    Ladies of the Westchester Elks

Had dinner with my fellow Ladies of the Elks of Westchester as we celebrated our birthdays. The appetizer we had was absolutely delicious, we had homemade potato chips and artichoke dip. I had the poached salmon and Niçoise salad and it was refreshing and so darn tasty and so light for dinner. The customer service was absolutely fantastic and very friendly. Thank you for hosting for dinner for us ladies.

We went yesterday for Dine LA and had a good experience. The wait staff was very friendly. They were running low on some items and were sure to let us know. We ordered the French onion soup to start. It was salty, but good. I wish the cheese was a little hotter and meltier. For the main we got prime rib. The prime rib was great. The green beans were delicious. The mashed potatoes were not good. Lastly, we got dessert. I got the tiramisu which was absolutely delicious. My sister got the crème brûlée and it was good. We also got Mojitos and they were all right.

Decided to stop in and try the marmalade café here in El Segundo after seeing them on the Dine LA list and also that they had a good number of reviews. Not sure if there's more of a lunch and brunch spot butI came here for dinner on week night and it was kind of rough. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to them and being short staffed. Overall, it was just kind of a long and interesting one and done experience. I could tell that my waiter was probably the only one there and it took an unnecessarily long time for dinner. He was very attentive in the beginning and took my order right away and then came the waiting. I got the tuna tartare, prime rib, creme brulee. Food turned out just okay. The sourdough bread that came during my entree was pretty good actually. I was glad I had eaten a little bit before, and I was intrigued by their happy hour menu. So decided to do get to the restaurant slightly earlier but then ultimately decided just to get the dine La menu. From the reviews in general here, people are having great dining experiences here. I'm not really sure what happened tonight.

This Marmalade Cafe location is off the beaten path therefore it is not quite as busy as the other locations. It has a large dining room with plenty of seating and some outdoor seating as well. Plenty of parking in the lot as well. This was our first visit to this location. We were greeted when we arrived, the host staff were very friendly. Our server was acceptable but not as attentive as we are used to at the other locations. We love Marmalade as they have a great selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Between the three of us we ordered the pancakes and eggs with bacon, bacon and eggs, and the bagel with lox. All the food was fresh and cooked as ordered. The bacon is very good and was cooked perfectly. Th espresso choices are nice as well. The portions are large to either fill you up or enough to take home. If you haven't been to a Marmalade I highly recommend them for consistent yummy breakfast, lunch or dinner. This location did not disappoint.

3.5/5! Points to this place for being able to seat a party as large as 22. We tried the chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, and tacos. The food was adequate though the burrito was a little less flavorful than other burritos we have had. The sauce helped the dishes a lot. We also tried the mango and original mimosa which were both really good. Service was also very attentive which we greatly appreciated.

I love Marmalade Cafe. I've been coming here for brunch for the past five years. Even though I do not come often, I find that the quality of the meal remains high. Now, I can only speak of their breakfast and brunch options-I actually have never had lunch or dinner here. Just recently, I went for brunch with my sister and sister-in-law. I usually order the Classic Eggs Benedict which was absolutely scrumptious. The poached eggs were perfectly runny without the eggy flavor. I have always appreciated their home fries which are smoky in flavor, yet crispy on the outside with a fluffy center. I am also a fan of their crab cake eggs benedict which has no fishy flavor. I am not sure what spices they use, but it pairs well with the eggs benedict profile. The crab cake is pan-seared which gives the benedict a crispy texture that accompanies the smoothness of the poached egg. My sister ordered the CHAR-GRILLED STEAK & EGGS breakfast which she gave a double thumbs up! My sister-in-law ordered the CROSS CREEK BREAKFAST which she enjoyed, especially because of the pancakes. I have never had pancakes at Marmalade but my family looks forward to them. I'm just not a pancake girlie. Since it was lunchtime, I decided to order the Reuben Sandwich with a side of Caesar Salad. I lived on the east coast for a few years and have had some of the best reubens and pastrami sandwiches. Marmalade's Reuben was not my favorite because the corned beef was kind of fatty. I don't like the texture of fat, so I found it off-putting. Now, I place the fault on me, not the restaurant. Why? Because my sister tried the sandwich and really liked it. She actually ended up finishing it for me! I am just extremely picky with my sandwiches. The salad was also very good!. Do not let this dissuade you from trying Marmalade Cafe.

