at-least 3 other waiters on the floor a waiter approached us and took our order. After that our actual waiter Melvis took care of us and he was attentive but took a little longer than usual to ask us if we needed anything else. I don't blame him the only reason we didn't get up and leave was because the food was great and we saw him taking care of all the tables At least 6 on his own being that there was at-least 10 employees on the floor. 5 of them were In the corner of the store being loud enough for us to hear even saw the manager in the group. We kept trying to make eye contact with someone so we can get our check to leave once he got control of all the tables he was very attentive. We asked if we should pay him or the front he said if we can please pay in the front. Expecting the hostess that surprisingly wasn't there either he had to come and take the payment him self. This restaurant made us wait 40 minutes to an hour just to be seated. They let 5 families go in front of us and didn't have our seat set yet. We had to ask many times to have our menu and the waiters were being very difficult while taking our order. I do not recommend anyone to dine at THIS SPECIFIC Denny's. read more

I love eating at the Denny's in El Segundo! Its like the waitresses there are mind readers. They check on you frequently, refill your glasses and they are very courteous. The food is delicious too! Came here for Mother's Day and the customer service when you first walk in was HORRIBLE. There was a girl named Emily and a manager named Berto or something (made sure i remembered), no one greeted anyone. They just told us to put our name on a list. Plus you have people that have been waiting to put their name on that list but have people checking out cutting them off. I worked for corporate restaurants for 10 years and I have never seen anything like that. Like there was no one even in there. The only thing is our server was great and nice. Seated right away party of 8. That was the only good part. Took forever to get our orders and even longer to get our food. Once the food started to arrive most of us had something missing. I ordered the build your own slam, 2 eggs, sausage, pancakes which I gave to one in our party, gluten free English muffins and hash browns a d coffee that wasn't hot. The pancakes came approx. 15 minutes after my eggs, the has browns never arrived and my English muffins had green mold on both pieces. I brought this to the servers attention she brings it back to the kitchen returns almost 10 minutes later with the same English muffins but the mold torn off! When I brought it to her attention that it was the same and she denied it was and I told her she should have checked the bottom because there was mold all over the bottom of these overly toasted muffins and they were the same ones when my party all had said they were the same ones.. In the end of all of this, I did not get a meal nor hot coffee, nor did I get an apology from management only told by the server they were having a health inspection and that is why everything was so slow. My meal that wasn't eaten was comped but I was made to pay for my coffee that had one sip from. If they serve moldy food to someone with a food allergy what are they serving the rest of everyone else who eats there? read more

Walked in and stood at the counter for 10 minutes before I was acknowledged. Finally ordered and the meal I ordered took about 20 minutes. I order the same thing all the time and it usually takes 5 minutes. Waiter was ok, but I wanted to pay with the computer at the table and he was very confused. I am a frequent customer at Denny's and I know the procedure because I use this method to pay all the time. He told me I needed to pay at the front because people switch the machines and they aren't good. I told him that I wanted to pay at the counter and finish my meal while waiting for my ride. He insisted he couldn't do anything until I pointed to a manager and told him to go ask so he can learn the process. Manager explained the procedure and i paid in less than a minute. While I was sitting at the counter I saw lots of plates just sit there for several (10minutes) before they were taken out to the dining room. Thing is, this Denny's was not very crowded. It was about 8pm, but there were, at least 50% of tables empty. Thumbs down. read more

Got to the place at around 3:00pm. I stood on the front and nobody approached me to guide me to a seat. The workers would see me but they would not approach. So I sat on the first table I saw, right next to the front door. I thought someone would eventually approached me. After more than 10 minutes sitting down, a woman named Maria approaches me just to tell me that the section is closed and that I had to move. How ridiculous. She didn't even greet me or asked me if I had been helped. If someone would have approached me then they would have guided me to a seat!! So I just left. This place is ridiculous. We live a couple blocks from this place. We've ordered from them twice, and have been disappointed both times. Last night was the last time I'll give my money to this joint. I got the chicken fried steak, but it was much more like meatloaf covered in gravy. It was so soft that my fork could easily pass through it without effort. There is NO WAY they use cube/round steak. Don't know what it was. Also, my wife's cheeseburger tasted strange - can't identify the aftertaste it left, but it wasn't pleasant. She had two bites and threw it out. read more

We came on a Sunday and it was pretty full there was a long wait and then the hostess sat us on a table next to a window and when we looked at the windowsill it was full of flies!!! I have never seen so many flies indoors! We had to get our table moved when I should have just left now that I think about it. They also took a ridiculously long time bringing our food which they got wrong, all four orders were wrong and as they placed that big tray the waiters use to hold a lot of plates on the little stool I saw a lot of flies standing in other people's food as it was being served on their table.
