We needed a repair on some equipment under warranty & our pool company contacted this company to address it. We had limited contact. They emailed us to schedule a time to come out. We attempted to call with a question, but didn't receive a call back during business hours. We instead received another email the following day with a response. They were able to send someone out promptly. The worker who came was friendly & courteous. He was able to handle things without needing our presence & was quick to do the necessary fix. Things seem to be working fine now, but there was no further contact from the company to follow up & ensure there were no more issues. read more

Came out within a day of my phone call, immediately diagnosed the problem and had the parts on hand to make the repair. Price was phenomenal. Much better than the actual installer of my pool and system. I'm using these guys as long as I have a swimming pool. read more

I want to share my experience with Dennett Pools to help others be aware. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been very negative. I had multiple issues with their service, but the most serious one involved my pool's auto-fill system. Their technician placed rocks inside the auto-fill sensor, which caused the water to run continuously for weeks without my knowledge. Because my pool is located near a slope, the water was running down the hill into neighboring properties. I only became aware of the issue after the water department contacted me about unusually high water usage. When I called the company, instead of properly diagnosing and fixing the problem, they shut off my irrigation system without informing me. As a result, my plants began to die until I realized what had happened and started watering them myself. Even after I reported the issue, it was not resolved. I had to call another company, Sacramento Valley Pool Service, who quickly identified the problem and showed me the rocks that had been placed in the auto-fill sensor. When I contacted Donut Pool again to explain what had happened, the owner (Jeff) responded by yelling at me and defending his staff instead of addressing the issue professionally. There was no apology or attempt to resolve the situation. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I strongly recommend that anyone using this company closely monitor their work, as they did not take responsibility for the damage caused in my case. read more

Price was right but I can not get a hold of anyone. My husband spoke to a service tech at the office a few weeks ago, I have asked my pool tech to have the office call me a few weeks back and my daughter did so today as well. I have called and left several messages, and my email keeps getting kicked back as not delivered. Ive emailed the office and billing. Billing seems to go through but no response. They are still in business. I do know that. My daughter spoke to the service tech that stopped to clean the pool today. I last spoke to the office via email 2/19. He told me that my spa was empty and he said it is probably a bad check valve, bad actuator or leak. Well low and behold it filled back up on its own that day, so we didn't worry about it. The main issue is when we turn on the heater it drains the spa. The control box is not set up correctly. We cant get a hold of anyone to fix it and we are not able to use it. Now I am looking to cancel. I hope this review gets to someone. I do not know any other way to reach out at this point. - Jenn Christine read more

This company came recommended to us. I reached out for an estimate. They responded the next morning with a request for pictures of our pool. They responded with a quote. I replied with a question and did not hear back. I read the reviews that did mention the communication was lacking. I needed them to answer my question before I made a decision between several companies. I had to go with the reviews. Communication is important when deciding on a new service provider. read more

We are first time pool owners so our knowledge is very slim when it comes to pool maintenance. Dennett Pool Service was recommended to us by a friend and I am so impressed with their customer service . We had issues figuring out some of our equipment but Jeff was so quick to respond to my emails, he was able to send out Shane to come fix the problem the next day so our kids could enjoy the pool for Spring Break. Jessie our pool guy is always so sweet to our two dogs and does a good job cleaning it. Thank you again for all your hard work guys and keep up the great work ! read more

I've never worked with a company who refuses to have voice convo's with prospective customers. I need to replace over $7k in pool equipment. I emailed back and forth with Jeff for a week with questions and requests for a conversation prior to accepting.... Jeff responded one time every weekday morning via email, and not once did he call me back. It seems new customers are not a priority for Dennett Pools read more

Keith is great! We recently moved into the area and had t had a pool on over 10 years. I have used them to fix some relays, replace pool lights to led, and replace a pump. They did a great job each time and highly recommended.

We've been using Dennett pool service for a couple years now. It doesn't matter when I send an email, I get a prompt response. They were always clear and concise in the recommendations. Their pricing is very transparent and consistent. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding pool service. read more

We made an appointment on May 7, 2021 for Orientation on Our Pool Equipment for today May 25, 2021 and they flaked out in us and they stated they were too busy! How Unprofessional when they were contracted with Our landscaper to maintain our Brand New Swimming Pool for 30 days then to orient us on the pool equipment as well as assist us in setting up our wireless pool equipment. We are brand New in having a Pool and was informed by our landscaper company whom built our pool that after 30 days of Maintenance with Dennett Pool Service they would orientate us with the equipment. Nope and they have NO intention of complying with their end of the contract. All they do is complain about how far we lived and made any excuse Not to give us our orientation on our equipment as well as set up our wireless! read more

I was referred to Robert through another company who doesn't do "gas pool heaters, I had originally reached out to someone else and could get them there without signing on to a $150 diagnosis fee. Robert and Sean showed up and got right to work and corrected the issue right away and addressed a few other concerns. He was knowledgeable, professional and honest. After reading several reviews prior to writing mine, i was baffled to see the lower rating, I realize that Robert is a huge asset in this company it is very hard to find an honest professional in any industry. I am great full for the referral and I hope the company retains Robert for years to come. I have more upgrading to do and would follow Robert where ever he may go. read more

