I didn't know anything about this place or its wines when I arrived. It was just a sunny day and I chose this place at random based on its Yelp rating. My wife, 10 years old daughter and I all had a magnificent time that reminded us of the fun we had eating like this in Italy The service was a bit odd as we had different servers so we must have been between shifts, but they were nice but slow. We weren't in a hurry so we enjoyed the ambiance of this well lit and comfortable place. My wife added it to her favorites to take friends to enjoy conversation and light eating. Always walked by this place, but happy we finally got to try it! Had a work dinner here to celebrate the retirement of one of our site leads. When we arrived, we weren't greeted, but we could see the staff chatting behind the bar. Once seated, though, we found a really pretty personalized three-course menu plus charcuterie waiting for us. We had really great service once inside the private room, and the food was absolutely delicious! The charcuterie had a great assortment of cheeses, meats, pickles, and other accompaniments. I had the carrots with whipped feta for my starter, and it was perfect. For the main course, the steaks came out, which was my only real disappointment of the night. Every other steak plate had these large, beautiful pieces, while I was left with all of the steak ends and tinier bits. It was a bit of a bummer, especially since all of my coworkers had plenty to take home. Dessert (chocolate gateau) was just okay. I wish the cake had been a bit richer, but I know that's hard to do when it's dairy-free. Overall, a good experience, but I would suggest the kitchen be more mindful of portion variation across the same dish. It can leave a yummy steak having a poor taste in a guest's mouth! read more

Really wonderful place with great food and a cool vibe! The halibut croquettes were great, crispy on the outside and warm and tender on the inside with great flavor and sauce. The burger was a good classic one but nothing special, but the fries were the absolute standout of the night. The seasoning tasked exactly like bbq sauce and was fantastic. Very chic and elegant place in University Village! We came here on a weekday for Seattle Restaurant week - at $35pp we got a super delicious and high quality 3 course meal! For appetizers, the carrot soup and crab croquettes were the perfect portion and delicious. The soup had the perfect autumn flavor and creamy texture. The crab croquette came with zesty tartar sauce that complemented the dish. For the entree: short rib paparadelle had a generous amount of short rib that was super tender and flavorful. The Zabuton steak was also very tender and cooked perfectly - probably as good as the ones you'd get at a good steakhouse. Dessert was also very satisfying. We had a chocolate mousse that was creamy and not overly sweet/decadent. Our favorite was the blueberry lavender mousse which was perfectly floral and refreshing. I went for an early dinner with a friend and we had a lovely experience. We started with non-alcoholic beverages, the Loire Valley Spritz and a ginger beer. Both were flavorful and fizzy, and fun drinks without alcohol are always appreciated. To eat, we began with the bread. It came with 6 pieces of bread, 3 slices of 2 types. My favorite was the butter with flaky salt. It also paired well with the sauce of my duck dish. For our mains, my friend had the burger and I had the crispy duck entree. My friend said the burger and fries were good, but he felt it was overpriced as a dish, which I can agree with. The crispy duck was crispy, albeit it slightly overcooked; but it was still delicious. I really liked the accompaniment of beans and kale with bacon lardons and breadcrumbs, and the sauce was SO good that I used our extra bread to sop it up. I had a coupon for a complementary dessert, so we enjoyed the opera cake. All of the layers were tasty and went well together, and I liked how rich the chocolate ganache was. Our server was kind and provided food recommendations. The food came out quickly. The ambiance of the restaurant was upscale but not stuffy. We were lucky to be seated in the "speakeasy / wine tasting room" that have a more lux feel with Bordeaux burgundy painted walls, posh seating, a moody ambience. For dinner, I ordered a few appetizers to share with 2 others that joined me that evening. - Crab salad 4/5 - Grilled & chilled blue prawns 4/5 - Beet salad 4/5 - French fries with smoke aioli 5/5 For dinner I had the seared black cod served with charred cabbage and carrot sauce. The cook on the fish was great. Really enjoyed the different textures of the dish. I would rate it 4/5. My friend had the Mafaldine Pasta and it was rather delicious with the flavorful lamb and al dente pasta, 5/5 would recommend that dish. My other friend had the steak that came with a large portion of fries (awesome!) For dessert, we had to try all 3. The olive oil cake, opera cake and the pistachio. Highly recommend any of those desserts. Very well done, rich and just the right amount of sweetness! The service was amazing. We had a fabulous time and would come back. I had been looking forward to coming here and was actually disappointed. The service was excellent and I had a French 75 cocktail that was one of the best ever. The staff was friendly and the bartender/waiter was fun to talk to. My friend and I shared the Dungeness Salad appetizer and it was so bland and had NO taste of the crab. The the lunch menu was limited and disappointing. They only sell brunch Friday-Sunday. I had the croque monseur and it was meh and greasy, along with fries which had been raved about and there's lots of places with better. First time visiting DeLille En Ville and the dinner experience was pretty darn good. Got steak tartare, which was okay, not wow, but came with some nice toasted baguette that had a kind of harissa that was great. The mussels were a hit. The steak frites was good, though the fries are very salty and we asked for low salt. The duck confit was well liked. The salad - I think it was the "King" salad - was delicious. The wine list is okay but is really lacking depth, both in terms of selection and age. I get that many people seem to like drinking wines that have no age on them but DeLille makes wines that will last forty years and are so much better after at least ten, and it is a showcase place for the winery so you would think they would have an extensive set of vintages. Review based on brunch service only. DeLille En Ville is a great addition to UVillage and it's nice to have restaurant option that has a more 'adult vibe'. The decor/feel is different from their Woodinville restaurant, it has a bright and warm feel and there was a private section I think for DeLille members. There was also a semi-private section which is great option if you have a lare party. On to the menu - overall I felt like there was good selection for shareables lunch/brunch and heavier plates - it wasn't too little or too much. Price wise, it seemed a bit high but comparable for similar style restaurants. It's nice that you can also just grab coffee and go without dining. Food: Mimosa with mango juice: this was delicious! The bubbly was great - I wish I ordered a bottle! Croque Monseiur: good size for the price, it was hearty, cheesy and good amount of ham with a good balance of mornay sauce - it was just enough to sop the bread. The salad was simple but tasty and was not overdressed. Egg came late, so the croque was not as warm anymore. Apple & Hazelnut Mille Feuille: good option if you're looking for something light. The apple butter and vanilla cream was a tasty combo, the cream had a nice dense but light texture - it'd be be great to add on top of ice cream! Service: front of house was friendly and welcoming and our server was nice and helpful. Not sure if they didn't hear about the egg for croque monseiur, so it didn't come with it when served. When asked about it, he said it was an extra fee and we informed them that we know about it and still wanted it. My friend and I were surprised that they didn't take our dishes back - instead they were left at our table and the eggs came out seperately. While I was observing the other tables, it seemed like it took some time for servers to get orders or even check up on them. All in all- it was a good experience. I would for sure go back for drinks and try other dishes - great place to meet with friends, but will wait until some of the service wrinkles are ironed out. read more

