We attempted to call with a question, but didn't receive a call back during business hours. We instead received another email the following day with a response. They were able to send someone out promptly. The worker who came was friendly & courteous. He was able to handle things without needing our presence & was quick to do the necessary fix. I want to share my experience with Dennett Pools to help others be aware. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been very negative. I had multiple issues with their service, but the most serious one involved my pool's auto-fill system. Their technician placed rocks inside the auto-fill sensor, which caused the water to run continuously for weeks without my knowledge. Because my pool is located near a slope, the water was running down the hill into neighboring properties. I only became aware of the issue after the water department contacted me about unusually high water usage. When I called the company, instead of properly diagnosing and fixing the problem, they shut off my irrigation system without informing me. As a result, my plants began to die until I realized what had happened and started watering them myself. Even after I reported the issue, it was not resolved. I had to call another company, Sacramento Valley Pool Service, who quickly identified the problem and showed me the rocks that had been placed in the auto-fill sensor. When I contacted Donut Pool again to explain what had happened, the owner (Jeff) responded by yelling at me and defending his staff instead of addressing the issue professionally. There was no apology or attempt to resolve the situation. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I strongly recommend that anyone using this company closely monitor their work, as they did not take responsibility for the damage caused in my case. read more

Price was right but I can not get a hold of anyone. My husband spoke to a service tech at the office a few weeks ago, I have asked my pool tech to have the office call me a few weeks back and my daughter did so today as well. I have called and left several messages, and my email keeps getting kicked back as not delivered. Ive emailed the office and billing. Billing seems to go through but no response. They are still in business. I do know that. My daughter spoke to the service tech that stopped to clean the pool today. I last spoke to the office via email 2/19. He told me that my spa was empty and he said it is probably a bad check valve, bad actuator or leak. Well low and behold it filled back up on its own that day, so we didn't worry about it. The main issue is when we turn on the heater it drains the spa. The control box is not set up correctly. We cant get a hold of anyone to fix it and we are not able to use it. How Unprofessional when they were contracted with Our landscaper to maintain our Brand New Swimming Pool for 30 days then to orient us on the pool equipment as well as assist us in setting up our wireless pool equipment. Here's what being a "valued client" for 4 years gets you: Their service tech was out at my place and inadvertently left before reconnecting a pipe. He also shut the breaker off to all of my equipment. When I got home on Saturday a good chunk of my backyard was flooded and water was gushing out of the pipe that was left unconnected. I texted the owner and was almost instantly scolded for leaving him "a weekend text". No apology for the catastrophe, no offer of help, no mention whatsoever of the situation at hand. Only a verbal spanking for my text. As a business owner myself to say that I was offended would be the understatement of the century. I instantly texted back that his services would no longer be needed to which he replied "Fine with me." That's what you get for being a longtime client. I had a PentAir Kreepy Krauly pool sweep that was only 14 months old, and it stopped working. Since it was under warranty, PentAir provided me with 3 pool cleaning companies that could service the sweep. None of them would call me back, and none had time to service, due to COVID. I was having a problem with my Pentair Intellichlor since it was installed by another company. Called all over and nobody would touch my acid dosing system. Finally called pentair warranty line and they contracted with Dennett Pools. Robert called me later that day and setup an appointment. He was punctual and fixed me problem in the first visit! The previous plumber has some connections mixed up and a sensor had failed. He corrected it all and adjusted the system to function correctly with my salt pool. Dennett Pools has been servicing my pool for the 9 years I have lived in this home in Loomis. Our pool is challenging as we have two very large heritage oaks, that drop pollen, flowers, and leaves. To start, they quoted us $125 based on size and area of our pool we gave over the phone, then he came and decided to charge $175 for no apperant reason, I guess saw the pool was really nice and thought we can afford to pay more...its a new pool and we needed salt, so the owner sent a guy to pour the salt and the the whole way from driveway to to the back of the house was covered in salt, he spilled it as he was walking and left without cleaning. When we contacted the owner and explained what happened, the only thing he said was that the guy probably didnt have anything to clean it!!! Are you serious??? Thats your response??? How about sorry, we will clean it or offer discount on next service...so we ended up cleaning it ourselves and that was the only and last time we have these guys do anything with our pool. We've given ample amount of notices and time for this company to do the right thing, so here we are. Bought three variable speed (rebuilt) OVERPRICED pumps from Dennett Pools, a remote panel and electric valves. Pumps had issues shortly after installed. We were told by other pool professionals that the overall installation was done incorrectly, (they glued fittings instead of using unions) where they can't be removed for repair or adjustment. We've left messages for the last three months with the owner,Craig Dennett and his office for assistance, NO RETURN CALLS OR TEXTS, no attempts by them to assist with the pump warranty. They came out in early July to replace a valve that went bad soon after they installed it, they had known about the pump issues at the time and still didn't address them when at the service call. The tech left in a rush and the pumps haven't been addressed since. After months of the recently installed pumps not working, we found an O-ring that dislodged from a fitting they installed, stuck in between the pump motor and the filter basket. The pump is non operational, a big waste of money. We are blown away by the blatant unprofessionalism. I'd think twice about using this company and relying on their products or service. read more

Dennett Pools fixed a power supply issue at my home and did a fantastic job. Another pool company came and quoted a whole new control board at over $2000 but I had a concern having only replaced that item 1 year ago. Robert then came over and diagnosed the issue as a power supply problem which he immediately fixed at a cost of $150! He inadvertently charged me $300 which I still liked better then $2000 but he realized the mistake and send me back my check with a nice apology and a corrected invoice. My fiance's pool had a problem with the cleaning system and I was recommended to call this place the repair. In the beginning, the person who helped me said he would come out to take a look at the pool before he sent out a technician for the repair. After contacting the person via email, he gave me the run around of not wanting to come out to the house since it was too far for them. This was not professional at all. First of all, if you call in to the place there is no answer and even after I left two messages they still did not call me back. It seems you would have to contact them via email for an answer. Robert came out right on schedule, and worked his magic! He really made a complicated repair look simple. I had one board go bad, which fried the other board as well. If I could give this business zero stars, I would. I called them out to my place last summer to get my pool up and running (it had gotten yucky over the winter). Someone came out, said he'd do some investigation to find out what was going on. I inquired about monthly pool service and the rep said he'd check with the owner. After checking out my equipment, he said that they'd need to fix my little pool sweep. I wasn't sure how much that would be so I asked. The service person couldn't give me an answer, "Ummm, I'm not sure, but not too much". After he left, I assumed they were waiting for my authorization. I assumed they couldn't just fix something without my approval first. I never heard from them or saw them again. Until I began receiving bills from them... but I never signed anything telling them to begin service...I had only asked about prices, thinking I'd shop around. Fast forward three months and I have a bill for almost $700! For what??? My pool was never in great shape when they were supposedly coming to service it. What did they fix? It seems like they did a whole lot of nothing so that they could charge me for a ghost service. I now have an amazing pool company that comes out weekly and has superb communication.
