Stack of Double Berry Banana Strawberry Pancakes Philly Cheesesteak Omelette

Got seated right away & servers were attentive & kind! Pancakes were nice & fluffy, philly cheesteak omelette had great flavor, just wish the steak portion was bigger for the price & hoped for the hashbrowns to be crispier. Other than that this satisfied my classic american breakfast cravings. Plenty of seating and tables, also cool that they have a mini arcade room in the back!

I ordered the veggie omelette with toast and hash browns. It was okay overall, but honestly just kind of average. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. The omelette was decent, and the toast and hash browns were fine, just pretty basic. It filled me up, but it's probably not something I would order again.

Denny's food was good and the service was good! They were busy for 3 AM on Sunday! I just finished an event with a few friends nearby and there was a good amount of groups that were sitting by! In addition they do have an arcade in case wait is long or just need a little something for some entertainment! I got the ultimate omelet with avocado and toast was on the side! It also came with hash browns! The dish was super filling! Tip: There is a restroom and free parking on the side of N 4th street!

Moved to the area recently. Been to this Denny's twice so far. Both times service was really friendly and prompt. The food is your standard Denny's food. It's pretty good, but nothing special. But as good as expected. I like their unlimited hot chocolate! I had 3 of them the first visit! They also have a value slam for just $6.99. You can get toast, pancakes, French toast, or biscuits & gravy included. I like their French toast. Not a fan of the biscuits & gravy. First time I had them. Not horrible, but I'd stick to the French toast. They have turkey bacon, which is important for my wife because she doesnt eat pork. Eggs were cooked correctly, wife gets scrambled with cheese, I get over easy. Overall, it's a good place to get some breakfast... or lunch or dinner, but I haven't had much of their lunch or dinner offerings to comment on.

Hair in food
Kevin P.

Our server was great but unfortunately found a hair in my food, this is the second time this happens and I tried to give Denny's the benefit of the doubt. This location specifically is not the most sanitary when it comes to utensils, cups and the food itself. Very mid. Save ur money and if you're looking for late night food, I'd get jack and the box over this lol.

Alhambra Dennys my favorite place to eat, service always good fast and attractive, food very delicious..beautiful place always great service and very clean ambiance,

took 25min for our food to come out the only older black lady said to me it took longer for us to order then for the food to come out hella rude had the balls to tell me i only got 1 cook n 1 server like wtf in a friday weekend ? smh would not rec coming here for anyone small or big party this isn't it stay away !!! ben here more then 5times same problem !

but first, coffee

Took my wife to the Denny's in Alhambra for Sunday brunch. On the way there, the struggle was not finding updated menu, so here are the updates pages on the menu as of July 2025. I had the sirloin steak and eggs, steak was cooked just right, juicy and flavorful. Only regret? I should've swapped the toast for pancakes. My wife got the Philly cheesesteak omelette and loved it. The portion was huge, she couldn't finish it, so we took the rest home along with her toast. We had to wait quite a bit for a table because they were busy, which us understandable for a Sunday brunch time, but the service and the server, Noy, was nice. It's not fancy, but it hit the spot for a casual brunch. We'll probably be back next time we're craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast.

Burnt

Where's the black lady that use to be here because this became a shit show?! They brought me burnt pancakes twice. They burnt my eggs and the customer service is just awful and before you comment I'm a regular here. Do better!!

$5 side order of hash browns, this is what you get‍

Worse Denny's I have ever been to. Service is super slow. Forget about customer service, they have none.

I've never had Japanese souffle pancakes before so when I saw this place nearby, I figured that I…read morewould try it out. We came in around 9:30am and were seated right away. Not even 30 minutes later the whole place was packed. I ordered the Benedict Pancakes ($22) and the seasonal Biscuit souffle pancakes ($18). I also tried the Tonkatsu Curry ($16). For a drink I got the pot of Peach Momo Tea ($6). My benedict pancakes came out first. The souffle pancakes and the tonkatsu curry came out at the same time 30 minutes later. The benedicts weren't bad, but I probably wouldn't get them again. The yolk was solid and not runny and the pancakes were just normal flat pancakes, and they were kind of dry. The tonkotsu and the Japanese pancakes were way better. Both were very flavorful and nice and hot. For the tea pots you also get refills, so we got a lot to drink with that. For a two-person table, it was definitely too small to hold everything that we ordered. Luckily by the time the curry and the pancakes came out I was already finished with my benedict pancakes and was able to give it to them to clear out to make room for the other dishes. Service was good, the wait for the food was long but they were still attentive enough to get us what we needed. Once you get your food they try to get you out as quickly as possible since the longer it went the longer the wait outside was for a table. Overall it was a nice breakfast/brunch experience. It is a bit pricey, but some dishes are better than others. I would come back either for the Japanese pancakes or the curry. The tea was great too. I would probably skip the eggs benedict next time though.

