We've used a few different pool services over the years, without much satisfaction. We ended up with Pool Tech when our last guy retired. He was older with health issues, which was the only reason we cut him some slack and didn't just replace him. I can't tell you how surprised we were that the new service co would be so great. Our tech, Mike, is super! Always personable, yet quick and efficient and very reliable. Shows up every Friday morning like clockwork, without fail. Dan, the owner, is very knowledgeable and responsive. We seem to have crap luck when it comes to hiring "skilled labor". My dad had his pool redone a year ago, including resurfacing, tile work, and concrete decking. Over $32k worth of work. The pool looks great, but a year later, when we went to sell the house, we discovered a permit was NOT pulled for the work. Called Dan's business yesterday. He seemed to really have the expertise I'm looking for in a pool company. Read the great reviews (below) and, Dan offered a good price for cleaning my pool filter.. So, he said one of his crew could come today at 8am. I told him I'd be home to talk with the tech. 8am came, no tech. At 8:15, I called Dan and (no answer) left a message "I haven't seen or heard from your tech - haven't received a text or phone call - did I misunderstand the date of time? I woke up early on my day off to meet the tech... could he please call to clarify.. It's now almost 10 am right now and so far, no call, explanation, apology....no bueno... Dan is amazing and knows everything pool related. He is honest and work fast. I did chat with other electricians about the issues I had with my pool equipment and they quoted a much higher price and told me I had to change the panel when Dan came over he actually fixed it for me instead for less than half that I have been quoted before. I decided to go with Dan because of his apparent knowledge and his willingness to design a new system for me. My automation was old. My heater stopped working a year ago. Super happy with my new Pentair totally automated system. I can access everything through my phone or laptop or iPad. Turning on and off remotely. I just bought a home with a pool and I had no idea how to care for it. I was wanting someone to come out quickly before it started to go bad. Dan made an appointment for the next day and took time to educate me about the basics of my pool. Scott is the crew member that regularly services my pool and like Dan, he is very polite, quiet and efficient. If I have a question, I can pop out and ask, otherwise, he is in and out, never leaving a mess or even upsetting the neighbor's dog (a trick I still have not learned). He was able to meet with me, order the product, and install it in less than a week! Dan is very knowledgeable, and communicates clearly. One of the best responses I have had yet when it comes to home repair or maintenance. I called Dan to consult about getting a new pump or two. Dan is a straight shooter. He told me the kind of equipment he installs (Only the best) and even said he would install the cheaper brands, but did not recommend it. I did a little research on the equipment he recommended as if I were to buy it myself and found that Dan was treating me very fair on the price. He was very flexible with meeting with me for an estimate. Dan came out on a Saturday (He normally doesn't work Saturdays) and completed a double pump install. Clean plumbing work, clean electrical work and he topped it off with a fresh coat of paint on all the pipes. NICE WORK DAN. I will be going back for all my pool repairs and maintenance. read more

Dan is wonderful! A month or so ago, our pump died I called a company who was able to come out the next day and Dan, though has his own company, was assisting with the install because of the more technical background he had which is needed with the more technical equipment. Then recently it stopped working..it had no electricity. Through a loop of people, level headed Dan came out and found and showed my issue. Bad Booster pump. It had literally melted. He quoted me about how much it is to replace, reasonable price. He'd already taken it apart to see the issue, and instead of putting it all together he paused and said, 'You know, I have one on my truck for a job tomorrow, I can just put it in here and I'll pick up another for the job tomorrow." It was already 7:00pm. He did it fast and was so great about it. Have Dan be your 'go-to' guy for any pool issues. read more