We made reservations for Friday during their grand opening. I have mixed feelings about this place for now. There's nothing glaringly wrong but I felt that the experience and food was not worth the price point. You can easily spend $100 - $150 per person with drinks, an app or dessert, and main course. With that price point, I'd expect to be wowed by something, but this experience left me pretty ambivalent. Nothing about the experience left me feeling like "you have to try this!" or like they had a competitive advantage over other restaurants of the same price point when it came to taste of food, drinks, or apps/dessert. This place has a different vibe than the Woodinville restaurant. The front area is a lounge where you could have coffee during the day. On a sunny day, this would be a nice place to sit but it felt drab for dinner after dark. As you move back into the restaurant, there is a back room with blue walls that feels much more like a dinner spot. There's lots of nooks and crannies throughout the place that could make it interesting for private groups. I would like to eat dinner in the blue room if I return, saving the front room for lunch, happy hour, or coffee. I love duck dishes and carrots and neither left me feeling like I would come back for them. The duck lacked richness of flavor despite the accouterments and the carrots were too soft. Don't get me wrong, they were both decent but not memorable. The best food we had was the apple mille-feuille for dessert. I'd never had mille-feuille before, so it was fun to try! Crispy and tasty! The drink menu is extensive, as you'd expect from a place associated with a winery, so I would like to explore more of that! If you want to check this place out, I'd recommend coming for happy hour drinks before committing to a full dinner. I'd be willing to come back but would wait a while until they find their groove on the food menu. read more

We had been to the DeLille Winery in Woodinville and were excited when this opened in U Village. This is not exactly like the Woodinville one, but maintains the high standards and absolutely worth a visit. The interior is very nice and new. I love their wines and usually have the D2. They have a wine here that was unique to the restaurant and may be a little better, just outstanding. Service was good, if slow at times (particularly waiting for food). We started with the cheese plate. It was great, with four cheeses that were all delicious and some great crostini. The large plate was good for a group of four. For the main course, I had the steak frites. The steak was cooked perfectly and really wonderful. My wife had the salmon with cabbage of all things--but that was just perfect as well. Everyone loved their meals. Then for dessert we split something that I do not remember name, but had layers of pastry with a cream in the middle and a fantastic caramel sauce. The new DeLille En Ville is a delight! The space is beautifully decorated and bright -- think marble tiles, wood and brass details, jewel tones. We were seated in the solarium, which is a really lovely bright and airy space too. They just opened two weeks ago. We walked in around 4:30pm without a reservation and were seated but I think they do get a lot of reservations, so consider making one. The service was kind and attentive. The focus is very much restaurant complemented by the wine and even some cocktails; this is by DeLille but it's really not a tasting room. We went for happy hour and were happy with the selection of bites, cocktails and wines by the glass. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was good, the fries were especially good. This is a lovely spot for a quick drink and snack or to settle in for a meal and drinks. I will happily come back here. read more

