I read the reviews before writing my own... Other reviews seem to have a lot of bad experience with the service and the dirty carpet or utensils... I guess, I was fortunate enough to have good service by a waitress during a weekday lunch... Food: O.....K....so so....eh...could be better... "Not Satisfied unless extremely hungry... To begin with, Charlie is extremely rude. I was standing in line to get help & he decides to help the people behind me instead. I then tell him hey I'm here to pick up he tells me wait someone else can help you. Ridiculous. read more

I am echoing many of the recent reviews of this place: The service is below mediocre and unfriendly. "Hector" was our waiter and he ignored refilling our water as he filled our surrounding tables on 2 separate occasions. I will not come back to this location. I'd rather drive further and receive better service. read more

I took my mom to this Denny's to celebrate the birthday. We were seated fairly quick although the place is very busy. Service is great and food is delicious. The double triple birthday treat is delicious. This Denny's has the best pancakes!! read more

When I want a delicious full course breakfast, I think about Denny's and the choconana pancake meal. It comes with chocolate chip pancakes with bananas on top, a side of bacon or sausage, hash browns and eggs of your choosing. I think it's a good deal for the quality of food. Anyway, I was craving it hard one day so I phone ordered it and picked it up 15 minutes later. I got home and they were the wrong pancakes! They were some dulce de leche type pancakes literally drenched in some kind of creamy sauce with nuts. They did not look even the slightest bit appealing. I just threw them out and ate my eggs, bacon and hash browns. I was still hungry afterwards and was going to email Denny's but their "contact us" was either via phone call or mail delivery, both of which I don't have time to deal with. I guess I paid about $12 to throw away nasty looking pancakes I didn't even order. read more

I would always come here at around 2-3 am with some friends and it was always the best. their food is good and their staff is so nice! I believe they put some extra pancakes for us and the cashier Juan is the sweetest! read more

Disappointing experience. We went on Saturday afternoon after my son's baseball game. The lady that greeted us told us that the only seats were at the counter but when we walked over to the seating area, we noticed there were several booths available. I asked if we can have a booth and were told we would be waiting 'a long time ' to get service if we sat there. We ended up sitting at the counter and no more than 5 minutes later, the same lady gave that booth to young couple. They got prompt service with no issues. Why lie to us! Very unprofessional. However, our server Gladys was great. Advice: don't lie to your customers then avoid them. read more

My bf and I personally love this dennys. Everytime after a gym session gone too long or an emergency craving far too late, this place is always open and the food is great everytime. Although staff may not always appear friendly, with some kindness and understanding, they're great and reliable. Thanks Dennys read more

Wow dennys! I got to agree with Stacey the service was really good for a busy night after the club. It was about 2:30am. People everywhere. Our server was really cool, he made jokes and although busy he was still on top of stuff. My order was a little off I wanted cheese on my hashbrowns but I guess its a good thing cause then I don't have to feel guilty eating late with so much cheese. ha ha. Satisfying meal after a night of drinking and dancing... read more

I remember when this Denny's first opened, their service used to be so good, but ever since Main Street Alhambra became a place for clubs (ghetto clubs with a very unattractive crowd) this place has gone to hell. They must've spent their budget on training their staff in self defense in case a customer is a drunk from the clubs instead or customer service training because I waited 7 minutes at the front, not being seated when there were at least 10 available seats and all the waitress/hostess did was.....nothing, she straight out ignored me. I now go to the IHOP on Commonwealth in Alhambra read more

Would've been 1 star like the rest if this review was written years ago. But I give it 4 stars. Why? I became a REGULAR, not a one lunch/dinner stand. So discrimination it be. If the 15min wait for your food was all it took to give Dennys a 1 star, well fuck your couch you damn princess. I understand if theres only like 1 other table, thats a long wait. But if you never tried cooking for a load of people in under 10 minutes, then just sit there. drink your drink. and wait. Btw, its DENNYS. Not Ding-Dong-Duong Denny. They're American. They serve you your food when eveyone elses food is ready. VIP card = bueno :) read more

Went to this Denny's because we thought it would be less busy on a Saturday morning. True enough, no wait. Should have read the reviews. We were seated in back booth. Two Mosquitos hovered thru whole meal. I told the kids to ignore them, but one landed on placemat. I killed it and out squirted blood. Yuck! We ordered one hash skillet. The skillet wasn't even a fourth filled and looked nothing like the menu picture. We complained and they did give us a small side. But seriously, it should not have come looking so anorexic! read more

I'm not a big fan of corporate run restaurants but we came here for a neighborhood community event. The 3 stars are for the breakfast food which was pretty good but not amazing. I give 5 stars for the one waitress that was attending to our 30 plus person group that was in the private room in the back, she was sweating running back and forth serving us. read more

I ordered to go, repeated my order and the man on the phone repeated it back to me. When I get there I repeat the order again, my fault I didn't check the bag before I left but I order a skillet and ended up with an omelette. The man at the register didn't give me my proper change, but when I pointed it out he fixed his mistake. The ONLY reason I'm giving three stars is because the omelette was very good, it had bacon and cheese and tomatoes. Came with hashbrowns and wheat toast. Very good:) I just really love dennys food. read more

Nice place to eat brunch or dinner good price for a lot. I go here with my friends all the time.