They should not advertise "vegan options" as the only vegan breakfast option on the menu is the fresh fruit. So it was a mashup of toast and fruit and avocado. My companions enjoyed their egg white omelette and avocado toast which were made with fresh ingredients. Both vegetarian. The restaurant is pleasant as a wide open space with TVs above the bar showing sports (Sunday am). The service was average. Friendly.

First time back in a few years, food was good. Prices about average for the quality, staff was friendly and attentive. Party of 8 with tax and tip came out to about $35 per person. Good selection of items for almost anyone's tastes.

Your neighborhood diner meets cutesy and trendy. Marmalade Cafe is in such a fun hub of LA near both the airport and Manhattan Beach; it's a great place to visit if you're relatively local or arrive/departing from your trip to LA! I visited 8:30am on a Tuesday morning and it was pretty empty inside. The service was friendly and very quick, and the breakfast items were delicious! I ordered the three ranch eggs (sunny side) which came with roasted potatoes and sourdough bread. It was a good serving that kept me full for most of the day. Simple but so much flavor!

Great breakfast/brunch place! Waiters were so nice and the food was delicious! I had the chicken and waffles! The chicken was seasoned well not dry. I would definitely recommend. My fiancé had the steak and eggs. Portions were huge and steak was deliciously seasoned.

If you want breakfast or lunch come to Marmalade Cafe. I first went to the Marmalade Cafe in Santa Monica for lunch, but came to the El Segundo location for breakfast. It was so good. I went for the classic waffles and they were delicious. My friend chose to get a basic egg, sausage and toast plate. We were both happy. The service was great and the place is pretty big. Tons of free parking.

As of June 2026 idk how this restaurant can have anything less than 5/5 stars. The service was top tier and the food was excellent. No complaints when it came to cleanliness and presentation. All the servers were very attentive and friendly. This is definitely a restaurant I will be coming back to, I strongly recommend. Unfortunately I didn't take more pictures, but the drinks were amazing as well as you can see.

His espresso martini was so delicious! It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. My partner and I had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the shrimp taquitos, while on the pricier side it is definitely worth it. The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

The Strand House offers good food, goodservice, and amazing views and vibes at reasonable, but upscale prices. We came with my family for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Off the lunch menu we had the Italian panini ($29), which was a surprisingly complex sandwich with mortadella, salami, onions, lettuce, fresh Marzano tomatoes, and many other vegetables. It was served with an exceptional set of fries, which had a great amount of garlic and the perfect blend of crisp on the outside and softness on the inside, along with tangy ketchup. The children got the pasta bolognese ($14), which was a standard bolognese, although the pasta was a little overcooked. We also got a child salmon ($21), a surprisingly generous piece of fish, well cooked with a somewhat crispy exterior and soft interior alongside broccolini and whipped mashed potatoes. The service was decent - our server collected our order, checked on us appropriately, and generally took care of us throughout our visit. As the pictures suggest, the interior is quite upscale, scattered across three floors with a view overlooking the main road and the beach itself. This led to an excellent, breezy atmosphere and spectacular views, perfect for a hot day. Prices are a little on the elevated side, but not excessive, given the highly popular location of this restaurant and excellent views. Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. Ughhh. Bummer experience today, I'm so disappointed…read more I stopped in today, about a month after my last visit. I usually come in Thursday through Saturday, and on Wednesdays when I'm dealing with business stuff. Today I was craving the Bee Sting pizza and my cold Allagash. I made sure to check beforehand that there would be a Happy Hour, but it wasn't until I was ordering that the server told me there's no more Happy Hour on Sundays. Apparently that changed a few weeks back. Either way, I ordered the Bee Sting, an Allagash White, and a soda for my friend. The pizza was a bit dry, with minimal burrata and way too much pepper. I could only get through two slices before my nose started to flare up. So I went for my beer, which is always wonderfully cold. I took one sip and it tasted nothing like my usual. I took a second sip, and it still tasted nothing like an Allagash. I come here often enough to know what's what. I usually get my drinks straight from the bar, or I sit in the area where I know there won't be any mix-ups. When the server finally came around to check on us, I asked him to tell me what beer this actually was. I let him know it wasn't Allagash and asked him to please bring me a sample so I could compare. I told him it tasted like a Mexican lager or a pilsner, but with a terrible skunky taste. He didn't seem to care much. He went to the bar and came back to tell me I was wrong, that the bartenders insisted it was Allagash but that it "now tastes like a pilsner." I was taken aback by that, and by the fact that he never brought me the sample or offered to let me choose another drink. My frustration was high, but I stayed quiet and asked for the bill shortly after. It's a kick in the stomach to be told something is what it clearly isn't, especially when I drink here often and regularly engage with your best bartender, who never disappoints. Shame on me for stopping in on a day when the service had a bit of an attitude and the bar was no help. And honestly, I'd be embarrassed to stand there waiting for a 20% tip after giving that little support, when I didn't eat more than two slices and didn't even want to take the rest home because it was so overdone; however, the way the tip service is added to automatically include it, also not a great experience, no one should feel underpreassure to tip that much for mediocre, or poor service. I've been coming here for a long time and I bring in a lot of people, but today was a letdown. Not a single member of leadership came by to help with the drink or the pizza issue. That's a level of customer service and management engagement I don't usually see missing here.