Here's what being a "valued client" for 4 years gets you: Their service tech was out at my place and inadvertently left before reconnecting a pipe. He also shut the breaker off to all of my equipment. When I got home on Saturday a good chunk of my backyard was flooded and water was gushing out of the pipe that was left unconnected. I texted the owner and was almost instantly scolded for leaving him "a weekend text". No apology for the catastrophe, no offer of help, no mention whatsoever of the situation at hand. Only a verbal spanking for my text. As a business owner myself to say that I was offended would be the understatement of the century. I instantly texted back that his services would no longer be needed to which he replied "Fine with me." That's what you get for being a longtime client. Oh, and still no fix to the issue they caused. read more

Dennet's service team is excellent. They are professional, have technical skills and understanding of pool systems and the know how to make recommendations and changes. I had a PentAir Kreepy Krauly pool sweep that was only 14 months old, and it stopped working. Since it was under warranty, PentAir provided me with 3 pool cleaning companies that could service the sweep. None of them would call me back, and none had time to service, due to COVID. This went on for 2 months. Later, I was directed to Dennett Pools. The guys at Dennett Pools got back to me the same day and serviced my sweep immediately. They are very professional and respect the client's time. My pool sweep is working again and my pool is crystal clear. Thank you so much Dennett Pools. read more

Dennett Pools has been servicing my pool for the 9 years I have lived in this home in Loomis. Our pool is challenging as we have two very large heritage oaks, that drop pollen, flowers, and leaves. We are on 10 acres with lots of other trees and grasses that contribute dust and pollen into the pool. After the most recent rainy season our pool was flooded with dirty water from our pastures. It took some time but the guys at Dennett got it back to crystal clear. They are the champions of pool service. read more

I've used Dennett to replace some parts on my pool system including the variable speed pump, a few automatic valves, and re-plumb the pool sweep. Robert who does the service calls is always professional , gets the job done fast, and knows what he is doing. My home warranty company sent some other pool service guy out who didn't have a clue what he was doing so I gave Robert a call and he was here the next day getting me back up and running. I will for sure be using these guys again and I highly recommend them. Fair prices , timely service, can't beat them. read more

Been a customer for about a year now, nothing but great things to say about these guys, extremely fast responses whenever I had a question or needed a fix. To start, they quoted us $125 based on size and area of our pool we gave over the phone, then he came and decided to charge $175 for no apperant reason, I guess saw the pool was really nice and thought we can afford to pay more...its a new pool and we needed salt, so the owner sent a guy to pour the salt and the the whole way from driveway to to the back of the house was covered in salt, he spilled it as he was walking and left without cleaning. When we contacted the owner and explained what happened, the only thing he said was that the guy probably didnt have anything to clean it!!! Are you serious??? Thats your response??? How about sorry, we will clean it or offer discount on next service...so we ended up cleaning it ourselves and that was the only and last time we have these guys do anything with our pool. Horrible service!!! read more

We've given ample amount of notices and time for this company to do the right thing, so here we are. Bought three variable speed (rebuilt) OVERPRICED pumps from Dennett Pools, a remote panel and electric valves. Pumps had issues shortly after installed. We were told by other pool professionals that the overall installation was done incorrectly, (they glued fittings instead of using unions) where they can't be removed for repair or adjustment. We've left messages for the last three months with the owner,Craig Dennett and his office for assistance, NO RETURN CALLS OR TEXTS, no attempts by them to assist with the pump warranty. They came out in early July to replace a valve that went bad soon after they installed it, they had known about the pump issues at the time and still didn't address them when at the service call. The tech left in a rush and the pumps haven't been addressed since. After months of the recently installed pumps not working, we found an O-ring that dislodged from a fitting they installed, stuck in between the pump motor and the filter basket. The pump is non operational, a big waste of money. We are blown away by the blatant unprofessionalism. I'd think twice about using this company and relying on their products or service. read more

My fiance's pool had a problem with the cleaning system and I was recommended to call this place the repair. In the beginning, the person who helped me said he would come out to take a look at the pool before he sent out a technician for the repair. After contacting the person via email, he gave me the run around of not wanting to come out to the house since it was too far for them. This was not professional at all. First of all, if you call in to the place there is no answer and even after I left two messages they still did not call me back. It seems you would have to contact them via email for an answer. Do not come to this place if you're not a local because they will not give you the time of day ad will give excuses to not have to drive out there to your house even after saying they would do so. read more

Dennett Pools fixed a power supply issue at my home and did a fantastic job. Another pool company came and quoted a whole new control board at over $2000 but I had a concern having only replaced that item 1 year ago. Robert then came over and diagnosed the issue as a power supply problem which he immediately fixed at a cost of $150! He inadvertently charged me $300 which I still liked better then $2000 but he realized the mistake and send me back my check with a nice apology and a corrected invoice. How often these days does this happen as I find it truly refreshing that a company is so honest and transparent. I will certainly work with them again. read more

Robert has now worked on my pool equipment twice, first to replace a salt cell then to replace valves and misc issues ive had. My motherboard went out on my Pentair Equipment, and Pentair sent me a list of a few companies qualified to make this repair. I contacted them all, and ended up going with Dennett Pools.