Denny's food is very average haha not bad but not amazing. You can place a to go order on Yelp for Denny's which is really nice. I ordered Denny's on Christmas morning, they were extremely busy but got my order out on time. The service was good and the food was decent. I recommend the grand slam for breakfast or the season fries with ranch. Their season fries and ranch are amazing. read more

The pricing is better than other american diners/restaurants around town! The food is pretty good, but their pancakes could be better. Very good service though! read more

I came here in the morning a few Sundays ago. It was busy with a wait, which I expected and didn't mind. The hunger strike started after the host sat us down at a booth. I should have been alarmed from the first (and biggest) red flag. Every table/booth in the section I was in had people with menus on their table and people looking around for a server. Minutes passed by, which seemed like an eternity when your stomach starts devouring itself. The host (probably also the manager) repeatedly walked by to seat other guests but ignored our desperate cries for attention. After 15 minutes of waiting and no sign of help coming, the manager finally realizes the situation and says he'll send the server right over. 5 - 10 minutes later the server emerges from the back to start taking orders from the booth next to us. For whatever reason, it's taking an incredible amount of time (5+ minutes) to get an order from 4 people who have clearly become best friends with the menu for the past 20 minutes. The server finally finishes taking the order and I try not to act so desperate and like I've ordered food before, so I play it cool. Wrong move, the server walks right by everyone else who had been waiting just as long to start punching in the order and disappears into the back again. At that point I decided to give up hopes on having pancakes that day, it wasn't meant to be. I left, defeated and hungry, but wiser knowing to avoid this location. read more

I ordered over easy eggs via uber eats. Shit was raw. Tons of clear yolk, I almost gagged. I spoke w/ the manager he said they serve over easy eggs raw. Literally argued with me that it was normal when in fact it is not. It's one thing to make a mistake it's another to act like it's okay. This happened this morning around 10 am. I'll never order this location Denny's again. read more

Good ol Denny's . I love coming to Denny's once in a while. But this time i just would love to get their pancakes, but Unfortunately it was not my day. I just wanted something simplee. Pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon. But i guess i asked too muchh. The pancake is burnt. I try to flip it and not get the burnt but its all around . I hate to complain but i had to let the manager know. But when i informed him, he didnt care. All he said was do you want another one? I replied " i dont want another one, just let the chef knoww that he over did the pancakes" thats it. Its not hard to make pancakes , its just one of those days that i want to eat out. I didnt want another pancake.. i still taste the burnt in my mouth. Eggs were small, turkey bacon was sad looking. Sad to say but i probably wont be coming again, not for a while. So i went to pay and mentioned again to him about the burnt pancakes, and they still charge me for the pancakes. Or at least a comp coffee would be nice. But no. So now its a 1 star. Bad Customer Service!!!! read more

We had dinner here tonight 11/21/2014. The server started to take our orders: when I said I'm ready he told me that I have to wait and he had to take the orders from the other table. I think this waiter does not have the finesse to tell me that he's sorry but he'll have to wait in the other table first. That gesture would gave been nicer to take rather than to tell me to just "Wait". Now I've been dining at restaurants like universal hiltons cafe Sierra, Ruths Chris in Beverly Hiils & Pasadena and Fogo de Chao at BH and have never been treated harshly. MY COMMENT TO PATRONS DINING HERE AT NIGHT- COME TO DENNYS ALHAMBRA FOR BREAKFAST (the waitresses are much nicer) DO NOT EAT THERE FOR DINNER - service is awful -- maybe they're short of people but I think our waiter was just PLAIN RUDE!! -- date 11/21/2014 21:58:36 Bill before tip was $35.14. This morning I ordered the prime rib Cobb salad. The lettuce was already biodegrading. Please see attached pictures. With that I also ordered a fruit salad, the apples had some sort of yogurt or creamy something dropped on them (not on purpose) as well as paper towel dried to the skin of the apple. So I sent everything back except for my beverage so far. I canceled the steak and eggs I ordered. I informed the waiter that I would not be ordering anything else and he said ok let me grab your check....... lol. So I sat there waiting for this check to see what was going to be on it. Very rarely do I ever send anything back but like I said please see the pictures below. About 10 min later he comes up to me and quietly says, "We will cover your beverage." I picked my jaw up off of the floor and thanked the gentleman and left. read more

Horrible dennys went here on a Sunday had a server named Charlie was super rude and got my order and my families food incorrect three times .. and maybe the servers shouldn't talk so loud to there coworkers where customers can hear ..I over heard my server Charlie talking to a old woman server named Laura both were saying how cheap customers are ect . Terrible service! First, they skipped my name to be seated. I waited 30min when they had originally said 10min. Once sat down, it took over 20min JUST to be acknowledged. Which means our order wasn't even taken. FINALLY our server came to take our order. A table was sat after, across from us. The same server took their order after taking ours and they got their drinks before we did. I had to ask for our drinks AGAIN to get them. My mom got her coffee on a cracked mug and and was leaking all over the table. I had to ask for another mug. By the time our food came out, I was too upset to even take a bite. The server did not come once to check on us after our food was served. I had to flag her down to get our check. I should've just walked out, I'm sure she wouldn't have noticed. read more

I ordered online specifically so i didnt have to wait 30 mins...i get here and the RUDE cashier already has an attitude problem. She told me it wasnt ready. I understand they are busy so i asked her how much longer since the app told me it would be ready by 10:30. She claps bacl and says "i have to see if your order is even on the menu ok"...she proceeds to tell me it is (as it should be because i ordered online) so again i ask this woman to give me a time range and she says "i dont know theres three online orders ahead of you plus dine so i cant help you" Like whats the problem lady? I came to pick up the food I PAID for at the time the APP said to pick it up. Maybe dennys should work on giving more realistic pick up times for online orders so people arent standing around like they are dinning in P.S... how is the food barley warm when it took so long? NEVER go to this Denny's. They refused to seat us even though there were so many booths open. Right when we entered the waiter told us to wait 15-20 minutes. 30 minutes passed and I asked her if it would be easier if we split up our group of 9. She told us wait 5 more minutes and that they were backed up. We waited another 15 and she ignored us when we asked to be seated. I have NEVER had this happen to me and I'm extremely disappointed.
