Danny's Gouda Chicken and Broccoli are usually very good at the Dennys in Glendora, NOT the case here in Alhambra. The waiter (Hector) was very nice, but took almost 15 minutes to even get my drink order. When I asked to order the Gouda Chicken and Broccoli he stated "About that! - we are out of Broccoli". (Really? At 10:00 a.m.?). But I enjoy this dish, so I agreed to Squash. Well the dish arrived, the cheese was yellowish orange, and tasted nothing like Gouda. The rice was brownish burnt yet hard! I asked Hector to ask what cheese they used and the cook answered "Gouda-its just burnt!" I then thought, I still shouldn't make a big deal, but then after a couple of bites I couldn't stomache the meal. I asked to talk with the manager, and low and behold the waiter went back to the cook (Ramise or something like that!), at which time the manager came out. I explained the situation, and he responded yeah, we are short staff, we don't have a cook so we are behind. What else would you like? I had lost my appetite at this point and said "I don't trust my food going back Thank you though. The manager never apologized and walked away. My waiter never came back until I had to ask another server for my check. Such a bad experience. Sorry Alhambra, probably won't be coming back here for a while. I have been bringing my family to this location for a little over 2 years and at first I wasn't too pleased with the attitude of a few servers and their service but we have warned up to Laura. She is top notch the best server they have at this location. My kids know her by name that's how often we come here. Even at night, with drunks galore stumbling about, gossiping among themselves, the overall experience of this Denny is just like any other... somewhere you go to eat semi healthy and completely blow it by ordering too much. Literally the worst Denny's experience I've ever had in my life. After a 17 minute wait before someone even came to take off border it was another 41 minute wait before we got our food. Upon getting our food we were informed that there was only one cook for the night which I would have appreciated hearing before we ordered. Finally got our food and it was both burnt and too hot to eat. Possibly my fault for ordering a skillet plate, although it should never be served at the temperature that this was served at. We were surprised to hear he had just started training there because he was so great. We didn't interact with many other employees but from what we could see, they were all providing great service. I ordered online for delivery. It never came. I called Denny's Main Street, in Alhambra, about 7 times. They never picked up the phone. Now. I'm standing here, inside the "restaurant", as I type this. I DROVE here, at 12:38am, to get a refund! The manager, Carlos disappeared to his office to handle the issue, after I told him I wanted my money back, for services not received. I'm still waiting. It's been 10 minutes. It doesn't take this long to issue a refund. I had to go to his office to inquire about the status of the my refund. He courteously explained that there was a process he had to follow to issue a refund. He also told me that he had to call Doordash, to raise a flag on the delivery driver. While I understand that there is a process and he had to called the delivery company, he could have just processed the refund and spoke with Doordash after I left. The waiting, the silence, the unanswered phone calls I made, the absent order, having to drive, in the middle of the night, to get a refund. It was all too much. The missing delivery wasn't Denny's fault. But how it was handled could have been done a lot better. I'm giving two stars for the two courteous people, at Denny's who did their best to handle this issue. read more

The worst restaurant food - everything are frozen with the same kind of meat for all menu. All chicken and other dinner menu are from frozen box. The food are too salty an variety. Sausage are the smallest and salty for all breakfast menu. Side dishes are tiny in size and not fresh - like corn has too much water like soup. Services depends who they are - some good and some bad. Her energy and knowledge of their menu creates a good dining experience. She introduced me to getting my hash browns "loaded", so good! I've been to multiple Denny's and never received the same treatment from any other servers. Came here twice and she was my server both times and her service didn't disappoint neither times. I made this location my go to Denny's spot because of Brandi. The boyfriend ordered two items because Brandi made both sound so good that the boyfriend couldn't resist but try both: loaded veggie omelet and prime rib skillet. My wife and I went Denny's last night for dinner, it's been a year we haven't been to any Denny's. We haven't been this Denny's in Alhambra for a long time it looks the same but it looks dark from the outside very creepy....We went inside then we got seated, we were looking at the menu, the menu have change a new look plus new items on the menu. I try their new dish the Bourbon chicken skillet and my wife order the chicken fried steak. Warning order a skillet order can be really not it need to cool down a bit.... My skillet was too hot after cool down I took a bit of the potatoes is well season and vegetables very good not dry, then the chicken very in flavor but the bourbon sauce dissappear I think the sauce just got vaporizer by hot skillet there just a bit of the sauce it was good. I enjoy the meal but my wife disappointed on her chicken fried steak only everything was good she like. My wife say chicken fried taste like meat loaf, I ask my wife let me take a bit of it, the true came out it does taste like meat loaf, I know they different restaurants use chop up meat or use mystery meat that's really unknown. When I go to Denny's, I usually go without much expectation for the food. Usually just for meetings and convenience. Last week, my friend and I decided to go there for breakfast. The restaurant was fairly empty with only a few people, it was about 10 am. We ordered breakfast special since it was cheap $3.99. I tried to chat with my pal on various subjects while waiting. Then, I looked up and realized our food had been sitting on the sill outside the kitchen for about 10 minutes. The waitress then brought over our plates, almost everything was cold. The hash browns were burned so hard they were inedible, the toast only had a small drop of butter on the center and was rock hard and cold. The server apologized, but did not offer to rewarm the plate. My expectation for Denny's now is even lower. read more

This Denny's is not worth my full review. I hate, hate, HATE their customer service. I asked an employee for the Tabasco sauce, and he went to another table and asked me which one. I said the Tabasco sauce, and pointed to the bottle. He picked up the pepper, and I said that it wasn't it. Then he said "which one???" with an annoyed attitude. I continued to say the Tabasco sauce and pointed to the red bottle, telling him "red bottle." He proceeded to pick up the ketchup instead.