Egg and bacon cooked just right all the flavors came together like a perfect bite every time. Even the tomato was red and brought a nice touch to the whole sandwich. The waitress was super busy as she was the only one running the front. She crushes it I've seen bigger restaurants struggle with more staff and less people. Thank you so much for letting change tables mid dinning to sit outside is the sun!!! I was truly impressed because this was the type of restaurant I was looking for this morning near my hotel and had healthy breakfast options and was local! Absolutely coming back to this gem anytime I'm in the area.. Thank you so Toast & Thai love your little cafe! Can't wait to try the other menu items, like the Biscotti's lovers waffles!!!

This place was DEAD when my friend and I went here at around 5PM on a Sunday. It wasn't a big place…read moreat all and it looked like you could order at a kiosk and have your food ready to-go, so maybe eating in isn't their specialty? I don't know, but this place had a big menu and decent reviews so we chose to hit up this spot. The vibes in here were super laid back. There was only one woman who we saw working which was also the hostess and everyone else's server, which was just us and another woman to tables away from us. We had a difficult time choosing something to order since the menu was so diverse. Everything from croffle ice cream, to clam chowder, to a full Thai menu. I saw banh mi on the menu and instantly knew I had to order it since I've never tried it before. So, I ordered the chicken meatball banh mi sandwich with a side salad (removing the jalapeño and spicy mayo). My friend ordered a Thai iced coffee and the pineapple curry. The food came out relatively quickly. My friend enjoyed her Thai iced coffee, but she said she wished she'd ordered the Thai tea instead. She also really liked her pineapple curry, and it came out piping hot. I tried it and it was super spicy, so not for me, but she really enjoyed it. My banh mi sandwich was interesting. Right off the bat, it was 75% bread. The bread wasn't bad. In fact, it was chewy and not tough to tear into, but the sandwich itself was mostly bread. There were only like three meatballs in the sandwich, which were cut in half, and I feel like there wasn't anything special about the meatballs. If I was blindfolded, I would think they were the Great Value frozen meatballs in a bag from Walmart. The pickled cabbage was nice though, even if the mixture made the entire bottom of the sandwich soggy af (but I like soggy bread so it was fine with me). I tore most of the bread off and left it on the plate. The side salad dressing also spilled onto the sandwich and contributed to the soggy bread. Now that I'm looking at the photo I took of the sandwich, there wasn't much cilantro on there at all. The pickled cabbage was at the very bottom buried in between all the bread.