CASH ONLY…read more Definitely one of those hole in wall spots you need to support. Not sure why I was expecting to speak Chinese to order but surprisingly staff taking our order spoke perfect English with no accent. They were quite welcoming and patient while we looked through the entire menu before ordering to-go. Hot Sweet Soybean Milk - good warm temperature and comforting but not the best I've had. Tasted quite watered down. Convenient to grab if you're already here for food. Hot Sweet Soybean Tofu -really good and easy to eat. I personally like the peanuts in it, peanuts soaked up the sweet ginger syrup. Tofu is silky. They do ask if peanuts are ok when you order, you can definitely opt out if you don't like texture in your sweet tofu. Bake Sesame Bread with Beef (added pickles)- really good, sesame bread is more of a flaky pastry rather than a fluffy bun. Expect tons of crumbs but really good. Beef is tender and not dry at all. Pickles added a ton of texture another depth; sweet, salty, bit of tang. Fan Tuan always good, I usually opt to add both eggs and pickles. But if I'm not feeling too hungry I could go without egg. Green Onion Pastry -pastry is flaky and buttery. Filling was a bit saltier than I expected but good. Ham& Radish Pastry - pastry was also flaky and buttery. Filling wasn't my favorite, radish was quite tough and fibrous. Sweet Baked Sesame Pastry -perfect for kids, filling is just sugar and some sort of flour they mix with it. Surprisingly not too sweet.

*** Still cash only ***…read more It is crazy that Huge Tree Pastry continues to be one of the very few options for Taiwanese breakfast in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area other than Yi Mei and Yung Ho Cafe. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking on a Sunday morning. [Ordering]: Most customers come here for takeout despite this restaurant having dine-in tables. Our party ordered takeout in person and waited approximately 15 minutes. The lady cashier (owner?) was a bit intense but efficient. She spoke both fluent English and Mandarin. [Menu]: Stick with Yelp's top highlighted items - Salty Fan Tuan (Stuffed Sticky Rice Roll), Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake, Sweet Soybean Milk, and Radish Cake. For Salty Fan Tuan, I highly recommend maxing out all add-ons including paying extra for purple rice, egg, and pickles (Taiwanese pickled mustard greens). The same goes for pan-fried green onion pancake and adding egg. For an authentic Taiwanese breakfast experience, order Taiwanese donut (you tiao) and baked sesame bread, but expect a somewhat boring flavor profile if you decide to order either Taiwanese donut (you tiao) or baked sesame bread. *** Hot Sweet Soybean Milk (16 oz small - $2.95): Somehow the drink tasted more like unsweetened soybean milk. It was piping hot so our party had to wait 30+ minutes before drinking it. Salty Fan Tuan ($5.50 + Purple Rice $0.45 + Add Eggs & Pickles aka Taiwanese pickled mustard greens $2.00): Excellent salty fan tuan and very satisfying. Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake ($5.50 + Add Eggs $2): A savory pancake and I enjoyed this order. Ham & radish pastry ($2.25): It was cold and tasted alright - not an item I would recommend. *** Still a solid 3.5-star on food after more than a decade since my last review. It is no famous Fuhang Soy Milk from Taipei, but this is the next best experience you will get for Taiwanese breakfast given the limited Taiwanese breakfast options in Southern California.

Food comes out pretty fast so fasten your seat belt and get ready for a ride of flavor town! Cinnamon French toast - crunch like it sounds, delicious and really resembles the cereal as well as a churro texture Cowboy burger - what can I say, a burger from the west, big juicy patty, bacon and egg topped with their delicious sauce, perfectly paired. Boiled pork omelette - you'll need a big appetite for this one. Don't be fooled by its size, it's more food than one can probably eat alone. Big flavor, pork was seasoned well and bbq sauce was a nice touch in the eggs. Potatoes were also on point! House French toast - almost as good as the cinnamon French toast, it has the crunch, flavor and doesn't require any syrup, already sweet as it is! Chicken sandwich - juicy, tangy, not spicy for me (got a level 2 of 4, I think) but if you like flavor, it has it all. The mini spice kick and the mixture of the egg yolk that just fills your mouth with fun! Will surely come back. Their seating is limited so be sure to have that reservation guest list ready as soon as you arrive. The inside is big, yet with the amount of people who visits this place , no wonder it's hard to get a chair! Kudos !