This wasn't what I expected, but still good! I went thinking it was more of a tasting room with food options, like the one in Woodinville. Not the case at all. They have a full bar, a full coffee/cafe area, and then dining. We went for happy hour and wanted to taste, and they did have a few flights, but no tastings. We got the flights, cheese board, and fries. The cheese board is not worth it- one tiny cheese, 1/4 of an apple, 1 teaspoon of jam, and a few cashews. The fries were large and we liked the seasoning. The wine flights were served in pretty glasses that were all brought out at once. Our server told us nothing about the wine. We didn't even know what the red was- the menu said "Blend" but had 0 info. It was super strange to us to be drinking wines that we had absolutely no info on at all. I didn't even need tasting notes, I just wanted to know what grapes were in the wine, which feels like bare minimum. I would recommend they print these in the future for people to reference if their servers aren't going to learn about the wine. The indoor space is beautiful. They had two rooms on the side that looked more geared to wine and were much cuter, but they didn't seat anyone here. I also let them know it was my birthday and we still kind of got a crappy table and 0 acknowledgement of any celebration. Not a huge deal, I wasn't expecting fireworks, just something to note for anyone celebrating a special occasion. read more

The seafood risotto was very uniquely tangy and not overly creamy and the assorted bread slices were large and moist. Did the 3 reds tasting and ended up taking a bottle of Pinot noir home. So excited that DeLille en Ville is finally open! I'm a big fan of their tasting room in Woodinville and thrilled they opened a location in Seattle. I went with a few friends for happy hour. I'm a member with Delille Winery and was super excited to see that they're opening another location in UW Village! My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon after opening weekend. Around 1pm, there is plenty of spots to choose from and the decor/atmosphere is super on-trend and beautiful. I loved the arched doorways and the hidden wine members only area. We ordered a flight each (the essentials one) and both an amuse bouche to start; followed by the duck pate and then ordered 2 items off their Happy Hour (which starts at 3pm!). Everything was delicious! Wine is always great; but the food itself came in good sized portions and very tasty. I loved it! A bit on the expensive side but the portions made up for it and I didn't have to wait long. The service was where it left a lot to be desired. Our waiter is clearly new (it's a new restaurant) and didn't know the menu well or the discount offered to members. Speaking of member benefits, it's only 20% off the beverage list when you're in the Dining Room! I honestly was expecting more, but since we already sat down - we still ordered the wine flight. After our meal, we walked over to the member area and that's when THAT waiter told us that the benefits are 50% off wine in the Wine Room! What?! Why didn't anyone tell us that sooner?? The food options are also different (smaller plates) but I would've preferred it. Overall - experience was mixed. Food was great - and not a lot of people so no reservations required. Service was okay... but the lack of member benefits was a bit of a miss. Next time, I may just stay in Woodinville and go to their actual tasting room and restaurant. read more

Really appreciated that De Lille has brought a sweet piece of their Woodinville pie to U-Village! First off you can't go wrong with their extensive list of wines and if you're unsure of what to pair with your food the servers are sure to get you onto the right choice. We started off with the Grilled & Chilled blue prawns that had a nice slight char with cocktail sauce under a bed of crunchy pickled cukes. The Washington Salad came loaded with bing cherries and a nice cherry vinaigrette dressing and is large enough with some added protein for a meal itself. For mains we all had the steak frittes that was a nice NY strip steak with a matrie'd butter, au jus and aioli. The bottle of 2023 DeLille Chleur Blanc was the perfect pairing for our entire dinner. Our server was very helpful and making sure we had a wonderful experience. The dining area is quite large and there's a bar set in the middle of the dining area. It is lively and can get busy at peak dinner hours but you can book a table on their website to save any grief in waiting or not being able to be seated at your preferred time. Decent but expensive brunch spot at a newly remodeled space at U-Village. There are quality ingredients in their dishes, like their grilled chicken sandwich which was tender and nicely seasoned, came with a delicious aioli sauce, and a ton of fries. My wife ordered their veggie hash that also was generously portioned, but we felt like it didn't have enough seasoning to bring out the flavors, or could use a char to add texture. We asked for hot sauce to add on but even that was rather bland. Mango mimoso was delicious, but at $16 a glass it's not cheap. Overall service was a little slow, like we got seated quickly but at least ten minutes passed before someone stopped by to bring us water and take our order. I think the bartender was doing double duty at the bar and our table so that might be why. She checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we wanted so I appreciate that as the meal went on. read more

I've been here twice and both visits were solid and really tasty. The food is thoughtfully done, and the staff was very accommodating about making modifications to the entrees -- which I appreciated since I'm allergic to spicy pepper. The Washington salad was delicious -- I just wish there had been a few more cherries in it. The salads overall are refreshing and unique, and the beet salad is a real standout.
